My wife took the shirt in to Bou Cleaners on S Oakland St in Gastonia NC on Wednesday 05/16/18 at around 2:00 pm. My wife handed the shirt to the young girl at the cash register and told her what we had wanted done to the shirt. In our minds a very SIMPLE task-shorten the length a couple of inches and be done with it. The girl at the register calls over a heavy set lady (possibly in her 40's) and say's she is the one who does the altering of garments. Both of the women began to act like they are looking through some catalog before they can give my wife a price for this simple alteration. After a couple of minutes they walk over and tell my wife it will be $25.00 to remove the few inches of material from my 6 year old's shirt. The shirt didn't even cost that much. My wife politely tells them "No Thanks" and leaves. She drives 10 minutes down the road to the local mall and goes to the alterations place inside. The lady takes no time telling her it will be $8.00, no more. What a rip off BOU CLEANERS is. I HIGHLY recommend staying away from this place unless you want to me made feel like you are stupid...

I have used this cleaning facility for years. I have brought my spring comforters in every winter…read moreand winters ones every spring. I pick them up and put away for the season. I recently took out one of the winter comforters, which was still in the zip up plastic bag with the tags still on it. Once opened noticed it was full of mold! Checked all the others they were fine. Figured no big deal, it was obviously put in the bag damp and they would correct it, well I WAS-WRONG!!! They charged me to re-clean it stating since it had been more than 30 days nothing they could do!!! Was told to call BILLY which I did and was told he would call me back obviously this did not happen. So much for showing that you appreciate your loyal customers. I had Heard complaints from other people but had never had any problems previously I guess I should've heed their warning. No longer one of their customers they obviously don't care but if you're looking for a great dry cleaner go to Belmont stay away from Bou Cleaners!!!
