I always come here whenever I need a nice cut. Here is my personal review for this business. Service: The ladies that work here are very friendly. They are really cool to talk to. Even the more mature looking women have a sense of humor that can match the younger generation and that is a huge plus in customer service in my opinion. :) Quality of cuts: The style of cuts differ from person to person of course, that I understand but sometimes one of the stylists slightly messes up on my cut. I do have a weird shaped head so I won't hold that against them. lol Other than that, they do an awesome job every time I go there. Price: Price is about 14$. Very disappointed. This business advertises all over their online profiles that they style hair, but when I went in, I was told flat out that they don't do it. When I simply asked for a blowout with a large barrel brush, they finally agreed, but then quoted me a price that was way higher than what they advertise online. To make matters worse, the staff was incredibly rude and dismissive throughout the whole encounter. However, I won't use them again. The haircut I received before this last one experienced two problems. The barber was totally new, inexperienced and very nervous. The haircut was very poor and then when it came time to pay, I was shorted in my change by several dollars because the young girl didn't know how to use the cash register or how to count out change. I went again yesterday. Different barber(they are always different barbers because no one stays very long there). This time her electric shears were broken and the blades cut up my hear in several places. She just kept using them anyway. I'll never go back. You shouldn't either. read more

I appreciate that I could just walk in, whenever the time was available during my day. The atmosphere was welcoming and my phone number is all I need for future cuts as my preferences are now stored by my phone number. For a first time visit it is all going very well. Heather then took me to her station, asked about how I wanted my hair cut, and proceeded to remove about 10 pounds of overgrown hair. She cut my hair into the exact style I asked for. The atmosphere and energy is always positive and happy and friendly. excellent conversations and learn things in life while you're getting a cut pretty awesome, but today was an unexpected experience that I have witnessed with an employee there I was very shocked. I get my haircuts there for years. They have a very friendly and courteous staff. I get of course a rather easy haircut: a #2 in the lower section and #4 on top. But I guess you can mess that up as well. But whoever helps me does a fabulous job. The are especially great with children. Never again. I took my 3 daughters ages 15, 13 and 9 to get their hair cuts today (Tuesday, February 6, 2024), and they have been looking forward to getting their hair cut for a while now. Had I known the attitude one of them were giving my 9 years old AND 13 years old (both of them got it cut by the same person) I would have never even tipped her let alone let her cut my girls hair ever. We take pride in their hair coming from our cultural background, and my 9 years old and 13 years were in tears when they got home and they didn't want to say anything til we got home and I noticed that they weren't happy about their haircut. They all have asked for a certain hair style and they got something other than what they had wanted, my 13 years old after asking for a certain cut was told by one of them (she can't remember her name but she was short and blonde) told my 13 years old daughter in a sassy tone, "that cut won't work with your hair", and my 9 years old had asked for layers & she didn't even get her hair layered. And as for my 15 years old, she didn't get the hair cut that she had asked for but she's saying she's ok with it even if it's not what she wanted. It had the worst service I have ever seen. I went in to get a haircut for my son and they did a horrible job which looks nothing like the photo I showed them. The sylist was super rude and it didnt seem like she knew what she was doing. It was empty beside the two stylist who kept on giving each other looks. I went to the restroom after the haircut to clean up my son a little and when I came the stylist said I had put hair in the sink when I jad done no such thing and it was already dirty before and demanded me to clean it up. read more

Don't do it to yourself. You're probably thinking "I just need a quick trim, it'll be fine." But it won't be. It won't be fine. Make an appointment at a regular salon that doesn't churn clients out every 15 minutes. I walked in with hair to mid rib and walked out with chunks missing and a poor excuse for "layering" aka a shelf of hair that is in no way blended. The woman appeared to be physically angry at the fact I wasn't white. I have thick curly hair and only asked for the sides to be cut. I proceeded to ask if they charged for fades which seemed to make her even more angry, and began to have my hair cut. I specifically asked for her only to cut the sides and somehow she took that as cut the sides as well as all the hair flowing from the top of my head. Well been here several times....the first time April Cut my hair....loved it. 2nd time I went the stylist was Rude and burned my scalp twice with hair dryer..... 3rd time I asked for a layered bob and I didn't get it And the stylist styled my hair so it looked cute but The next day when I washed my hair I saw how uneven And horrible my cut was ......went back to have them fix it.... Was very nice about but stylist didn't want to fix it and the stylist who Gave me got so defensive that she refused to help me. April ended up fixing it.... She the only good one there.... Have had some horrible experiences with getting my kiddos hair cut here. I misspoke and blamed Jackie when it was a different stylist. My husband always has a good experience here. Last time my kids hair cut was so bad I swore to never come back but my husband asked me to give it one more try. So we went in today. Tammy did an excellent job and Jackie who had been aware of my last few experiences talked with me and didn't charge for the cut today. I will definitely be back after today's experience. I appreciate their customer service, their care for their reputation and for making things right. Today's experience gave me a whole new respect for the ladies working here. They also explained that with in a week if you have a problem come back because they guarantee their cuts. I appreciate knowing this info. I went in and told them I wasn't sure what I wanted so they told me they were going to just use scissoers and that it would end up looking "a little uneven but good" so I let them go for it and it came out with just patches of hair being shorter than others and i was very unhappy. I would give this salon 0 stars if I could. I went for a haircut in the Oroville salon and in less than 4 minutes I was set down, trimmed 1 inch off with 6 cuts of the scissors, and was spit out of her chair before I even settled in and was charged $15 for this 4 minute service. The girl acted as though she hated me and that it was to much of a bother to cut my hair even though the salon was empty. Now I understand why no one was there. I did complain to the Chico salon and they said they would talk to the owners and get back to me. It has been 2 weeks with no resolve. I am also a cosmetologist and know that the industry is based on it's customer service. I don't understand why this girl is in the industry. Have had some good and bad experiences at this location. It seems to depend on who does your cut. The bad experiences seem to come from girls who can't understand when you say to take a certain amount off that is all you want taken off: no more, no less. It's not so bad if they take off less, which is preferable and should be the side always erred on, because you can always take more off. This time she took way to much off and you can't glue that back on. Maybe they need to keep rulers handy. And yes I know that it will grow back but until it does, and that will take about 6 months, I need to figure out what to do with it for work. I usually braid it but it is entirely too short, but just long enough in the front that I can't just leave it down. So they really need to work on listening to the customers because I certainly didn't get what I asked for. read more

I got my haircut 12/5/2014. It is one of tthe worse haircuts in my 50+ years. I wear my hair Pompadour Sytyle a la Elvis Presley. After my haircut I went home to wash & style my hair. It was a complete mess. The front right quarter was 1/2" shorter than the left. The back collar line listed 10 degrees to the right, thus the right side was 1/2" longer than the left. The sides and top were all choppy; you could easily make out the lines of the sizzor cuts. The top was a disaster. It looked as if I had a yamaka hat on during the haircut (I am NOT Jewish). The woman seemed upset from the get-go as I presented her a $9.99 coupon. Normally I would not write a review to hurt someon's job, BUT men got to be warned of this place. I sure wish someone had warned me. I had a BAD premonition about the place in the beginning. Women do not cut a man's hair as good as a man does period. This place is perfect proof. read more
