It's a nice spot with good pastries and a pleasant staff. But man that dang old nutella. I like that nutella stuff but you can literally feel the diabetes set in as you nutella your face off. Who am I kidding? I will drink it again someday. I have no self control. I need to lose about 25 pounds and I just cant make it happen. All it takes is one nutella based beverage and I just start sobbing on the inside and I can't stop myself from getting it. While I am drinking it I know I shouldnt have gotten it, but I just keep chugging away, every sip laced with regret and disappointment in myself. It's no way to live life. It's depressing to realize you are a slave to things like sugar, or caffeine, or chocolate or whatever. It's not the kind of problem a grown man should have. Lots of shame here you guys. read more

This coffee spot is great! I've been meaning to try them out for a while and today was perfect since I had a lot of work to get done. I spent most of the day in here and it smelled sooo good! I believe this is the only place in Bay Ridge that offers cortados? Smooth and delicious. This place is spacious and inviting, several tables (2 seater or communal). Not really a place to chit chat, but great for working/studying. Service is quick and friendly, the barista went to each table and offered water. They also offer macarons from Macaron Parlour. I have a strong love for this patisserie, so I may be biased, but try the macarons! I don't know which flavors they offer because sadly they were sold out pretty early and my craving came too late. Salted caramel, please? Overall, Iove everything about this place and will definitely be back! =) read more

Decided to try this place after reading reviews. I ordered the Nutella monster!!! OMG, it's heaven and orgasms in your mouth at the same time. It's like drinking frozen ferro rocher candies in one. I also ordered a waffle with strawberry jam and condensed milk, freshly cooked waffle with the perfect amount of sweets!! Yumzzz read more

This place is one of the highlights of the neighborhood! I've been around here for couple of years and there's no place that you can lounge and do some work until Coffee Lab sprung out on 3rd avenue. I was hooked on the Nutella latte and the almond croissants. This place only feeds my addiction to Nutella, so I have an excuse not to eat it straight out of the jar but sip it in a coffee mug. Yum It's also a wonderful place to do some work or study bc there's wifi and comfy music. Did I mention that it's near the train station? So you can swing on by before heading to work. read more

Its OK nothing to write home about. Really like strong coffee not the drip coffee but espresso style with milk. The iced latte here is OK very sublime, one time it was very milky. The next time I had a extra shot added and that was more flavorful. Plus at the condiment counter there was these small tiny bottles of simple syrup. Service was friendly but you need to have better coffee beans the flavor is lacking. read more

Great coffee, free wifi, and nice staff. Never too crowded. And they have a patio out back! I've found my go to spot in bayridge! Just wish they had more to offer in terms of food other than croissants and macaroons. read more

Finally got a chance to visit and overall very happy I did and I like the cool vibe your are going for and Coffee was good but some suggestions: 1. Open earlier, like I said previously I walk by at 630 am and forced to go to Dunkin because you are not open yet.. 2. It's too bright. I get it supposed to feel like a lab but it's not as inviting with white walls and super bright lights, especially in the morning. 3. Serve drip coffee as well. Like to have more coffee options. 4. More comfortable seating and current seats are so far apart I feel like I'm in a unfinished space. Thanks for opening hope you are around for a while. read more

Had an amazing mocha and the friendly customer centric staff are pleasures. What is not to love about waffles served from 11am until 6pm. read more

Coffee lab is a coffee shop that opened up close to my friends home. Small menu but their drinks are of great quality and delicious. The iced cortado hits the spot, not too sure what the difference is between this and a lattee but its great. Free wifi , cool chemistry lab decor, friendly staff, lots of tables and chairs, open outdoor backyard. Pretty neat laid back coffee shop read more

The best iced chai in Bay Ridge, but the real stars are awarded to the weekends-only avocado toast: my very favorite dumb California food trend. Yes, it's basically smushed avocado on ciabatta with spices sprinkled across and a banana for $7. But it's really, really good. Coffee RX (formerly Coffee Lab) also has Dough donuts, cold brew, and some pretty good Belgium waffles that you can get smothered in nutella. read more

Came here solely for the purpose of needing a study space. There's a good amount of seating along with outlets (bless) and wifi. Ended up ordering a lavender latte, which was surprisingly so good! I'm not the most reliable coffee critic considering I hate drinking coffee most times, but this cup was super creamy and didn't disappoint. Background noise was kept to a minimum the two hours I was here, so will most likely head here to study from now on! read more

NUTELLA. EVERYTHING. Honestly, that's all you need to know, but I'll keep going. I ducked in here on a cold afternoon of meetings - I needed a spot to sit for about 30 minutes, charge my phone, and grab some coffee. 1) The staff is incredibly nice. I had some questions about the menu, and the guy helping me happily explained my different options and what he recommended. 2) The coffee is REALLY good. I got a nutella latte, which was incredibly well done and tasty. 3) It's a nice atmosphere - it seemed like a mix of students and work-from-home-professional types, but without any of the stuffiness you find at other places with the same mix. Everyone was just hanging out but getting things done. There are a good amount of plugs so it was easy to charge up my phone. It's bright and clean with a good amount of seating. I look forward to coming back when it's warm to get the famed Nutella Monster! read more

My go-to study spot in Bay Ridge. I usually get the matcha latte with my matcha sweetened. It has fast WiFi and nice staff plus a restroom.

How to tell when your neighborhood is gradually turning more hipster? When a place with a name like "The Coffee Lab" opens up. Still, welcomed addition to Bay Ridge because there's nothing wrong with a little free wifi, ample seating, and fresh made waffles. The Coffee Lab is a great alternative to that noisy, crowded Starbucks because the drinks aren't half-bad, and you can stuff your face with some light treats, from basic sandwiches to waffle concoctions. So far so good, Coffee Lab. read more

Coffee Rx seems to be the go to spot for studying.. They have friendly and attentive staffs. My Bf ordered the Nutella Monster ($6) and I ordered the Lavender Latte ($4.75) to go. The staff offer us a free drink for our next visit because they felt that the wait time for our orders took longer then they would of liked. It was my first time having a Lavender Latte and I loved it. They use REAL lavender !!! The Nutella Monster wasn't overly sweet and you definitely taste the Nutella. read more

Nutella Monster w/ skim milk whip cream to die for. Great environment for work and the prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich with balsamic vinegar will change how you look at a toast sandwich. Locals who come in groups or with young children may make it a little noisy but as for the noisy adult groups just give them that you need to "lower your voice" dirty look that always seems to work for me. read more

I didn't really care for my beverage---I made the mistake of ordering something iced---three sips and it was gone. I guess I'm not as in love as everyone else. They didn't even offer us a freebie when they were giving out freebies for certain things, one of which was ordered. I guess it'll be a good alternative to Starbucks for those who wish to loiter but they need to make better use of their space. I agree with the person that said it's a little awkward. I might try it one more time but that will probably be it for me. read more

First of all, it's been re-named Coffee Rx, so note that. I came soon after they opened at 8am on a Saturday, hunting for a waffle, but the nice guy behind the counter said they don't start waffles until 11am. Wow, that's just kind of crazy, but ok. I was going to rag on that point a bit more, but when I opted for a simple cup of coffee to stay, served in a nice sized, wide mouthed mug and paired with a fresh chocolate quoissant, I was just very pleased with the cup of coffee. Even starbucks, screws up their basic brews sometimes, so consistency is the watchword here, but this was really a good cup of coffee. Strong enough, but not over powering and not bitter. One of these days, I might go back at lunch time for a waffle. read more

Awesome people. A good place to chill and relax. Try the Matcha Latte or the various other concoctions they have on offer. read more

Great coffee shop in bay ridge. I love coming here to study because of their free wifi and coffee!! There's plenty of seating indoors and the staff are very attentive. At times, they actually clear the table for you if you're done with your drink or food. When it's warmer out, you can sit outdoors because there are picnic tables with umbrellas. The only complaint I have is that the wifi doesn't reach to that area. As for the coffee, I'm a huge fan. However, I actually don't like their extremely popular, Nutella drinks, but their rose and lavender lattes are unique and a must if you plan on trying their drinks. read more

The best! I love this place. The people are super nice and the coffee is fantastic. The vibe, during regular non-Covid times, is very relaxed and you can sit at a table by yourself or with other people, plus they have an area outside in the back. Do you usually have music playing but it's never too loud or offensive. I highly recommend! read more

Cool little spot to get your coffee fix. They have a range of caffeinated items ranging from regular coffee to espresso shots. They also have a small selection of baked goods and food. I have not ordered their food as of yet so I can't comment. I normally get either the latte, cappuccino or mocha. The coffee is pretty consistent each time I order which is really nice. The coffee that you order normally does not come sweeten as you have to add sugar/cream to it yourself. read more

Great decor, love the name, it's quiet enough to get work done and the best part is the hours! It's hard to find a study spot thats open all week long especially Sundays and has very good hours for a coffee shop. The drinks here are pretty good too. I've tried the Nutella latte and it's delish! However i was hoping they'd serve the Nutella frap as well. I was offered a sample a while back and I cant forget how delicious it was. Please put it on the menu!! read more

My friend and I popped in here one day by accident after a run... We are so happy thay we did!!!! I don't know what it is about their coffee but it is delish!! Normally when I get coffee (especially starbucks) I need to add some type of sweetener.. At the Coffee lab there's no need to add sweetener because the coffee is soo good and I don't want to ruin the taste of it. So great everyone should go try!! In fact i can't wait til kt's 8:30 so I can go for breakfast! read more

This cappuccino is so good it brings a tear to my eye! Finally a great place in Bay Ridge! Totally worth the 15 block walk! I'm only giving it four stars because I want them to sell whole beans! read more

First time I've gone here, and I'm definitely coming back. I've had more coffee today than I've had for years. Last time I had a lot of coffee? Freshman year of college, when I was pulling all-nighters. Scarred me from coffee for life, until I came to this place. That's how good their coffee is. And before you say I'm blowing them up, when I first came in and asked if there was internet, the person sitting next to me at the time said "it's intermittent, but you should stay for their coffee." A few hours later, another customer said to the staff "Your coffee is great." So in case you feel I'm too much of a coffee non-aficionado or I'm blowing them up- I got/heard two unprompted coffee praises. Also, they're incredibly nice, offered me water while I was frantically trying to turn in my taxes, and even upgraded my additional coffee to a large for less than I paid for my original small. Plus, internet problems were minimal. I'm filling this review out while still here. So yes, you need to come here. For great coffee, friendly and attentive customer service, and a nice place to get your taxes done when your internet at home decides to take an ill-timed vacation. Other pluses: It was crowded when I got here around 4, but I found a spot and people don't seem to stay as long as they do at Starbucks. Bathroom is clean and doesn't smell. Open and airy, nice decorations along the wall. Now that my break is over, let me go back to being on hold with the bagillion other late fillers over at Turbo Tax. Ugh. At least I still have my coffee! read more

Perfect Sunday morning lattes. Ordered the lavender and nutella lattes. Both were so flavorful! Real lavender petals are used! Also ordered the yummy donuts after seeing them. Had the almond donut which was mouth watering good! Its also huge, and can be shared. Price is also amazing for the donut at 2.75 $. Overall definitely recommend this place and would go on a daily! read more

This might be one of my favorite coffee shops! I live in Queens but haven't really been able to find many places that make a good cappuccino. The guy in the front (sorry I don't know your name!) with the glasses made a pretty good cup. I also ordered a strawberry jam and condensed milk waffle, which was delicious! He was generous with the strawberry jam and condensed milk so it was soooo yummy. If I ever come by Brooklyn, I'd def come back! It's also really peaceful here on a Saturday evening. There were people here but they were all either reading or using their laptops. read more

Tried their Nutella Monster Shake and it was delicious!!! They are very generous with the amount of nutella in the shake and you could really taste it afterwards. I expected the Nutella Monster shake to be really sweet but it wasn't. I highly recommend it, the shake was super yummmy. read more

I am not the biggest coffee drinker but I love a fancy coffee drink from time to time. I was psyched to find they have rise & lavender lattes which I have only found in the city. Their drinks are expensive (around $5) but that's to be expected. They have that huge vat of Nutella which is great, I had it in the waffle which is $7. The waffles are pretty unique, more like a pastry. They also stock Dough Donuts, and I imagine they are the only place in Bay Ridge that does. Best part is the backyard! Friendly, polite service. read more

Only spot in the neighborhood to go if you're looking for place with nice lighting, friendly staff, and quality cafe drinks, and pastries. Several tables indoors and a small backyard patio. "The savior for entrepreneurs in Bay Ridge" If you live in New York, you understand it's expensive. Coffee-goers are often looking for those precious spots where they can really get into "flow". Whether, you're diving into that article in the New York Times, coding the next feature of your app, or writing a blog post, Coffee RX is one of the few places in Bay Ridge that will give you that extra boost. The Americanos are fantastic! Staff is young and friendly. And the overall layout of the space is beautiful. They have an outdoor patio as well in the back with picnic tables. I've been on many Skype calls with founders on that patio. I literally was in here every day when I lived in Bay Ridge (despite the somewhat ghetto feel of it's parts). Great spot to hustle and make it happen in the Big Apple! read more

Good cappuccino. Asked for a steamer for my 2-year-old. They were conscientious enough to make it less than hot for her. It was a perfect temperature. A little pricey for the capp. I don't really enjoy the sterile interior; but it seems great for people who are working on their laptops - not so great for a mama and her toddler to stay for a few minutes. Did not try the macaroons. May come back to try those. Would certainly come back for a cappuccino if I'm in the area. read more

You guys, their Nutella Latte is da drink to get! Nutella Lattes are all the rage now. You're welcome. You can taste the strong, distinct flavor of hazelnut and chocolate. I only glanced briefly when the barista was refilling the Nutella canister. It appears to be powder form unless I've mistaken it for the espresso. It makes more sense since lattes require finely grind espresso powder. Maybe it's their own concoction of espresso and Nutella. Anyhow, it is insanely good! Hub had their Pumpkin Spice but it was nowhere as good as the Nutella Latte. I definitely want to go back and try their other flavors- Lavender and Rose. Very intriguing. The shop has a very clean cut, modern and laid back vibe. There are several tables and seats to sit down and relax. I haven't had a chance to try their pastries. I'm glad this place opened up since I can now enjoy my latte while Hub gets his haircut down the block! :) read more

This place is so good. I come here for coffee whenever I'm in the area. Friendly staff, clean place, simple but pleasant decoration. Stuff I'd recommend: -Rose latte (my favorite, made with real rose petals) -Lavender latte -Pumpkin spice latte (better than Starbucks) -N.G.O.I. (Good iced coffee) I also like the hibiscus donuts, which I think come from somewhere else? I'm not sure. Favorite coffee place in Brooklyn. read more

I come here specifically for the Nutella monster...it's so good that I've never tried anything else! If you love Nutella and creamy drinks, this ones for you. Their cashiers are also super sweet and don't mind accommodating picky customers. Their prices are average, just as pricey as other coffee joints in the area. I also love their atmosphere, but keep in mind it's more of a study lounge than a cafe. A lot of the hipster crew that come here being laptops and headphones, most of them seem to be studying. I went once with a friend and we were having a normal-volume conversation, but kept getting dirty looks from people around us -- we were literally the only two people in the whole place that were having a conversation o.O read more

This is a really calming cute shop with delicious lattes. We had the lavender latte which was a tinge sweet maybe but super pleasing. Wife is easily accessible and there is good seating though you will most likely be sharing a large table with others. The location of Coffee Rx is not too far from where the Bay Ridge Marathon is so it's a great spot before heading out for a walk or to relax after a walk outside. Prices are a little high for a small drink but it's unique and tasty! And ambience is good for studying. read more
