I scheduled an appointment for 1:30 PM online with Diego. He wasn't there when I arrived, the person who was there wondered whether he was "coming to work." I heard her call him at home and asked him "are you coming to work?" He said he would be there in 10 minutes. 15 minutes and he had not arrived. Another client of his did arrive, he made the remark that they "had quite a night last night." I feel like I am lucky I got out of there before they started cutting my hair. Don't believe the reviews, I would avoid. read more

I've been coming to Scuzis for about 7 years. Even when I moved away for college I'd make sure to schedule an appointment when I could come back to good old grass valley to have Amos freshen me up again. Always such a great time in the shop with friendly welcoming people and great service. Always has great music playing and a great atmosphere in the shop. Amos has never done me wrong and I always appreciate his work. read more

I had Amos cut my hair. He did a nice job and actually listened to what I wanted which is why I paid the premium price he charges. I've seen Amos' has the ability to perform much higher quality and difficult hair designs than what I wanted.. When I sat down, I was quite impressed that Amos offered me a cold beer, which I accepted . talented employees , nice ambience - I might go back and I say II say might because the pricing is top-tier . read more

These guys handle their business. Fantastic haircuts, hospitality, and professionalism. Every barber cuts hair like magic, and you will step out of the chair feeling good, 10/10 times. Can't recommend these guys enough, for a great blend of chill ambiance and dedication to the craft. read more

Probably the worst hair cut I've ever gotten. I specifically called and asked if they had anyone with experience in men's long hairs cuts, they guaranteed anyone there can get the job done, obviously not. I can tell some stylist there know their stuff, but unfortunately I got the wrong one, completely butcher my hair! I ask her to leave it long enough to keep a pony tail. She chop that dang thang off! Didn't even style the hair after, just a pad on the shoulder and on my way. Never ever coming here again. read more

I've never had a bad haircut for me or my boys. Great banter, music, and a drink too!

Sierra is truly talented and wonderful. Never met her before and we talked the whole time, plus I love my haircut of course! Thanks Sierra.

Voted best in town for a reason! Highly recommend coming here! I personally go to Isaac but they're both great barbers in there. Check them out you won't be let down. read more

Scuzi's - Fade by Isaac - Barbers Near Me - Grass Valley, California

Very talented group of barbers! They all do an amazing job. We are lucky to have them here. Thank you! See you again soon!

Very cool barbershop with very talented barbers. Isaac absolutely killed a textured pompadour in line with the rockabilly era reminiscent of the generation in which I grew up. A few months earlier, he was able to clean up my beard to perfection, and just recently, his comrade " Devin", was able to give me the perfect summer rendition of my beard I look for every year as the weather turns warmer. Grass Valley is very fortunate to have access to such talented professionals. read more

My fiancé is finally getting a proper haircut. He loves his hair now. I took my 11yr old in yesterday and his picky butt came out happy! read more

Tanner is an amazing barber who takes time to make sure that each cut is exactly what you want. He makes it feel like the time in the chair is a place where the troubles in this world can be forgotten and time slowly slips away while you come out looking clean and fresh and ready to hit the town. read more

Great spot! I just took my three year old son in for a cut and unfortunately, he was less than cooperative, to put it mildly... Isaac was so patient with him and did a stellar job despite his wiggling and whining. I felt so badly that he was so difficult, but Isaac remained totally professional and didn't seem phased at all! We will definitely be coming back, but next time it won't be so close to afternoon nap time... Thanks, Isaac! On top of the great service, the shop was totally inviting and so very hip with really fun decor, a great assortment of reads and refreshments offered. Another great small business in our lovely gem of a town! read more

This was my first time visiting Scuzi's barber shop in Grass Valley. This is what a real barber shop experience is supposed to be like! Finally!! Amos made me feel right at home, he is friendly and fun to talk to. We had a great chat while he was using his skills to and giving me a much needed haircut. It is rare nowadays to see a young business owner applying himself to provide a truly quality experience for his customers. Amos and his team are booked at least a week in advance and now I understand why. Scuzi's is a must. Amos and his team will make you look like a million bucks, worth every penny! I look forward to my next appointment. read more

The best barber in Grass Valley, hell, Nevada County, period. Amos gives a great cut, nice shave and beard trim. He's got fair prices for his cuts. He's open weekends, and after 5p during the week. He is easy to make an appointment with. He has a welcoming vibe and comfortable waiting area. Deserves 10 Stars. read more

This has become my go to place for my haircut and my sons. A true barbershop experience, highly recommended

Whenever my husband and I visit town we stop by here for Amos to give him a fresh cut, and my husband is suuuuuper picky about his haircuts. He can mimic what my husbands barber from home can do, which is not an easy task! We also got married recently in Nevada City, the morning of the wedding he came in early just to squeeze in the guys in the wedding party even though it was so last minute! Welcoming atmosphere, super accommodating and talented barber. read more

This place is great! Made a same day appointment, the staff was very friendly. The place is very comfortable and has a very local feel. Dev did a great job on my husband's hair and he will absolutely be a returning customer! read more

Great place for a haircut! Highly recommended! Jill did an amazing job taming my mop.

No complaints about haircut. However, I can not support a local business that openly supports trumping right wing politics.

Just relocated to the region and I found a new home at Scuzi's. From the ease of the online appointment maker, the friendliness upon entering, or the hospitality of the cold beer and hot towel finish, this place has the perfect recipe. Amos has trimmed my beard impeccably and Issac has shaped my mop into a dapper masterpiece. Always stoked to shoot it with the Scuzi's crew about music, novelty in our lives, current events in town, and over a cold one. Go and enjoy some self care with Scuzi's. read more

Amos doesn't listen to your wants. I very clearly explained that I wanted some hair over the ears and that my hair is naturally curly so when cut shorter it "springs up" to be shorter than was intended. Also explained that I sometimes wear hearing aids and wanted some camouflage over my ears. What did he give me? Sidewalls. Either didn't listen to a word or just didn't care. Not planning to return. read more

Tanner knows what's up. There's nothing worse than a barber with no personality, Tanner is the opposite. Cool dude, good conversation, great hair cutting skills. I definitely would recommend this spot, and will definitely be coming back for my next chop. 10/10 read more

Definitely go here for a nice cut and neck shave, and, oh yeah, complimentary drink. Isaac has done my cuts and very happy with his attentiveness to how I like it. They charge reasonably and their appointment scheduled online is extremely easy to use and allowed me to reschedule when I had something come up. read more

Called before, spoke to Douglas, he said he could squeeze me in at 6. Got there at 5:30 waited until 6 and not one word was said to me. No sign up sheet, nobody asking me if I had appt, nothing. I watched two other people with Appts walk out. This is the best barbershop in grass valley? I get the feeling that locals are welcome, out of towners, not so much. read more

Went in for the first time today for a fade and beard lineup/trim and Jill killed it! Quit sleepin' and get in her chair for a cleaeeaaan cut. The shop atmosphere was chill and the barbers were very friendly. Book Jill! read more

Amos did an amazing job, that is from my wife! Loved the hot lather neck shave - nice touch guys. I would definitely recommend it, atmosphere is very comfortable and they make you feel right at home. read more

The first haircut I got here was good. But on my second visit, I warned Amos that I had a precancerous lesion on the top of my ear, and to be careful there. Nonetheless, he scraped it off, I think with his comb. I'm not sure, but it seemed more intentional than careless. The guy is a bit of a jerk, so I wouldnt be surprised. I won't go back here. read more

Great haircut, free beer, resonable prices, good coffee table reading, good atmosphere, and Amos is very friendly. Also the online scheduling is very convienant read more

Great location and atmosphere, and Amos is a great guy! I agree with a previous review - best barber in Grass Valley, and probably in Nevada County! My boy went here before I did, because it is much cooler than the place I'd taken him before, and loved his haircut. I thought I ought to give it a chance, and I'm very glad I did. I'll be a regular here now! read more

These guys are spot on! My old barber left town so I was in need of a new place. Gave them a shot based on a friend's recommendation. Lively shop and Isaac is my new goto guy and my son had his favorite cut ever by Amos. Highly recommended. read more

Very cool hanging out. Nice new haircut for my son. Too bad i don't like beer: he even offered us drinks!

My young teenage son had his hair cut here and loves the cut and shop owner. They treated him like a man - Hot steam towel to the neck upon completion. The owner is hip with styles, good with teens, and welcoming. My son has been back many times. So glad that he actually looks forward to having his hair cut now. read more

I love this place. Best haircut my son (11 y/0) has ever had. Issac rocks!

Amos doesn't know basic haircut styles that are commonly asked for. I specifically asked for none off the top to grow it out but he did it anyway. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone now that his best barber left to open his own shop. Only goes by appointments which can be very inconvenient for those needing a cut right away. Has bad language around kids which surprised even me. read more
