The Cat's Pajamas Inn - Tank

The Cat's Pajamas Inn

I've boarded my cat with Cat's Pajamas Inn on two occasions, and Patty is outstanding! Both times…read morePatty took great care of my cat and sent me regular updates. Each cat gets their own condo in a large room attached to Patty's home, and Patty takes each cat out (one at a time) to play with them. I'll definitely be brining my cat back here in the future.

I went to visit this place to meet the owner and see what it was like with the intent of…read morepotentially having my 6 mo. old stay there for a couple of days. It was clean. Patty, the owner seemed lovely. I wasn't thrilled about the size of the crates 6x4, but figured we could do a trial run for 1 night before his actual stay. We agreed on a day and time for me to bring my cat and the day before she asked if I could come at 9:00am instead of 9:30am because she was heading out for 2 hours at 9:15!! WHAT?? She thought nothing of having me bring my cat who had never been there before, shove him in a crate and the leave right after he gets there for 2 hours? The whole point of me bringing him was for her to meet him, see how he does. When I asked if it might be better to bring him later that day when she would be around, she said no I'm having company!! Again WHAT?? How much attention and time was she planning on spending with my cat who would probably have been frightened as can be. I would NEVER bring my cat there and I'm so happy that I learned what she's truly all about beforehand. Looks can be deceiving!!

We've had the absolute best experience with Dave and his wonderful team. From the very beginning,…read moreDave patiently walked us through his process, clearly managed expectations, and created a safe, nurturing environment for our Jingles. During the three weeks we were apart, he shared daily updates--complete with training videos and photos--which made us feel truly connected to Jingles' progress and growth every step of the way. Dave thoughtfully tailors each session to your dog's needs and leaves no question unanswered, putting you completely at ease knowing your puppy is in the most capable hands. Jingles now has a true home away from home, and we feel grateful to have found trusted partners in her upbringing. After all, it really does take a village!

We recently adopted a new puppy (Nala) to keep our 3 year old Golden doodle (Augie) company…read more Although the two dogs are siblings from different litters, they didn't immediately take to being together. Unlike Augie, who was always sweet and extremely mellow even as a puppy, Nala bit us in the face, barked, destroyed things in our home and terrorized Augie to the extent that he would run away from her. We weren't sure we could keep her because she was so badly behaved and seemed untrainable. In the span of 3 weeks, David transformed Nala from a challenging puppy into a dream puppy. She obeys all the commands, walks off leash in our wooded neighborhood, sleeps hours later than when she left and most importantly she is able to play well with Augie who now seeks her out and willingly allows her even to sleep in his own bed. David sent dozens of videos so we could watch her while she was in training and learn the language she was learning from David. He kept in contact and was even able to drop her off and meet our other dog for a walk with Nala. Without Massachusetts Dog Training, we would likely have given our wonderful puppy away and never realized what a gem we had. David helped to uncover Nala's true potential and helped us to realize how smart, sweet and special she is. We will be forever grateful for his wisdom, expertise and love for our Nala.

It's even more than I expected it to be Stephanie and Mark have done a wonderful job at both locations. Their staff is incredible. They all have the patience of saints. One of my dogs is aggressive and Stephanie and Mark knew exactly how to handle the situation when it came to grooming him. We had gone through several groomers and trainers over the years and we've been fortunate and have to found Recurve K9. I highly recommend the Norwell and the Scituate location.

Do not take your dog here for training! The owner takes your money and runs. She does not stand by…read moreher training and is unavailable when you reach out to her with questions once she has decided the training is complete. There is a new excuse every time she is unavailable, failed business, sick, family emergency. If you try to work with her in a polite manner to come to a resolution and let her know that the training did not work, she shuts you down and then blames you for the failed training. She charges large sums of money and then leaves your dog in a crate almost the entire day and then won't finish the training or work with you if you challenge the validity of the training. And these interactions were handled professionally without any animosity, and she still won't work through the situation. She just stops responding even though the training is not complete. She is NOT a reputable business owner!! I would make the same comments for boarding. The dogs are left in crates all day when the business is closed with very little interaction. Find a better trainer and make sure your get what you paid for. This is not the place to go! Totally unprofessional "business".
