I found this place in 2017 when I needed a dress pressed last minute. My husband was just getting…read morepromoted and I was also moving up at work and we both needed dry cleaning regularly so we loved the convenience of the location and the fact that everything was so quick. A few years later, I had a suit that I purchased and I adored it but I was very much too short. That's when Rosa came into play for us. She had me put my pants on so that she could fit them to my body properly and I fussed about it because I didn't feel comfortable changing due to my being overweight at the time but Rosa reassured me that she would need me to do this in order to do it the right way. So I did as she asked and two days later I had an absolutely gorgeous pants suit that fit me perfectly! And for so cheap! In 2019, I brought Rosa my wedding gown. I had paid $2,000 for this dress on sale and I was not about to let anyone but Rosa touch it! It had to be taken in, shortened, I wanted to add lace and I felt like I needed some sort of straps because I am slightly more than heavy chested. Rosa and I met multiple times and discussed how I wanted it to look and what I needed to purchase and she made my vision come to life! She also takes care of all of my husband's alterations. He likes his suits a particular fit and no one has made a pair of slacks cut that way until recently. He also has a long torso and a short inseam so finding slacks is a challenge to begin with. She always gives him exactly what he's looking for. Most recently, I ordered a dress that I needed for a Christmas party months in advance so that I would not have to worry last minute. Well I ordered a size xl and by the time November was here, I was a size medium. I brought it to Rosa and she told me that because it was a wrap dress I did not necessarily need to take it in. But she had me try it on, took two inches off of the waist on each side and then it was perfect! We have been through multiple owners at the cleaners and yet Rosa is still working here. We will stay here as long as she is here. You can find a good dry cleaning company anywhere. A good seamstress is rare these days. Especially one like Rosa!

LOVE this laundromat. I live 15 minutes away with a laundromat literally down the street and I keep…read morecoming back to this one and have been for a couple of years. Their biggest machine (8 loads -$9.25) fill up FAST since there are only two of those. However, the next size washer (6 loads - $7.75) there are 7 of those. All other washers on premises range from 1 load & up. There is ALWAYS someone on site and you'll always catch them cleaning. Change machine, vending machines, and even a store is present where the attendant will break your larger bills or you can buy snacks and or laundry needs. My only gripe(s) isn't even with the laundromat itself, it's the area. As someone who's lived in the area I know what to expect but it constantly smells like weed outside and unfortunately it drifts into the laundromat especially when they leave the doors open sometimes. My second gripe is parking. The laundromat is situation in a small shopping center with Walgreens so you'll find parking but it might not be as close as you want.

He actually did this with a practically brand new pair of jeans just gesturing with his hands that no they woulnt do it.. When I asked to speak with a manger he just mumbled something about being in charge just waited for me to leave. I didn't do anything wrong, I smiled really sweetly and asked him how his day was, I was super polite both times. I just left.. feeling like I wasnt good enough or my clothes I brought in there were rags or filthy... I dunno... the way he didn't even want to bother with me, it was super hurtful and rude and he is not getting anymore chances! The way he shoved my items back at me in an aggressive manner really hurt my feelings. The second chance I gave was a bad mistake..

Sterling Cleaners has honestly been our family's go-to spot for when we need clothing dry cleaned…read moreor any alterations made. They are located in a little plaza on the corner of Sterling and Highland, just behind a Goodyear Auto Repair shop and next to the Regency 6 theater. It's not in the best neighborhood in SB, but then again what is? They are a small, family owned business that has literally been around for decades and their commitment to service easily shows why they've been around so long! We discovered them kind of by accident. After a local dry cleaner shop sold my wife's clothes because she was late in picking them up (!!!), she had been on the looking for a good shop in the area. The problem we were having at a couple of the local McCleaners shops is they could never give accurate quotes for how much their seamstresses would charge for basic clothing alterations and repairs...even though that person has been working with them for years!! You never knew how much it was going to be until your clothes were ready! This seemed sketchy to say the least. So a couple years ago when we were at the movie theater, wifey spied Sterling Cleaners and decided to give them a try with some items she needed cleaned and hemmed. So glad she did! The employees here are always super helpful and friendly, and the prices are more than fair. They also give accurate estimates on when the work is completed. And surprise!! They tell you how much most alterations and clothing repairs will be so you can make a decision ahead of time! Imagine that! We have been nothing but satisfied with Sterling Cleaners and highly recommend them if you life or work in the area. It's a great opportunity to support a great local business!
