While other reviews are correct, they do require a $200 deposit for your appointment, that $200 is used towards co-pays and any fees. In my case, I was tired of going through the gamut with poor quality providers and wanted someone that was thorough, so I was willing to pay up front based on the referral I received. Once again, I'm so thankful I did - Angela has changed my life drastically, for the better. From day one, Angela listened to my concerns and the struggles I was having, while validating what I was feeling and explaining why I was feeling that way. She is passionate about the work that she's doing and it shows in her commitment to her patients and their overall wellbeing. She takes time to attend conferences and reads in her time outside of work, to continue to improve her knowledge in the area that she is providing service for. Through her recommendations of several books and online resources, I have been able to educate myself on what I (and others) experience so frequently. Angela took the time to listen to my concerns in regards to medication - something that any mental health patient values - and she didn't disregard what I said. She requested lab work to ensure she was making the right medical decision to proceed and validated that the symptoms I was experiencing weren't coming from another source. We found nothing wrong with the current plan, which another provider wanted to abruptly stop, and I was able to continue my treatment. This allowed me to work with Angela over six months, to build a solid treatment plan, that addressed ALL of the issues I was experiencing. I don't see Angela as frequently as I did while we were building my treatment plan, but every visit is the same experience: Angela is a thoughtful provider that is exceptional in her field. She has expertise that cannot be overlooked. I would HIGHLY recommend Angela, and I do, to anyone looking for mental health support.

Appreciate the Private Practice setting and not having to deal with a complex health system…read more Attentive to getting in for appointments. Winegarden, MD runs a few minutes late for appointments that is due to him caring about client he is working with and hearing them out. He is very down to earth, shares from his personal experience and is a straight shooter (no candy coating here, which is good). He helped me while I was so sick that I could not even accurately participate in my care plan. He listened to my husband's input and was able to care for me. He referred me to an outpatient program and to a DBT group, which has been an integral part of my healing. The nice thing about him is he is working provider to provider and then getting back to me with the information--very much a personal relationship with provide to patient communication. Highly recommend!

I would only recommend coming here if you're in a bind and need help quickly, but even then,…read moreinpatient psychiatrists would be better for your child; albeit, more expensive. Rhett Tompkins was my psychiatrist for over a year and over that time I was extremely dissatisfied. He pressured me to go back on Abilify even after a bad reaction, multiple times made me feel bad about my PTSD because I wasn't a veteran, and kept me on meds that didn't work for multiple increases even after months of not working. You think this place is worth it because of the availability; and you only see your psych every once and a while after you get your meds right, but my world changed when I changed psychiatrists. Sitting and actually being able to explain myself and feelings without being told I'm wrong is ESSENTIAL, if you feel like you can't be honest you won't get the care you need. Also, I don't know if there's any way to confirm but I had a friend who went to him a few years back as well. She was on abilify for two years and now has damage and long term side effects, and it's not even the right type of medication for her. I really do wonder whether or not he gets more money from pharmaceutical companies for writing more abilify scripts?
