Wow what a cute little shop! We stopped by just for coffee and saw they had some food items so we tried a couple. First off, service was amazing! I asked quite a bit of questions just because I'm a little indecisive and the man working the front was extremely nice and patient while also pulling out an entire picture menu. We ordered an iced americano, the chicken salad wrap, the breakfast sandwich, and the vegan tomato danish! The coffee was alright, but the food actually was surprisingly good! I say surprisingly because I just wasn't expecting to get any food. The vegan tomato danish was as described and pretty flavorful! The sandwich was also good, we just got it without cheese so it was a little dry. But i still give this place 4 stars because they were so nice and I would go back for the chicken salad wrap. What does place lacks in size this place makes up for in warmth and delicious beverages! But seriously, not a huge spot, but it feels a little larger because everything is so bright, and lots of natural light comes through A great place to chill and hang out or to even get on your computer for a little bit. This is maybe the best cafe I've visited in Los Angeles thus far. My good friend found it via Google while we were looking for coffee this fine Tuesday afternoon. It was a quick walk from her place so we ventured out for lattes. . First of all the space is immaculate. Coffee Confessional's menu has much to offer any guest with the standard coffee fare, limited edition and seasonal drinks complete with pastries and food for the ultimate breakfast combinations. If you've been reading my reviews, you know I love a matcha. So when I saw a "Wicked" edition one on their menu, I couldn't think about ordering anything else. I got it iced and more on the sweet side with vanilla and oat milk. Jing, the best barista, explained really well how it's made using their ceremonial grade matcha and it's then topped with blueberry foam. I also got a vegan and gluten free lemon poppyseed muffin and my good friend got an iced peppermint mocha. . Hands down, probably the best matcha I've ever had. The quality was smooth and it had the perfect balance of sweetness with the vanilla and foam. I drank it like it was a phreshly squeezed lemonade on a hot summer day. I pretty much finished it before we got back to my friend's place. Lastly, the muffin was delightful. It crumbled softly as I bit into it and had a thin glaze over the top. . The owner (presumably) who worked behind the counter was very sweet although unfortunately the coffees did not deliver on the same front. My boyfriend and I ordered 2 times from here and the first, I ordered a vanilla cold brew with milk and they forgot the milk and the second time I ordered a vanilla latte and they forgot the vanilla. I also ordered the cloud blueberry coldbrew and it really just tasted like heavily creamed coffee :/ The avocado toast was pretty tasty although we couldn't get egg on it which I thought to be unusual. I'm not sure how this business is a functioning business. This is supposed to be the strawberry matcha. First off, it was completely tasteless. Water has more taste than this drink. Second, we ordered the bagel sandwich. After completing our order, we went to sit in the patio and wait. The employee had a question for us so he walked outside a bag of bagels in his hands to ask a question. How unprofessional. Oh and btw they were out of straws. A coffee shop is out of straws. One of the best services we've had from a coffee shop. Very attentive owner, very friendly staff, we come in with our dogs in the mornings, and our dogs get so much love here Ambiance 5/5: very clean, very pretty, and very nicely decorated both indoor and outdoor. One was ok (latte), two were watery weak (one undrinkably so) The place was cute, with music on a portable LP player (dig the vibe, but you'll up the quality if you get some external speakers - LPs over poor speakers is like great coffee made with too much water. Best underrated coffee shop in Hollywood! It has a really homey vibe and an amazing variety of options. I'm a vegan and they have great savory and sweet food options - my favorite is the vegan feta and spinach croissant. I got the best matcha I've had today made by Lilly, and she poured it in a reusable mug per my request. It's a great neighborhood spot and everyone is always so friendly - staff and customers included. Wifi is perfection with tons of outlets. It's also a great place to read or catch up with a friend. For me, it's my go-to work from home destination. There's also amazing outdoor seating. Some coffee shops make me feel so stressed out, but coffee confessionals always feels calm and welcoming. I ordered the Focus latte which has lions mane mushroom, vanilla flavoring and oat milk. It was wonderful! I usually make oatmilk lattes at home with stevia since I like my coffee on the sweeter side. This one from Coffee Confessionals was just perfect! Not super sweet or bitter. Perfect pick me up for the day especially with lions mane being a super food for the brain! You don't even taste the lion's mane which is perfect because I take it as a supplement and it is a bit earthy. Another thing I'd like to comment on is the customer service. I didn't catch her name, but the barista working was very friendly and acknowledged every customer. My friend got the chaga latte and I just got a regular iced latte with oat milk. Both were awesome! And tbh we're both kind of snobby since we worked in the coffee industry for many years (16 ). The espresso is smooth and buttery and I was definitely impressed. never a long wait, and all of the pastries are sooo good (we literally tried almost all of them. don't judge.) I stopped at this coffee shop about a month ago; I happened on it by accident when a friend and I tried to map a meeting spot midway between us. It is such a cute spot! Their outdoor seating setup is very classy and kind of European-feeling. It feels like a little piece of privacy on Hollywood Blvd. I can tell the owners put a lot of time and detail into setting up this coffee shop and it made me really happy to see that kind of care for a neighborhood in the heart of Hollywood. I actually ended up driving by a few times, and then up and down a couple side streets before I was able to find some parking. It was Wednesday, street sweeping day, so it's probably easier to park other days of the week. Small, Chill spot! A few people were working on laptops enjoying their coffee.
