This place is a scam. Don't go here. My son and I got work done here done earlier this year. At the time they spoke to my insurance company and told me what the balance was. Which I paid in full at the time. Since then I've been getting a letter periodically saying that I owe them $1100 even after paying the full amount. After a few phone calls, I found out it was for my son's operation because the insurance was only paying for some of it. Which was weird because they had spoken to the insurance company in advance and told me what my portion would be. But I said it's fine and I agreed to pay and PAID. They told me at the time that I'm all set. But nope. I'm still getting letters from them saying I still need to pay. What is going on here???? I'm supposed to go back for implant but I'm going to go somewhere else now because of this ridiculous situation. Everyone stay away! read more

I recently had an extraction that could not have gone better. The office staff was efficient and knowledgeable. Wait time was minimal and procedures were carefully explained. Dr. Aurabach completed the extraction with ease and much quicker than I expected. Discomfort was minimal, follow-up care was given orally and written. I have only given two stars because of some absurd billing charges. My wife came in for a consultation with Dr Aurabach. A panoramic Xray was done, and she was seen for a few minutes by Dr. Aurabach. She was handed a bill for $575 and quoted close to $10,000 for a recommended procedure. We went to another oral surgery practice in Hackensack for a consultation. The head doctor spent close to fifteen minutes or more, no charge for the panoramic Xray and a procedure quote for $6700. The practice we went to was highly recommended by several dentists, has a number of dental surgeons and has a beautiful office covering a whole floor. We tried to get at least a partial refund for the $575 and to no avail. I suggest to anyone needing an oral surgeon get another opinion. read more

It's really a shame that the billing department is so disorganized and inefficient because our oral surgeon in Westwood, NJ was great. However, not worth dealing with this billing department that doesn't return phone calls and just sends you bills that are completely inaccurate. After numerous phone conversations and constant bills I could not take it anymore so I gathered all the information from my dental/medical carrier and had to one by one go through every statement with them. My insurance provider advised me not to pay them anymore because they were in network and they were paid. I submitted all explanation of benefits to them and had continued to have numerous, time consuming phone calls. I actually have a job and thought it was the job of the billing department to keep accurate records and work with the insurance department. After much inconvenience, effor, and grief, I thought it was all squared away. Recently, I received another bill from them almost 10-12 months later with interest charges. I called the billing dept the day the bill arrived and what a surprise, no call back. About two weeks later, I received another bill, not itemized, just the total amount so I know the interest charges are included because the last inaccurate bill had the interest listed. I have dealt with many billing departments. This is by far the worst. Find another oral surgeon/dentist. Your time and aggravation is not worth this. read more

STAY WELL AWAY!! After a pleasant experience having a tooth extraction operation, the entire team forgot to send off my pain killing prescriptions. After calling the office to check if I was supposed to have any pain medications to manage the unbearable pain, they told me NO, the next day and without sleep again I went to the surgery. Dr. Jared Rosenstock my surgeon asked me if the pain meds were working?? More than one week in agony and without sleep! I can't say enough good things about Dr Micheal Perrino and His treatment of me, including consulting with My cardiologist to make sure there weren't issues to be concerned about. He and His Nurse made me as comforable and painfree as a tooth extraction could be. Besides that, there was the personal phone call from Dr Perrino checking up on Me and then a very sweet postcard handwritten asking how I was doing. Dr. Justin Richer made several inappropriate advances and comments. It was calculated, predatory behavior. Highly doubtful that this was his first time grossly abusing his privileged position and access to patient information. He is clearly a person who does not feel that rules and boundaries apply to him. My attempts to report this misconduct have been repeatedly ignored and I do not know what else to do. I had my wisdom tooth pulled out plus I broke my front tooth and needed to be pulled out at the same time. Dr Auerback is an awesome oral surgeon in my opinion, he did the whole procedure in no time and I did not feel the pain at all. The staff is sooo good and knowledgeable about explaining the whole process from pain management up to the details about insurance and payments. I had a tooth extracted at Riverside Oral Surgery. It went well but there was absolutely no followup from the office. I was advised to come in the next week for an implant. This advice was countered by two other specialists. My husband had to wait 3.5 months to get a treatment plan from them. I went to them because they are in network with my insurance. Had a consultation in May 2021, they took my information including insurance, took one x-ray, a doctor spoke to me for 5 minutes and I never communicated with them again. Then, 8 months later I get invoice from them for $440.00 saying my 'insurance didn't cover anything'. First of all- what x-ray costs $440? Second- they either lost my insurance information or never called it in. I have called them a number of times trying to get to the bottom of it, each time leaving a voicemail or having one of their reps take my information down. Then, they report me to a debt collector. When I explained what happened to debt collection agency, they forwarded me the information from this practice where it showed that I have no insurance at all, which is a lie. Weeks of aggravation for 5 min of 'care'. These people should be embarrassed and I would highly recommend for anyone to stay away from them... read more

Hello to all the staff at Riverside Oral Surgery! I am Ethan, and I had just recently gotten all four of my wisdom teeth removed 14 days ago due to a really bad mouth infection that wouldn't go away because of my wisdom teeth. I will say, this has been an experience... but an excellent one to say the least. From the moment I walked in the door, to the time I left, I felt so comfortable the entire time. The place was extremely clean and fresh, and just a great experience. The staff was so friendly, and I really appreciate that, I get a little nervous before major procedures, but everyone was making me feel relaxed and chilled out. Dr. Auerbach & his dental assistants had performed my surgery, and even before the procedure began, they all made me very comfortable and I didn't feel that nervous at all after a bit of chatting with Dr Auerbach and the staff. I usually get scared of needles and stuff, but I still felt comfortable, and that says something! The surgery overall was quick and efficient, and Dr. Auerbach wasn't kidding when he said that it would take like 45 minutes to complete the surgery, it was really fast. I even remember saying, "Wow, really? We're done? Seriously, we're done?" (I was a little bit loopy, haha) But yeah, it was very quick and efficient! Here's the best part, it gets better. I was in little to no pain the day after surgery, which shocked me in a pleasant way. My infection seemed to get a lot better after the surgery. The day after surgery, I had lots of energy and could walk normally. I want to applaud everyone at Riverside Oral Surgery, from Dr. Auerbach to his dental assistants for a smooth procedure, aiding me in a smooth recovery, and putting me in a comfortable environment. I recommend anyone looking for oral surgery to come here. If you want the best dental surgery around here, you want to come here, and I truly mean that. The big, flat screen tv in the exam rooms display all x-rays...allowing you and him to review with full range. Love it! So tired of having to sqint at the computer screens in other offices. Amazing doctors. I had a severe infection and needed an extraction. The pain was unbearable. I had a terrible experience somewhere else where they did surgery to let the drainage out and actually ripped the drain out without telling me or numbing me. It was beyond painful. There was other things too but not worth going into. Because Then I went to dr Rosenstock. He did the extraction. Explained everything. Answered all my questions. He took excellent care of me. I wouldn't go anywhere else. He's amazing. His staff is equally wonderful. If you need an oral surgeon, go here. You will be in excellent hands believe me. read more

I had a terrible experience at the River Edge location last week. On the phone I was told my appointment was at 12:45 and that it was only a consult so I would be in and out in 10-15 minutes. A few days later I got a text with a 12:50 appt time-I figured it was no big deal bc only 5 minutes later. I got there today and waited in the waiting room for 25 minutes before being called upstairs. Once upstairs they told me I had to get x-rays done- after I confirmed with my dentist and Riverside's front desk staff when I made the appt that I wouldn't have to. After back and forth with the nurse and front desk staff and going up and down twice, I was told I could just go back upstairs and talk to the doctor. I went back upstairs and the doctor told me that I would have to wait again until he was done. I ended up just leaving and wasting an hour of the day. Don't bother coming here- terrible communication skills. I am frustrated because I don't have dental insurance and if another x-ray was needed, it would've been nice to have been notified before I got to the appointment since I was told that I would NOT have to get one. It seems like I was given the run around. It also didn't help that my appt was at 12:45 and they called me upstairs at 1:12pm. read more

Dr. Auerbach was referred to me by my regular dentist as he does oral surgery. I was in desperate need of a wisdom tooth extraction and my dentist could not do it because my wisdom tooth on the left side was to close to the nerve. I must say I do not like going to the dentist, much less, an oral surgeon but I must say, Dr. Auerbach left me impressed. He explained everything in detail, confident in his approach and literally had me out of his chair in 20 minutes (this includes the administering anesthesia and numbing teeth) this man works meticulously, detailed and had the tooth out in no time. Here's the best part, I didn't have any pain whatsoever, I woke up the next day and was able to eat on the right side with no pain on the left, I followed all the instructions provided in the paperwork given after leaving his office. Dr. Auerbach also called to follow up and that was greatly appreciated. The only issue I had with my visit (and Dr. Auerbach had nothing to do with this) involved the assistant not calling in my pain meds so unfortunately 30 mins after the numbness started to ware off I was able to feel the pain where the two teeth was extracted, I had to call his office three times, yes, three times (and talk while in pain) because they had some glitch in their system and the mediation wasn't transferring over to my pharmacy. Other than this, it was smooth (surgery). I still decided to give five stars because of the exceptional care received by Dr. Auerbach, his front desk staff is AWESOME by the way! read more

My son needed to have two wisdom teeth extracted and we were referred to this office. It was easy to schedule and appointment and I appreciated being able to fill out the application prior to the appointment and submitting it online. The receptionist was pleasant and very nice. Our temperature was taken and they ensured that only one patient at time was in the waiting area. We didn't wait long before we were taken to the back office to meet with the doctor. Dr. Rosenstock was amazing. He was very informative and walked us through how the surgery would go. The day of he reassured my son that he would be fine and made him very comfortable and me as well. His staff was also very nice and professional. They talked with my son, calming his anxiousness while he was being administered the anesthesia. My son also mentioned how cold he was and they told him it was because of his nervousness but after his surgery I came back to get him and they actually wrapped him in a blanket. I thought that was absolutely amazing. A few hours after our visit, Dr. Rosenstock contacted me to check up on my son and reiterated that any issues or concerns to not hesitate to contact him. Dr. Perrino did a phenomenal job extracting 20+ of my teeth. He was swift and attentive to even the slightest pain my challenging teeth felt and was right there ready with the needle to move things along. The tech assisting him was so very comforting with a hand on my shoulder as well. When I needed a pause to allow the odd sensation the numbing gel caused, they were patient and reassuring. I cannot stress how much of a coward I am when it comes to dentists, but they quieted those fears in swift order. I highly recommend this practice and Dr. Perrino in particular. read more

I was recommended to Dr. Justin Messina by my dentist Dr. Mike Moawad. Getting your wisdom teeth out is a very nerve wracking and uncomfortable situation, but Dr. Messina and the team at Riverside make you feel right at home. He even laughed at my jokes, including my "Grey's Anatomy doctor" one, and no one finds me funny. It was also nice to get a call from his cell phone less than 24 hours after leaving his office, checking up on me and answering my questions. I was referred to ROS for a wisdom tooth extraction. Dr. Rosenstock explained the situation clearly to me, put me out, then got right to it. He extracted an impacted wisdom tooth and the upper wisdom tooth quickly and skillfully. Obviously getting wisdom teeth surgery is extremely unpleasant but the pain was gone the next morning. I was totally healed a week later. I attribute this to Dr. Rosenstock's skill in doing an unpleasant dental procedure without any undue discomfort or complications. I've heard many horror stories from friends and family of nasty operations and ongoing pain for weeks. I'm glad I dodged that with ROS. I would highly recommend ROS if you're unfortunate enough to need a wisdom tooth pulled, you will be making the best of a bad situation. read more

I had oral surgery to remove a benign tumor in my upper left gum area. Dr. Auerbach stated that I would need 2 separate surgeries. I agreed and had both surgeries performed. Each one had painful recoveries. One year later, the tumor returned. However, I was lucky to have been referred to a different Oral Surgeon who performed the removal in one visit. The 2nd oral surgeon removed the tumor in one surgery. It's been a few years now and I have not had any reoccurrence. The 2nd oral surgeon said that there was no reason for the 2nd surgery performed by Dr. Auerbach and that it could have been removed in one visit. Without getting into detail, Dr. Auerbach did not perform the 2 surgeries correctly and that was why the tumor returned. In my opinion, Dr. Auerbach did not perform the surgery correctly and I personally felt that the reason for the 2nd surgery was to increase the bill. I would not recommend Dr. Auerbach. read more

I have had oral surgery twice at Riverside Oral Surgery (once in River Edge and once at their Westwood practice & both times w/ Dr. Cho) and each time was a success. I do not like dental procedures but everyone was so great (especially Dr. Cho), and that made the experiences much less difficult to go through.
