They told me at the time that I'm all set. But nope. I'm still getting letters from them saying I still need to pay. What is going on here???? The receptionist, a blonde, middle-aged woman, was dismissive and unapologetic, even after I made it clear I had traveled for this appointment. Instead of taking ownership, she suggested I may have made a mistake, which was both incorrect and inappropriate. There was no effort to accommodate the situation or correct it. When I asked to speak with Dr. Odinsky, she refused and repeatedly spoke over me until I had to ask her to stop and listen. This isn't about a scheduling error, those happen. It's about how it was handled. There was no accountability, no attempt to resolve the issue, and no basic level of professionalism. This would not have happened under Dr. Singer's ownership. The difference in how patients are treated is noticeable and extremely disappointing.

He examined a tooth that was previously diagnosed by another practice as an abscess in a tooth that was crowned and had a root canal in previously. He more than likely saved my tooth by detecting the source of my discomfort. It was an adjacent tooth, which had an Enamel-Dentine fracture in it. Dr. Osdinsky will follow-up with additional diagnostic tools to rule out missing anything on the likely previously misdiagnosed root canal tooth, which is the prudent thing to do, but has in the meantime treated the fractured tooth with Hydroxyapetite and Ozone treatment, to help with the tooth remineralization and fight back any potential anaerobic infection with minimal disturbance to the health of my oral biome. Knowing what I know now about oral health and its implications and impact on very serious general ailments elsewhere in the body, having a knowledgeable dentist who doesn't prescribe broad-spectrum antibiotics willy-nilly but instead treats things responsibly. Dr. Odinsky's bedside manners are excellent and he is very pleasant to interact with. The staff is equally friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.

Back in early 2024, I went in for a consultation, and the dentist recommended a crown for my implant. He took measurements, and we scheduled a follow-up appointment. However, the very next day, I changed my mind, called the office, cancelled the appointment, and specifically told them not to send anything to the lab. The staff confirmed the cancellation over the phone. Still unsure, I proactively contacted my insurance provider to explain what happened and asked them to cancel any pending authorizations for Gental Dental -- except for that single initial visit. Fast forward over a year later, and I receive a letter from a collections agency for $1,800+ claiming I owe Gental Dental for a crown that I never received. When I called the clinic to dispute it, they falsely claimed the crown was done and I never called to cancel, even though I never set foot in that office again after the first visit. They said they would "check with the doctor and call me back" -- of course, no one ever did. Today, when I followed up for the third time, the front desk staff was shockingly rude, dismissive, and condescending. They repeatedly spoke over me, refused to listen, and ultimately told me to "deal with the collections agency" . No apology, no accountability, and zero professionalism. Not only is the office outdated and the staff consistently rude, but what they're doing is flat-out dishonest. They tried to bill my insurance for a procedure that was never done, and when the claim was denied (as it should've been), they turned around and sent me to collections -- hoping I wouldn't fight it. It's appalling that a dental practice -- especially one run by a doctor who's supposedly close to retirement -- would stoop to this level of greed and deception. On 11/14/23 the receptionist left a voicemail to discuss payment prior to my visit. When I called back I was informed by the receptionist that because I was seeing Dr. Cho for a "syndrome", Dr. Cho told the receptionist I would be denied in network benefits and I would be required to pay $350 for an initial consultation. I confirmed with the receptionist that patients who did not see Dr. Cho for a "syndrome" would be entitled to in network benefits. I was told that Dr. Cho would keep my appointment for 11/28/23 if I paid $350 in cash instead of affording me the ability to use my in network benefits. I will be reporting Dr. Cho to my insurance company and to the Attorney General's office. It is stressful enough to have a rare condition and a "syndrome". Dr. Cho could have easily stated that he does not treat my condition of Ernest Syndrome. However, he chose to still see me and take advantage of a patient trying to get out of pain for $350.

The best part of this experience was after that, we again were trying to get my grandma to close her mouth so the stopper could stay in. The doctor proceeded to yell and was like "tell her to close her mouth" and I asked "I am, please be patient with her, she's an elderly." This really made him mad and he proceeds to yell at me and states that he doesn't have time to wait for her to close her mouth. He has a flight to catch in four hours and he says that I'm rude for asking him to be patient when he has been. Then continues to say that if it were someone else doing this surgery, they would tell the patient to leave. He continues to belittle me and says "you don't have as much experience as me with older people". Who says that to a patients family member? As a student studying to be in healthcare and a CNA at a hospital who works at a geriatric unit, I am appalled to see a grown man act like that towards a patient and a patients family member who was trying to help him by translating. This is not what a professional doctor acts like, but a child. He was rude, impatient, and had no respect for the fact that my grandma had no idea what's happening and I have to take the time to translate to her step by step the procedure.
