I regularly have a full breakfast although there is the option of any combination on any type of bread, along with the obligatory oatcakes and tea cakes. For me... at lunch, the hands down winner of the sandwich filler competition has to be the chinese chicken. It is THE tastiest I have ever had, and others agree- Every time I go i am required to purchase one for the wife. Although this place has another shop on Hurdsfield Industrial estate, delivers in the local area and has a van on the move around local workplaces- the thing that most sets them apart is the service. They are a friendly bunch who are always up for a natter, but know if you're buying a butty you are usually in a rush. Love the place... every time i am in the area it is a must eat little cafe.

But sadly having sat and sat and sat and waited there was no sign of any food. The lady who had ordered prior to us also sat waiting until she had to leave and go back to work. No problem they just refunded her money and she left. Where I was sat was close to a telephone that rang, the girl that answered it then slammed it down so hard that I almost jumped out of my skin. I did speak to her about this. As our parking meter was paid for a certain length of time we inquired about our food, we were informed that they had been busy hence the delay. As a retired catering worker who has worked in busy kitchens at Heathrow I am sorry but they wouldn't know what busy was. We were told the food would be one minute. It arrived stone cold , except for the portion of chips that had been dropped back into the fat to heat them. My husband then spoke to one of the staff asked for his money back, I left him to deal with it as he is a gentler character than me, it was refunded, they were sorry but still charged for the beverages. No gesture of goodwill there then! Having visited Coffee Beans at Leek and also Buxton (now gone) and always had the best of service I am totally shocked at the way the staff at Macclesfield couldn't give a flying fig about your customers. This place looks very enticing, until you try to order something…read more I was disallowed to add or remove ingredients of an omelette, no matter how much I disliked or wanted something. I was told there were no onions for example, so I ordered without and asked them not to put a side salad on the plate. It arrived, with salad, featuring onions. I asked for some ham, in my cheese and tomato omelette. Although the ingredient was available, I wasn't allowed to add anything. Which really felt like people couldn't be arsed with us being there. My girlfriend is vegetarian, and for her it had quite a good menu, however things did seem quite overpriced. Not a place we'll return to in any great haste, which is unfortunate as it could have been a really nice experience if the chef could be bothered to do any bespoke cooking of very simple meals.
