Had she known Steve better, she would have known this was a conversation between two people that knew each other quite well and was the type of friendly banter that passes between friends. I go to Steve regularly and first went to his shop when he worked at King's Men Barber Shop back in the 1970's, and people that know Steve can tell you that besides the great hair cut, the varied conversations you are treated to are worth the price of the haircut all by themselves.
