My local Pawn Guy told me Coin Gallery is THE place for fair dealing. Ending 2025 and starting 2026, the Global Silver Mania of '26 bubbled until silver crashed 30+ percent in days. In the early part of the run up, silver hit my personal strike point. I brought in my hard assets. Coin Gallery was a madhouse. Sellers, buyers, employees saying silver dollars were selling for Spot prices. Spot Price climbing as I waited my turn. Pros amazed. Prices blowing past projected 2026 pricing. I got my strike price plus $2. Paid at spot price, no discount right then. Other places, 15% discount. Coins and various silver products here too. read more

Coin Gallery - Coins by denomination, year and mint. - Hobby Shops Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

I emailed the Tim from their website to ask about specific coins and he responded promptly with information on the different items I had. When I was in the shop it was busy but very efficient in getting through the line of folks there buying and selling. The cases had a wide range of coins with a selection at a variety of prices. I noticed a lot of folks selling old silver since the price is up. Jason and Tim were really kind and fair in their evaluation of the coins and my situation. It felt safe and honest unlike the previous places I visited and abandoned plan. read more

Great Thanks Tim Very good store Easy to deal with and has a great inventory Very knowledgeable on coins and collectibles. Thanks again you guys Bob. read more

I've sold precious metals here for many many years, and always have a great experience. They know their stuff and make deals quick, but they offer fair prices to buy your gold and silver and it doesn't feel shady or slimy at all. They also buy and sell coins. Not located in the best area, but the employees are kind and fair, and I trust them. read more

they are just idiots and dumb asses with some stupid cop in there from phoenix playing around with people tax money. playing golf on their grounds instead of paying attention to the customers, so yes Mr. owner your a dumb ass with no business experience. read more

I had an experience back in 2023 when I took a coin there that was graded the asshole proceeded to look at the coin and then proceeded to physically throw the coin back at me when I told him I was new to the world of coins and didn't know much these people are very unprofessional and are assholes I haven't been back there in over 2 and a half years because of the bad customer service and unprofessionalism and rudeness of these people go into a business where you don't have to deal with beginners which is what I was back then u disrespectful rude assholes I've had people ask me since then if I recommend the coin gallery for selling coins and I I say hell no and I tell them why too because they will low ball you as well people are better off selling rare and valuable coins at heritage auctions because ull get way more more than these cheap stingy assholes will give you and when I say more I mean up to 100 percent more read more

I've been there a few times and never been let down. Calvin ( on my receipt) was very courteous. The prices were good and he explained a few things to guide me along. I'll keep going there. read more

I live in the Seattle area, but I come down to Phoenix every year to watch spring training baseball games. Over the years, I've been to most of the coin stores in the area, but these guys are my favorite. I always make a point of swinging by. I find these guys very professional, and they have a great selection of graded and raw coins, as well as gold and silver. I'm looking forward to my visit this month! read more

Very rude and unprofessional I went in and asked about a coin that I found. The guy with all the tattoos said I'll give you two cents for it I can sell 100 of these with an attitude like i was dumb for asking a question, like he was better than me or something. read more

To be honest, I am new going there. I had a good experience twice when I went in there. They had very fair prices.. I don't have to say anything bad about the people or the business. Great place to work with. Straight forward, bottom line, no gimmicks, no pressure. Very professional, and I like working with local businesses. They spent a lot of time with me, and they closed the store, but kept answering my questions and didn't kick me out. I made a decision, and someone else wrote me up. I bought some gold at a perfect time. Today I'm going in with a wheelbarrow to get some silver. Lol read more

Stopped by to cash out on a few gold coins. I was greeted promptly. Calvin took care of me. To my surprise, they paid me almost 30% more than a pawn shop in central Phoenix offered me. I am NOT EXAGGERATING. Needless to say, I highly recommend this store to anyone looking to sell or buy gold or silver. They deserve all the business they are getting because, in my humble opinion, they are the best in the market. Worth the drive. It was my first visit there, it will not be my last. read more

Sold some random coins/silver. Tim gave me very fair prices on everything. Always a great experience coming here. Will definitely be back.

They have some cool looking coins, but I was here for an appraisal of my Dansco Nickel album. I had a near complete set 1938-2005 with proofs, all gem BU and many many toners and some full steps. After flipping through the pages and not even really looking at it they quickly offered $100, I decided not to tell them how dumb they were and politely declined. A few weeks later I sold it for $450 on OfferUp, and even that was a low price. They go for $600-700 online easy. These guys will try and rip you off, be careful selling to then either they dont know prices or are looking to make a buck at your expense. read more

I have been coming to this place for years and they are by far the most honest and fair places when dealing with coins, gold or silver.

They will easily by your silver at going price but once you go in and buy 10 ounces of silver they will charge you a premium of 10 % on the total.... Rip off ..... They are also very choosy on what company and which type of silver that's traded in not cool.... don't waste your money and time here .... RUN !!! read more

He said his name was Maui, the receipt said Calvin. Complete jerk, he was condescending, insulting and rude. He gave some major discounts to the customer before me who spent $199 on silver, then when I was trying to get a price match of $5 off on three gold coins worth almost $6,000, he refused to price match the world's largest gold retailer, which would have only been $5 off each coin for a grand total of $15 off almost $6,000! Instead he proceeded to insult me telling me this isn't "Walmart", he then tried to in fact charge me over a dollar extra per coin, and when I confronted him because on his website the coins were $1,918.30 each, he responded by saying that he was "rounding up", but if I wanted him to he would round down, and then never did. I was about to tell him off and walk out but because I had driven over 30 minutes to get there, and because I didn't want to miss out on the price dip on gold this week, I went ahead and purchased the coins anyway spending almost $6,000. I have been a customer for over 11 years, I will never go back again. Oh I forgot to mention while I was in the parking lot the prices on his website were actually at $1,916.20, they literally went up $2 while I was in there so all I was asking for was that he matched one of the world's online largest gold retailer SD Bullion who was selling them at $1,913.00. Because "Calvin" is listed on Coin galleries' website as one of two contacts, I assume that he is a new partner in this business and or is the manager, therefore he will never get a single penny from me again because this is not a matter of some Rogue employee. He lied about his name, he tried to rip me off charging me more than what their own website stated, was rude condescending and gave discounts to others in front of me, and when confronted lied again. People like this do not deserve to be in business. read more

This coin store is quite possibly the best I've ever been to in my life. I've been collecting coins since I was 10 years old, and the Coin Gallery has an incredible selection of almost every coin that you can imagine. Coin Gallery - 1945-P Silver Wartime Nickel. - Hobby Shops Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

My first time in here. Jess was our sales associate. I let him know that it has been awhile since I purchased coins and had some questions. He said of course. I asked a few questions. In the middle of 3 different conversations, we were interrupted by another customer, that seemed to be well known by Jess. Instead of continuing to assist me, he turned away, stopped speaking to me and proceeded to answer the questions of the other well know customer. Not once but 3 different times in about 15 minutes time! At that point I was done being ignored and literally disrespected by this man Jess! I am in customer service and this was appalling to me! I told Jess I changed my mind about a purchase and I walked out! I went to another coin shop and spent almost $1,000. I will continue to get my coin investments at the coin Galleries competitors! Think twice before giving your business to this establishment! read more

Buyer beware! Unfortunately, I will never do business with them again after a bad transaction they were unwilling to rectify. I lost $$$ because of their negligence. I had bought and sold to them for the past few years, but now will seek to find a more reputable place. read more

Regret not being assertive when I allowed this salesman (no name identified, no name tag) to tear up my jewelry popping the stones out in front of me saying they are CZ anyways. My engagement ring was in amazing condition when it came through those doors.Prior to that he had taken my jewelry into a back room for a lengthy time (at least 20 mins.) My engagement ring had inset diamonds in band and I know it was expensive when purchased in 2002,. Other items:My Mother's Day ring had 2 Sapphire stones, a pendant with garnet, and another with Sapphires. My heart sank as he carelessly destroyed my jewelry that I am only selling because I lost my job and am in need of cash. My gut is uneasy on how this situation was handled. The price for actual weight of gold is what I was paid for that is their justification for taking stones out. I wasn't offered the stones either but I have a gut wrenching feeling that the stones were replaced while he was in the back room for so long. Hind sight , Every other place does their inspections right in front of you and in less time. I am not happy about how this was handled. I would like to know what happens in that back room that can't be done out in front of the customer since there is plenty of unused counter space. Feeling duped ! read more

Went to the Coin Gallery to sell some coins that had become excess to my collection. I upgraded my collection by purchasing several coins that would replace the ones I wanted to sell. I did my homework by consulting the Coin Dealer Newsletter (known in the hobby as "CDN" or the "Grey Sheet"). It is The Bible of the coin collecting world. According to the latest edition of the "Grey Sheet," interest in Morgan Silver Dollars (my type of coins) and the prices paid for them was the highest it's been in recent years. According to the CDN, action for Morgans at recent auctions and coin shows in Baltimore, Las Vegas and Long Beach was brisk and represented a renaissance in prices. Like I said, I did my homework. Took a look around the Coin Gallery while I waited for assistance. In display cases, along with a couple of 100 oz silver bars, a number of coins were "slabbed" as in graded by a professional grading service. The coins I saw were graded between AU-58 and MS-63. I also noticed these prices were pretty stiff. I presented my coins and asked if these coins would be candidates for upgrades. After examination, I was told my coins were nice (they were already graded by PCGS as ("Mint State") MS-64 and MS-65 (investment grade coins)). But, they were unlikely to be upgraded. Knowing these coins would be some of the nicest in his shop, I asked if he was interested in purchasing my coins. The counterman stepped away and went into an office. Knowing my individual coins were worth between $92 and $345 EACH (according to the "Grey Sheet"), I expected a substantial offer. Needless to say, I was shocked, almost speechless, when he offered me $110 for a coin the "Grey Sheet" says is worth $345. I tried to engage him, to negotiate. The counterman's excuse for such a low offer and his unwillingness to negotiate? "Morgans aren't selling." Tell that to the publisher at The Coin Dealer Newsletter and the coin show vendors at Baltimore, Las Vegas and Long Beach. I've bought, sold and traded coins and bullion for years. I've had dealers offer me fair prices and not-so fair prices. I've had dealers tell me they weren't interested in my coins. It's all part of the coin world. However, I've NEVER received such a low-ball offer for my goods as I received from The Coin Gallery. Not EVER. Period. Needless to say, I took my coins to another Phoenix coin shop where I received a much fairer price (over $300) for this coin, in addition to the other coins I had with me. In sum, a very bad experience. I won't be returning to the Coin Gallery -- unless I'm willing to buy at prices ABOVE retail and sell coins at prices low enough to almost qualify as giving them away. read more

We had never been to a coin place before and had some hesitation, but after reading positive reviews on The Coin Gallery then seeing their BBB rating and the fact that they've been in business for such a long time, we decided to check them out regarding coins that my husband had collected off and on over the years. Tim was the consultant we worked with. He was courteous and professional and really knew his stuff, plus he had a great personality and engaged us in conversation which made us feel totally at ease and comfortable. He explained a lot of things about coins and their history and when we walked out with a check for over $1200 we were very happy. That check sure beats those coins sitting in a drawer. We will definitely go back again and certainly refer friends to them and recommend that they ask for Tim, really a super guy. Bill T. Phoenix read more

We arrived in Arizona with the hopes of making it our home. March of 2013 As Software Contractors we have down times and rely on Gold and Silver to keep us afloat until the next contract. After a Google Search we found Coin Gallery. I could not believe the excellent service and was stunned at the price paid for Silver Liberties and Gold Jewelry. We visited several times and each time got better. We have bought and sold silver and gold for many years across the USA and the Coin Gallery was the best place ever.
