The set up and individualized curriculum did a great job preparing me for college and contributed to me being able to excel. My daughter has experienced similar bullying from white students as well. The root of the problem at Hopewell seems to be an entitlement issue, where some children are raised to believe they are above others. I have trained my daughter to stand her ground. She is instructed to meet public insults with an equal response and to defend herself physically to the highest degree if anyone touches her. Respect is earned, and we will no longer tolerate 'royal' treatment at her expense.
