It's a decent place. I'm not saying it's the best, but I don't mind doing my laundry here.read more

Most laundromat have a stigma that carries negative emotions or imaginary, such as, dark lights, broken machines, and that one group of people who seem to always be there, but never doing laundry. This is not at all the experience I had while visiting the Wash Daze Coin Laundry at 1868 Lafayette Rd, in Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. Upon arriving to the location, you notice that the building, which is attached to a neighboring Autozone, is well lit and has ample parking. Along with helping their patrons feel comfortable arriving and walking into the building, the building itself is under 24 hour surveillance plus regular patrolling of local policemen alwaying the customer to do their laundry in peace and safety. The Wash Daze offers video games, television, vending and table areas, and free wifi all to accommodate the busiest customer. The best feature which was offered to me came in the oversized "family washers" accommodating 30lb and 45lb loads. I was able to complete my massive, six hamper day, only using two washers. Having this available cuts the time almost in half compared to regular size washers. For the more regular customer, the Wash daze has plenty of regular size, state of the art washers and dryers totally eighteen washers and twenty dryers. Along with plenty of washer and dryers, the Wash Daze has multiple folding and hanging tables and load carts, which allow for easy transportation of your laundry. Owner's Jerry and Carolyn Cooper has strived to think of what they would want out of their neighborhood laundromat and that is what they offer to their customers. Along with the location at 1868 Lafayette Rd in Fort Oglethorpe, Ga (In Big Lots Plaza by AutoZone), they also have a location in Chickamauga, Ga at 2682 Johnson Rd (By Dollar General, near Melon Patch). If you have laundry needs, the Wash Daze Coin Laundry has solutions. Go on by and tell them you heard about them on Yelp. Thank you Wash Daze, Russell

    1) Inside it is maintained and clean. No machines were broken and all worked. Our washer and dryer…read morebroke down so we had to go to a laundromat to do our clothes. 2) I spent about 45$ on washing and drying clothes that day! I had 3 basket of clothes! Jeez, it was so pricey. I don't know what I did wrong but everything came out too expensive but we had an emergency so the laundromat was our best option. 3) It's cashless, you have to buy their wash cards! BE AWARE! You have to transfer money to the card on a kiosk. Had a difficult time using the kiosk and I did ask for help. 3) One thing is they do have BIG washers and dryers. I would MAYBE be back to wash my big sheets and blankets only so my washer and dryer don't break down. 4) Other than that, I understand some families and individuals can't afford a washer/dryer or don't have the space, so this place is convenient. It even has a seating area, a space where your kids can be at, and tables where you can fold your clothes on. 5) The staff were helpful however, I know they were judging me because they kept staring and doing the side eye. I would turn my head quick to look back and they would look away so quick. I didn't like that. It had been a long time since I've been to a laundromat, please give me patience ;-(. 6) I didn't like how the "owner" that also helped me and said "You're new here, I can tell. Just to let you know I'm owner here. Isn't my place nice? I worked hard to get my place and I make lots of money from it." and kept on bragging. (Not sure if it was hers at this point). Happy for your accomplishment if it is, but that was obnoxious if that's how you approach to your customers. In conclusion, the laundromat is kept up well and does have its pros and cons while I was here. Will I go back? Ehhhh, maybe but if I need to. I would probably end up going to my mom's or in laws to wash clothes next time if it happens. The reason I didn't do that in the first place because it is a big fat drive away. 3/5

The floors in this establishment were not only disgusting and sticky, but there was food wrappers and empty bottles everywhere. I know places like this don't have attendants hourly, but it didn't look like a mop had hit the floors in weeks. I can understand dryer sheets falling on the floor, but this was filth. I would definitely make the drive to a different facility next time I need this service.

So when I say this was THE most disgusting laundry facility I've ever seen, that should bear some weight - AND I've lived in New Jersey! But I'll stick to the Oreo format of criticism: compliment, criticism, compliment. Compliment: The machines we used worked and were rapidly done with our loads. Criticism: The owner of this facility clearly thinks his customers are unworthy of consideration or cleanliness. There were food crumbs, used dryer sheets, and a discarded bent hanger within my view near the front of the sitting area. The ceiling tiles were awash in leak stains and the machines were in need of a wipe down. Most of the chairs were in such poor shape that we counted ourselves lucky to find a couple of decent ones to sit in. Thank goodness we were able to leave before we needed to explore the bathroom. Compliment: The overhead fans all worked.
