So, I went to this office for an annual check up and for a follow up service about a week and a half after. Both times I was pleasantly surprised by the efficiency of the appointment and the professionalism of the staff. My first appointment was with Miwako, the Certified Nurse and Mid-wife. She was very patient in explaining everything and was very knowledgeable about all the relevant concerns that I had. The initial appointment lasted about 30-35 minutes. I left feeling confident and I received a follow up date within the following week. Upon booking my follow up appointment I was advised about the amount that would be due for the copayment when I returned. That was a major plus for me! I like being prepared. When I returned for my follow up visit I waited about 10-15 minutes prior to being seen. There were a few appointments ahead of me, but everyone seemed to be sent to their appropriate practitioners and it seemed like a well oiled machine. The only downside to the experience was being recommended for a procedure/ exam that I opted not to have. Other than that, I would recommend Miwako for the exam and the ultrasound services. The staff are caring and very good at being relatable to the people they serve and making the services accessible. Way to go!

When I asked how long they have known this, they put me on hold for 15 minutes. The person who came back on the line reformed this. I interrupted as this wasn't the question I asked. They knew for SEVEN months they were no longer in network. They knew ALL three times they rescheduled the appointment, they were no longer in network. The woman then said this was an oversight. This isn't an oversight, this is sloppy and unprofessional. This is wasting the time of a patient who was waiting for a consultation for a life altering surgery and having to start back from square one. This was a patient moving the appointment to accommodate the providers multiple times within a month. This is unacceptable, and I wonder just how many other patients received the same run around?

I used them for my OB when my daughter was born a few years ago. They were nothing but great during my pregnancy and delivery. Dr. Elligers is one of the best doctors I have ever had and I am so glad he delivered my daughter. Drs Masucco, Ness, Ellis, Fishman and Borque are also top-notch. I recommend any one of them. What my problem is? The horrific wait time. Not just ten or 15 minutes. We are talking HOUR wait times. I specifically remember in my pregnancy, waiting more in the waiting area than any other room in the office. Today is a wonderful example: I was told 915 on the phone (for a 930 appointment) and like a responsible adult, I showed up at 905. I was called into the exam room at 950 (20 minutes past my appointment time) and it is now 1015 and I am still waiting to see the Dr. Yes, they are in the midst of getting a new computer system. Yes, the staff has been apologetic. But please don't tell me to show up for an appointment at 915 when I am not even seen close to an hour later. Please be courteous enough to mention when I make an appointment that you are having your systems reworked (if you have reps in the office, you've known about this for awhile now) and wait times may exceed what is considered "running late" at a dr's office. Even more so, just schedule half of the appointments you usually schedule so you give yourself some leeway. I feel bad that the staff and drs have to deal with this kind of stuff that is out of their control. I am not thrilled in the least with this office (in regards to wait times). Being a woman and keeping up to date on things is bad enough. Let's not prolong the experience. I mean honestly, I'm able to write this entire review in my gown waiting for the Dr. But, seeing a Dr. Here is WELL worth it. And, my only reason for not finding another practice. I do love them all. Just maybe not the waiting...

There are some very real problems with this practice, particularly when it comes to scheduling,…read morecommunication, and respect for patients' time. I made an appointment with Dr. Shipman in late April for a consultation regarding a surgical procedure. The earliest appointment I could get was September 15 -- nearly five months later. I arranged PTO from work to accommodate the appointment, so I was understandably upset when the office cancelled it on September 14, the day before I was scheduled to be seen. I understand that unexpected things happen and appointments sometimes need to be cancelled. However, because of the extremely short notice, I lost the PTO I had taken. I do not have unlimited PTO, and I certainly would have preferred to spend that time with my family rather than lose it because an appointment I had waited months for was cancelled at the last minute. When I contacted the office to reschedule, I was initially told they could not get me in for ANOTHER three months. That would have meant waiting approximately eight months in total for a consultation. The office cancelled my appointment -- I did not -- and I did not think it was reasonable that my medical care should be delayed another three months as a result. After considerable back and forth, they eventually scheduled me for October 16, approximately one month later. You can imagine my surprise when that appointment was cancelled as well! Once again, I contacted the office and was told it would be several more months before they could accommodate me. At this point, they had cancelled TWO appointments that I had scheduled months in advance, yet I was apparently expected to simply go to the back of the line each time. I asked to speak with the office manager, hoping she could help resolve the situation. Instead, she told me, "Perhaps you should find another practice that will be more accommodating to your needs." What????? I found that response simply astonishing. Their solution to THEIR repeatedly cancelling my appointments was for ME to find another practice, start the process over, and wait another six months to see a different provider because of THEIR lack of organization? I don't think so. If they know that they cancel appointments frequently at the last minute (and they do seem to know this!) then the dr should have time built into their schedule to promptly reaccommodate/reschedule those patients. It is unacceptable that I or any patient should go back to the end of the line for their cancellation. I asked to speak with someone above the office manager and was given a general number that I assume was for their corporate office. I called and left a message, and someone named Noelle returned my call. I explained the entire situation. She told me she did not have control over the office's scheduling, which left me wondering why the office had directed me to her in the first place. She did tell me that someone in management would contact me. And that was two weeks ago. Of course, no one has contacted me. I have since left two additional follow-up messages, neither of which has been returned. So, to recap: I waited nearly five months for my original appointment. The practice cancelled it the day before, causing me to lose PTO. They then cancelled my rescheduled appointment as well. When I asked the office manager for help, her suggestion was that I find another practice. I escalated the issue to management, was told someone would contact me, and two weeks and two additional messages later, I still have heard nothing. My advice to anyone considering this practice is to think very carefully before relying on this office for your medical care. My experience has been that they have repeatedly delayed my care while showing very little regard for my time or for the consequences their repeated cancellations have had on me as a patient.

They actually seperated from this Dr but failed to state in the letter that the original owner of that practice was still going to be in that location. Keep in mind that they only joined their practices for a period of 8 months or less I believe, but I have been a patient with the original Dr for several years. The awful part was that in the letter, they made it sound like this office would no longer be in existence. Then they stole all of the original Dr's patient records when they split and made her patient's go through the extra step of signing their paperwork to get ownership of their records back. The only experience I had with these people was with Dr Taylor when I was seen at her office for an ultrasound only. Afterwards, they sat me in a room and Dr. Taylor told me I had a sub-chorionic bleed. I asked her what that meant and if I needed to go on bedrest, she flat out told me she wasn't my Dr so she couldn't tell me anything! Seriously??? So back then she could admit she wasn't my physician, but now she wants to own my medical records, really?? They must be very desperate for patients. Very shady practice!
