This is a relatively new branch of the German coffee shop and hotel chain, located close to Wittenbergplatz, on the busy Kleiststraße, at the junction with Keithstraße.
The interior is the chain's house style, of muted greys, wooden floors and tables, large windows and industrial architecture (exposed pipework in the ceilings), and a mixture of bench seating with stools, and tables for small groups. There's a covered outside seating area on Keithstraße, though there is still quite a lot of traffic noise.
On our visit, we had their sandwiches and bagels, and coffee and hot chocolate. All of those were perfectly decent, but they are a little pricey. A coffee, hot chocolate and two bagels came to just over €15. Staff were efficient and pleasant. The venue also has customer toilets (one of the best equipped and nicest I have ever seen).
Usefully, it is also open on a Sunday when a lot of the other venues nearby are closed.
We would happily return. read more
