Good coffee, good space, good vibes. Check it out and hang a while. Bay Ridge could use more chill places like this.

Walked in here randomly,There was a coffe shop nearby that was out of avacados so I was happy that this place had both a toast and sandwitch option. I got a pressed toast with mixed greens and avacado, the only thing I didnt care for was the salty chips that came on the side. Would be nice to offer a healthy side option on the menu maybe, considering the toast is buttery and salty on its own. Not a fan of salt or greasy food. There is garden seating which is a huge plus, the inside is nice and cute. Im 5 staring, becasue as a resturant manager, the girl at the counter is so pleasant. I annoyed her with buying an extra sweet after I was done paying and filling my coffe to the top since I only have it black and she kept a smile on the entire time. Customer service goes a long way. read more

Ok coffee but just average. From the sign i thought that they had special prepared coffees that have the bun-son burners, but was disappointed . Not impressed at all. Coffee tasted slightly burnt too. Big place and free wifi. Starbucks doesnt have to be worried at all. read more

The coffee was really good, but just as expensive as starbucks and they don't carry decaf which is disappointing, as I only drink decaf. I did try the macchiato which didn't make me too jittery. But prob will not be visiting here again because of it. The shop itself is really nice and they have an outdoor space as well. I believe the have wifi. Oh---I take back the not visiting again part---their macaroons are to-die-for! Especially the green tea one! read more

Absolutely the best coffee and service in Bay Ridge, maybe Brooklyn. Mainly because the service is great. They even make a sandwich just for me, an avocado toast on a croissant. Of other importance is the fact that they make their chai from scratch which is incredibly rare. Once you start coming here you'll get to know the locals and characters that frequent this place which makes it familial. read more

An awesome coffee shop. I like it when I first time came here. The have nice latte and delicious food. Always good service and nice atmosphere. I usually go to coffee shops in Williamsburg, but I prefer this spot on weekends, where is not so crowded. By the way, their rose latte and nutella monster are amazing. Do not miss this cool coffee shop read more

After tiring of Starbucks' many issues, I decided it was time to try something new. I got a Lavender Latte and my husband got a Nutella Latte. The drinks were spectacular! And the shop was clean and the baristas were helpful and friendly. I think I found my new favorite coffee stop! read more

The best coffee in Brooklyn!!! Perhaps the 5 boroughs. Outstanding New Zealand coffee brew there. Very friendly staff. Spacious and quiet place to read and sip. The food menu is above average for Coffee bars. If you like coffee this is a Bay Ridge must. coffeebar.nyc read more

I went on a Tuesday afternoon and it was very chill. I assume it is like that most of the time so if you are looking for a quiet place to get some work done, this place is great. Wifi was good for the most part with a couple freezes in my 3+ hours spent there. I sometimes feel bad if I order one thing in a coffee shop and stay there for hours on end because that could be bad for a business, but this place never got crowded. I ordered a rose iced tea which tasted good. It's served in jars which is a bit too hipster for me but who cares, it tastes the same in a glass. The backyard has plenty of seating as well, along with umbrellas for shade. This is definitely a place I will come to to get stuff done. read more

I tried their rose latte and Belgium waffle a while ago. Both are very good. I like the atmosphere of the coffee shop. It's bright and clean. Also, they have outdoor seating in the backyard. read more

Their Nutella Monster drink is amazing!! You can choose to have whipped cream on top of your drink if you want. Their lattes are not bad either. The ambiance is also nice. They have friendly staff and it is a great place to study/work. It is quieter than most cafes. read more

I found Coffee Rx when I had over an hour to kill a weekday morning. It's larger, brighter and airier than the coffee places in my South Slope neighborhood. They post the wifi password in the board and there's ample seating both at tables and at several counters. The coffee was great and the breakfast items tempting, but I really appreciated the relaxed atmosphere, the friendly baristas and very clean bathroom. I'll drop by again when I'm in the area. read more

Best WiFi in Bay Ridge. The feng shui is a bit sterile, with a concrete floor and metal chairs, but the warmth it lacks in decor is made up for in their coffee and tea. read more

I was not amazed by the matcha latte here. I bought some Matcha Latte powder from Amazon to make by myself and that's how it tasted like. it was like sweetened milk. The barista/cashier was super friendly, and recommended me the cold matcha, in the end, my taste buds did not agree with his recommendation. The space is nice. Very quiet, a lot of people just sitting and studying. Free wi-fi and a large shelf in the back for decor and for announcements, menu items, and wi-fi info on the large chalkboard between the shelves. read more

I always get my coffee here. However, today I got a chocolate croissant that tasted stale and old. They clearly do not sell fresh bake goods everyday. Also, I got a iced double expresso which the barista served it in a paper cup. When I asked for a plastic cup, which is the regular way to serve it, he argued that's how they always serve it when it is not true. He was also very stingy with the amount of ice even after I asked for more. I will think it twice before coming back. read more

After a great brunch I was in the mood for coffee, and I had heard rave reviews about Coffee Rx. Having come in and doing a quick double take at the prices, I settled on the Nutella Monster - sight unseen. While slightly on the pricier side of things ($6), the overall size of the drink as well as the taste make the price well worth it. A coffee with 2 shots of espresso all blended together with Nutella set my hyperactivity skyrocketing, though it was so smooth and delicious I managed to get to the bottom in no time. As opposed to a frapuchino from Starbucks, the Nutella monster was perfectly blended, leaving no shards of ice to interrupt a sip. read more

This is my go-to coffee shop in bay ridge. I've been coming here since they first opened and still prefer their coffee and food over cocoa grinder and cream. I'm in love with their Nutella latte/ Nutella monster (so generous with their Nutella ratio!!). On days when I prefer something less sweet, I go for their rose latte. STAFF: The staff here is one of the many reasons that keep me coming back. They're extremely accommodating and friendly. FYI- there's no WiFi in the outdoor seating area :( read more

Great place to hang out. Good vibes. Great crew. Alice, Netaly, Jun, Jeff and Yan are great folks to get your daily fix.

I have visited this place many times. They don't offer enough options for coffee lovers. One would believe after so many comments about how they don't have their own iced coffee, they would make a change regarding it, but no changes have been made. They now have frapps, but it's a LOT more expensive than those from Starbucks and not nearly as tasty. No decaf, no iced-coffee and although they have little containers with sweeteners and milk on the side for customers to put in themselves, it's not as sanitary because customers like licking their fingers after touching them. I prefer packaged sugars or have the baristas do that instead to avoid cross contaminations. Of course, it may just be that I'm a health freak, but cross contamination is a big problem especially when you don't know how often they clean their bottles. Also, if they call themselves coffee lab, they should stick with the theme. Labs are usually not bright and blinding. If you're in the store at sunset, you're asking for sunlight blinding you, on a Sunday afternoon, when you want to enjoy your coffee, the sun just screams at you. They leave the windows and doors opened so there's air ventilation and a lot of bugs fly in and fly around the place, it's hard to even just sit in there and enjoy yourself. All in all, they don't offer enough and their prices are way too expensive. I would avoid going there if I actually want decent coffee. read more

Coffee Rx - Latte and sugar scone - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Stop by the busy Coffee Lab this morning. Ordered the house coffee, croissant and doughnut. House coffee is a medium to darker roast, no complaints. One annoying thing is that they don't use the brown sugar packets but offer the large dispenser. The croissants are from Balthazar Bakery and doughnuts from Dough Brooklyn. Smart idea to order wholesale from popular places. Side note, they are starting to serve lunch. Not sure if they are homemade or from the outside. read more

I definitely recommend the Avocado toast and Matcha lattes!!!! Great service. Friendly !

An awesome coffee spot you'd never expect to find in bay ridge! Cute, cozy, friendly AND the Nutella monster drink is the thing!!!

Excellent lattes, iced teas and hot teas in the bffs neighborhood. Always a nice time here, great service by the baristas. Love the open space and outlets to plug and recharge. Lovely new coffeeshop in Bay Ridge! I had an excellent cortado with a complimentary macaron - doesn't get better than that.

Tonight I came to Coffee Lab. All I wanted was a Nutella waffle after major jet lag. He said he couldn't make it for me because it was past 6. I looked at my phone, and it said 6:01. This is just laziness, bad business, just because it takes 5 minutes to make. The coffee is nothing special, and I can definitely envision someone opening a cooler coffee place in bay ridge. I usually don't give out one stars, but the first rule in life is when a hungry jet lagged bloke wants a Nutella waffle, just make it...even if it is one minute after 6. 15 minutes read more

Hipster cafe in Bay Ridge - speaking my language. Prices are on par with other hipster third wave coffee joints, maybe a lil cheaper than what you'd find in manhattan or Williamsburg. I had a solid latte. Tons of seating available, chalkboard lettering everywhere, super convenient location (a block from the R). read more

I've only been here as a pass through so I can't speak to what it's like to enjoy your coffee in house but from my experience the staff here is so sweet!! The space is welcoming and clean. Be very careful if you're new to cold brew! The cold brew here will rattle your soul if you're not prepared. Ask for extra room if you need it. Overall the flavor is really lovely and will perk up any gloomy day. Sip on caffeine lovers and enjoy! read more

Finally a coffee shop in Bay Ridge! Grabbed an espresso and it was very strong and delicious. They also sell French macaroons, which makes them probably the only place in Bay Ridge that does. read more

I am really not one to write reviews, but this experience is definitely worth sharing. I live a little over an hour away by car and I was compelled to come here because of the great reviews. Honestly, even if I lived in right next door, I wouldn't even stop in after my terrible experience. I ordered a regular mocha for my boyfriend and an iced mocha with almond milk with light ice for myself. I asked the barista several times for light ice while placing my order and she stilled filled the cup up all the way with ice. I then, kindly asked her to go dump some ice out (since I asked for little ice in the first place and since I don't like my coffee to be watered down). She gave me an evil stare and then she dumped, about 3 ice cubes out. I then kindly asked her to dump more out, and she finally did. Then she whips out vanilla almond milk, and I asked her if she had non-flavored almond milk (honestly, who orders a mocha with vanilla overpowering almond milk???) and she quickly pours the vanilla almond milk into the cup and says no, we only have vanilla. At this point I'm considering asking for my money back even before I drink my "vanilla almond milk mocha", but I talked myself into keeping an open mind because of the great reviews. So I get my drink from the barista, and its 3/4 of the way filled. I look up and the barista tells me its still hot and my drink is not filled completely because I didn't want a lot of ice. At this point, I'm irritated, but still willing to keep an open mind about the drink. So I go in for my first sip and not surprisingly, the drink is absolutely terrible. There was more chocolate in that drink than a person could dream of and I was shocked because the vanilla almond milk was overpowered by the chocolate. That's not all though. My boyfriend took the first sip of his mocha and his face looked like he just failed the cinnamon challenge. That alone says a lot because my boyfriend never complains about anything and he is not picky. I then take a sip of his mocha and it literally tasted like hot chocolate with extra chocolate with not even a hint of espresso. So, in sum this is the worst "coffee" (if you want to call it that) that I had in Brooklyn thus far. CONS: poor service, terrible "coffee" PROS: Clean restroom, well maintained space. read more

Absolutely excellent coffee! The roast is highly caffeinated so be prepared to get a buzz on or ask for half-caff. As everyone is saying, it's a delightful spot on a block that really needed some pizzazz. The French macarons are superb. The staff is very friendly. The shop is owned by a local pharmacist whose wife wanted to open a coffee shop. Lucky us. If you care about good coffee, please get down there now. They won't make it on that block if they don't develop a following and I've noticed some of the drop-in people order coffee and whine about the taste...they've never had a cup of coffee that tastes like coffee before. Believe me, their cup is as good as any cup I've had at the best places in Brooklyn. Now I know there are hip people in Bay Ridge. Get over here. read more

We love this place! Clean, delicious and fresh pastries, tasty (and affordable) coffee drinks. Simple decor without trying to be too trendy. It's definitely a perfect place to stop by and grab a quick drink or to stay and get some work done (they have wifi!). Also, we were especially pleased by the welcoming, friendly staff. So glad to have a local spot to visit! read more

I love this place. I visit often too. The ambience is just great and the food is delicious. We had the avocado toast and waffles with banana and Nutella. Mocha and hot chocolate are the best for me. I've only been here once so far but I really enjoyed my time here. The atmosphere is cozy and they have a cute little patio area in the back with wooden picnic benches. The place is a good average size but a nice place to go to get some work done or for studying or just meeting up with someone. I had their London fog latte with soy milk and it was great. Not insanely sweet at all and I could taste the earl grey tea. I was pretty happy with the fact that they had non-diary milk options. I'll definitely be going back to try the coffee and other drinks on the menu. read more

Another place that is making me start to love the Bay Ridge. Yummy coffee, plenty of space, chill music/atmosphere, friendly staff; if i lived in the area I would probably be in here every day. I particularly appreciated the fact that my iced cortado was not overly sweet. Prices are typical not super cheap but not crazy (like 3-4 bucks for an iced coffee drink).
