We were served by Amber who has a great personality and was kind, patient, knowledgeable and welcoming. I loved the Caesar salad, nice and crisp with a creamy tangy dressing and loaded with parmesan slivers. My husband had a garden salad which he said was good, nothing special. Go for the Caesar. We ended up ordering the exact same meal (such a mistake when trying out a new place) which was the Philly Cheesesteak Flatbread. These are made exclusively with cauliflower crust, big points there as I'm currently going keto. The toppings were generous and it's huge. I credit this establishment for calling a Flatbread a Flatbread too! My husband wanted his with the onions raw and was cheerfully accommodated. It's very bright inside. Big storefront windows along the whole side bring natural light plus the electric lights were strong. It's really bright inside, it's big, high ceiling, and I did not get the feel of a bar & grill here. More of a family restaurant that also has a bar. The bar is set off with a divider, which is nice. There were TVs everywhere you look, in the dining room as well. They have Keno and play tickets are on every table for your gambling convenience. There is cute train related decor on the walls. The brunch sounds SO good and I intend to try it on a Sunday in the next three or four weeks and report back.

The rest of my party also said that their food was not hot. There were a few complaints in my party about the bacon being flimsy, and then when it was sent back for it to be made crisper, it was burnt. My mother-in-law had to ask a few times for her side of pancakes. The chicken for the chicken and waffles that my brother got & my daughter, got a side of chicken tenders, were under-cooked for their liking. But the server, I believe her name was Tammy, was great! She was friendly and attentive. They also set us on the patio in hard unforgiving metal chairs. Most of my party is quite fluffy, and those chairs were not made for our body types. The hostess said there was nowhere else she could sit as when we addressed the issue. Therefore we made do. However, I don't think those chairs are good for anyone. They're just not comfortable chairs. They have very good coffee and flavored creamers! I gave four stars because my entire experience was pretty good, except for the lack of beignets. I just thought I would mention how my party felt as well.

We found out this is one busy place. Everybody and their mother wants in! We had a brief wait, but so worth it. Parking was a bit difficult. It's nice to see that they have added alcoholic drinks on the menu and even a dinner selection. We started off with a couple cocktails and their Manneken Manhattan was off the chain. It reminded me of an old fashioned and that is fantastic. We ordered the Tuna Crudo and with its first appearance I asked does it come with anything crackers bread, pita and she said no it comes alone and once we put it in our mouths we knew why. This was really good and adding pepper to it really cranks it up a notch. I will get this every time we come here. Next were the Cheese Croquettes with the gruyere cheese inside and these were great, thank goodness there was no goat cheese. Next was the poutine and it was just your average poutine nothing to brag about here, I would not get this again but the Crudo and the Croquettes are definitely a must-have. Great atmosphere and great staff.

Brunch is elevated and a culinary delight, always a treat to add a beer and a spicy Mary to drink to make it a boozy brunch. We started with the bier cheese, this is a must try if you like frambrosia, you will not find a better pretzel and beir cheese for brunch, wonderful. Richelle got the not a burrito and I got the goetta hash for our main meal Goetta hash is delicious, perfect dish. I have never had goetta before, it might be a new breakfast addition for me. Not a burrito was delicious, but be warned the jalapeño cream is spicy, spicy, hot! Service was amazing, restaurant is pub like with great beer selection but it has an upscale casual style. The have happy hour specials. Might be perfect place to watch a noon kick-off game? They have packs of Belgium waffles ready for take home, which we could resist.

The waffle. Respect the waffle. It all started with that little (but mighty) waffle. No syrup needed.

Absolutely turned my stomach when it came. I also ordered a loaded baked potato and what came out was something I'd be embarrassed to serve. My friend ordered the scramble bowl. Very, very clean. There was ideal background music, 60s-80s familiar tunes. Just loud enough to hear and enjoy. Bonus points, I did not notice any TV screens. We had two classic brunch dishes. The French Toast was amazing, thick, eggy, just enough cinnamon. The fresh fruit on top was a welcome surprise. My husband loved the Benedict, halfway through he mixed his hash browns in with the runny yolks and took it to a whole new level. There are some nice options offered on the breakfast/brunch menu. Coffee was decent and refills offered. We both cleaned our plates. I think our waitress was Kelly, not positive of the name. Dark hair. She was great, very real, like a small town diner waitress oughta be. Knew the menu and what to recommend. Just the right amount of conversation. We had gone to early Sunday Mass in Lebanon, driving back towards Eaton, and I had no less than four brunch possibilities lined up, all of which failed for one reason or another. It was karma because we were meant to end up at Alleyway Cafe. So glad we did and I highly recommend this spot for brunch!
