The breakfast sandwiches were hands-down the best we've every eaten: freshly cracked eggs broken and over-easy, with local Vermont cheese on freshly homemade english muffin, and a few dashes of Tabasco (my addition). Wow. My lunch sandwich was also delicious, with firm home-made bread and nice helpings of very fresh ingredients. Very satisfying. My wife is 26 for context- so why some girl that is probably only a few years younger thinks that is appropriate is beyond me- it even made her cry after the interaction. In all my years of customer service I have only called women "miss." So anyways- this girl was rude and she should learn that you have to treat all parties equally- man or woman, and let them ask questions without being rude. You are a cashier- that is part of the job. If the business cares to track this, I have attached a photo of the receipt for you so that you may tell this girl that sort of behavior, no matter how large or small the interaction, really put a damper on someone's day. We're native New Yorkers and weaned on old school New York traditional savory bagels (and Kossar's bialys) ... before Cinnamon, Everything or (yikes) Rainbow bagels existed. That said, we're open to other combinations to go with our smoked fish.... which is mostly whitefish salad or lox. Myer's offers a range of savory Montreal-style bagels that we've certainly ended up preferring to that city's "too sweet for us" Fairmount or St. Viateur Bagels. Myer's still uses Montreal techniques for hand-rolled, honey-boiled and wood-fired, with a comparable size - but they do it sooo much better!!! Without a doubt, truly artisan. My favorite Myer's bagel varieties are Montreal Spice, Rosemary Sea Salt, and Kitchen Sink! Especially always bring back Montreal Spice to my NYC home or have an outstanding order with my Burlington-transplant kinfolk when they come to visit. This awesome new location on Shelburne Road is a great setting. Everyone there is also super friendly, including the manager Chris.
