Such a plain name for such an interesting store! They need an exciting name such as retro toys, hobbies, games, music and much much more! - Old postcards -Old magazines from the 1930s - 1980s Such as; Look magazine, National Geographic, Time, TV guides etc. -Old Cassettes and Records -Old mugs with funny sayings -Old star wars toys, smurfs, and garfield etc. -old hot wheels and tons of other car books, magazines, and models. -old military collectables -some vintage clothing -old video game stuff - old movie posters. ....and much much more at sensible prices. This place is almost like a thrift store. There are some stacks of stuff you have to dig through, then there are parts of the store that are semi organized by theme. They don't focus on clothing and furniture. If it is old and weird, you may just find it here.

Awesome window display filled with vintage Fisher Price!

Omg. Best store EVER! Went to visit the municipal elevator & happened to notice the window display of vintage Fisher Price toys. I just about fell over. After a long half hour wait for them to open at 10, I eagerly rushed in. All the fantastic vintage goodies- Star Wars, Smurfs, board games- what an absolute fantastic collection.... Plus the owner was super nice.... It's always a bonus to spend money at a place where people are friendly and kind. Thank you so much!

If you're looking for a treasure from your past, I encourage you to check this place out! Toys, comics, coins, slot cars, Hotwheels, trains and military memorabilia can be found from wall to wall. Just be sure to go in with spare time on your hands as you'll quickly lose track of reality.

I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this store!! My kids and i absolutely love going to coin corner and looking over all the awesome vintage toy cars! Every time we visit it's the same great amazing/knowledgeable family that I've been buying from for years even back in the 80's when they sold R/C cars If you haven't been this is the GO TO place for all your vintage needs AAA+++++

Much more of a vintage toy store than a coin shop. Had some interesting things but not that helpful for a coin collector.

Diamonds in the Rough - Black Friday sale

If I could leave zero stars, I would…read more I really wanted to like Diamonds in the Rough. My first couple of purchases in August were rocky--127 cards on August 16th and another 19 on August 18th. The orders were bundled (a nice gesture), but the package was never shipped. The tracking number belonged to a completely different customer 1,400 miles away. After a month of emails, delays, and searching for cards that apparently "could not be located," I eventually received about 95 of the 146 cards I purchased and was refunded for the rest. Frustrating, but Shonn made an effort to fix it. Because he tried to make it right, I gave him another chance. I made two more orders in September--no issues. Cards arrived (still slower than any other dealer I buy from), but they arrived. Then came October and November... and everything fell apart again. 47 cards ordered 10/16 32 cards ordered 10/29 31 cards ordered 11/7 A shipping label was created on 10/31 and again on 11/14, supposedly combining all three orders. As of December 8th, USPS is still waiting for the package. Nothing has ever been dropped off. I've sent more than half a dozen emails--ignored. I called. I got excuses again: "I'm busy," "My employee is out," "I'm working on it." Meanwhile, we are approaching 60 days since the earliest order and I still do not have what I paid for. Here's the biggest issue: I don't want a refund. I want the cards I purchased. At some point this stops being "busy" or "backlogged" and becomes unacceptable business practice. I truly do not understand how this shop has a 4.8 rating on 165 reviews, because my experience--twice now--has been the opposite. I will never purchase from Diamonds in the Rough again. And if you choose to, at least go in with your eyes open--because this level of unresponsiveness and delay is not something collectors should have to deal with.

Anyone looking for fair pricing on Magic singles and sealed product should check this place out…read more It's basically a small warehouse with a very small store front. No table space, this is strictly a retail store. That being said, Shawn (owner) has always been friendly and their selection of singles is one of the better options within the greater Portland area, especially on the west side.

I happen to be on crutches, and she was very kind by offering me a chair to sit in while I waited for them to cut my piece and she was also very knowledgeable on the adhesive and silicone to attach the lens to the beauty ring after they had cut my peace, which was only about five minutes of waiting. She only charged me for the labor because they had the plastic laying around as scrap. I would recommend Tap Plastics to anyone with any type of need for acrylic or plastic or plexiglass they have a huge selection and everything you need to work with it Willow. I called up Tap, told them what I was looking for, and they were able to recommend the perfect solution. Jack, the manager, is great - super helpful and friendly. This is a business that proves plastic is fantastic.

Waited a few days and finally got an offer on my cards. Offer was ridiculously low. I said no thanks, I'll come get my cards. As soon as I said I wasn't interested Steve was rude over the phone. Tried arguing with me about the value of the cards, their condition, etc. I told him I wasn't interested in arguing and would simply come get my cards. Went in an hour later and Lo and behold, some were missing. I mentioned this to Steve. I noticed his hands were obviously shaking. As soon as I said something about the missing cards he got extremely defensive. He acted like I had accused him directly (which I did not, I understand mistakes sometimes happen). He then tried to escalate the situation, raising his voice in the crowded store and yelling at me in front of dozens of people. It was Friday night, they were hosting a game night. Steve continued to yell at me, even as I walked out. Unprofessionalism, cards disappearing, and insultingly low offers seem to be par for the course, judging by the reviews. I'll be going to Guardian Games from now on.
