I purchased a coin operated stacked laundry unit from the original owner more than ten years ago. They still service the unit and have kept it operational for my tenants. I've never had anything but great service and communication from them. If you're a landlord and are looking for a company to partner with I recommend them highly. Our family has worked with this company over the past decade when George was around and my mother has also worked with the son. However recently called and the wife was not very kind or helpful. Her tone was dismissive and matter of fact. We wanted a quote for lost keys and she wasn't willing to work with us although we have purchased even 3 machines since Covid with them. She basically said she had no record and get other quotes and get back to them. She quoted $135 service fee (it's down the street) $120x 4 per machine and $35 to drill out each lock x 4. It's sad because my mom really valued the business and at 72 was hoping they'd still be reliable. We didn't want anything free just a little something since 4 machines total. She said not willing to give any discount and okay with me taking business elsewhere. Luckily found the keys later on today so didn't have to deal with calling her back. Just be mindful of the wife who answers the phone now. Hopefully this review will inspire more kindness and customer service from her or the husband next time to engage with customers again. read more

Coin-Op Laundry Service - Proof of recent purchased machines supplied by Coin-Op. Wife said she had no record of company selling us machines. - Appliances & Repair Near Me - Van Nuys, California

So my husband has now received two private messages from the owner of this business basically going off on him about our reviews. He has claimed that he has lowered the price back down to the original prices that they were however, we just did laundry today and it hasn't gone back down and it is still expensive. He said he lowered the laundry back down to $1.50 but it is still $1.75 even though he has claimed about 3 times now to have adjusted the prices. Either way, these prices are ridiculous for washing machines that don't clean. I don't know if he thinks we are in another building, but if he has changed the prices, he did it in the wrong building...so that doesn't help us. I have his responses that I will forward to our property management to see if they can help adjust the prices as he states. read more

I've been working for a company for the past 5 years, who uses Coin-op to service our laundry machines. Hands down one of my favorite vendors to work with. They are always so polite, answering phone calls or returning calls right away. I've had issues with our machines in the past that weren't urgent but George would always find time to squeeze us in to be seen the following day. They're in and outta there like Batman and leave a little note to let us know our machine is back up and running. Thank you to George and your team, you guys are awesome!! read more

Coin-Op Laundry Service - Appliances & Repair Near Me - Van Nuys, California

I purchased a refurbished washing machine from George A. at Coin Op Laundry Service in January 2020. He wrote a warranty on the overpriced bill of $775, so far it has flooded twice and now in May the transmission has gone out a total of 4 months that I have owned this piece of junk. The arrogant Mr. George A. left a message on my phone that he would NEVER honor any warranty. This man scammed and cheated me; he knew that he sold me a faulty machine and would not take responsibility for his dishonest actions. There are many honest appliance companies and this is not one of them....stay away from this crook. read more

George is truly amazing! George was able to respond quickly to repair a jammed coin slot that operated a Maytag commercial washing machine. I was especially impressed by his confidence and ability to perform the repair after an unsuccessful attempt to fix the problem by another company. I plan to request his services again for all our washer/dryer issues. My experience was A+. read more

After not being able to get service for a jammed coin slot in my apartment building's laundry room for a washing machine from the dealer I purchased it from, I called Coin Op. They were extremely friendly on the phone, scheduling a service call promptly. Oscar arrived the next morning after calling first to tell me when he would arrive. He fixed the problem and got my machine back in service very quickly. I could not be more please. Thanks, Oscar. read more

George is great at responding to any repairs whenever any machine goes down in our building... He also reimburses you for any money lost which is surprising in these days of "oh well, that's not my problem!!" read more

We finally got tired of the "what do you want to hear" treatment from George. We called for service, yet again, on a Thursday morning to be told we'd receive a call later that day about scheduling another repair attempt. But after not receiving a call, we were told on Friday that Thursday is his day off. The transparency in the lie was bizarre. Then his tech told us the new part would be $150, but when he brought it (a used part retrieved from another machine) it was over $300. That's enough. We bought new machines from PWS, and should have ditched George a long time ago. read more

Our HOA purchased four new machines (2 washers/2 dryers purchased from another company) and we ran into problems immediately. We called George at Coin-Op to check out the new machines. George and two of his associates arrived at the appointed time. How novel - they kept their word and even called me en route to tell me they were close to our building. They checked things out and fixed a problem that no one else seemed to be able to handle. They were quick. Then we encountered another problem. Again George and his crew came out immediately a few days later and solved the problem which was actually a plumbing problem. As soon as they left, the machines have been working as designed. We will keep Coin-Op on our list for future laundry room problems. Very pleased. read more

I called Coin-Op Laundry to service my washer that had broken down. I spoke to George, who scheduled me for same day appointment. It took George less than 5 minutes to open up the machine, find the problem and suggest a solution. He was very quick and it was clear that he knew what he was doing. He suggested several solutions, of which I opted to replace the machine with a refurbished one that he provided. His price was reasonable and his timing was very efficient. George and his crewman were very professional, knew their trade very well, and seemed to care about customer satisfaction and repeat business. For that, I recommend them for anyone who is looking for servicing laundry operated machine. read more

After trying to handle my 4 plex laundry room situation myself, I got frustrated and checked on Yelp for help. Coin-Op had some of the best reviews so I called. George was helpful and positive and came out within a few days to get install a set of coin Washer Dryers I'd purchased. I was the president of an apartment owner association. Over the weekend, the apartment I manage have a coin drop on a commercial dryer that rejected the coins and rolled back out instead of dropping into the coin box thereby triggering the dryer to start operating. I called Coin-Op Laundry Service and was told that the next available appointment would be the following day. I was quoted the service charge plus cost of any replacement parts. An appointment was scheduled for the following day. Since I do not reside on premises, the owner of Coin-Op offered to call me when they are on their way to the apartment building. He kept his promise and did notify me when they were 20 minutes prior to their arrival so I did not have to wait. I thought his offer to call was very considerate and cooperative. They arrived on time. Since the problem was not complicated and needed no replacement parts, he charged me the basic service call fee and nothing else. He did not concoct a story to sell me parts that I did not need. He was knowledgeable and honest. I really appreciate service providers like him. I have no complaints and will do business with him again. He resolved the issue in a timely manner. read more
