Modoc had just performed her last show for the American Circus, when she escaped. The inside of the market is homey with lots of space to work, read or enjoy a chat with a friend. I ordered a smoothie. The clerk told me which smoothies were made from fresh fruit, so I ordered the blackberry smoothie, which came with whipped topping. They also serve coffee and pastries. I shopped around the market and read Modoc's story as I waited for my smoothie. The market sells their own coffee blend. A children's play area with books is available to keep the kids entertained for a bit. My smoothie took about five minutes to prepare and was fabulous...creamy and fruity. If I lived closer, I stop by everyday to try all the flavors. Modoc's is worth a visit. There is limited street parking.

But on the few occasions that I remember that iced coffee exists, I remember that I've forgotten that iced coffee is bangin'. The iced coffee at Conjure Coffee is great. I suppose you could put milk or creamer or sugar in it, but an iced black coffee is good on its own. It's good for your soul to thug it out sometimes, you feel me? Black coffee will put hair on your chest, as my dad says. Anyway, Conjure Coffee has lots of coffee drinks, as well as tea, and a very small selection of baked goods. There are lots of tables at which to sit, and this location also has a drive-thru, which is convenient. I learned later that there are two other Conjure Coffee locations elsewhere in Fort Wayne, including a small stall in Union Street Market. So this is a local spot that has branched out a bit, which is nice to see.

For example, on the second Thursday of the month from 5 pm to 8 pm you can visit for slam poetry. Because it's attached to another business it shares a parking lot and spaces are limited but they do have a drive thru. Inside it's clean and cutely decorated. There are a few seating options and then the coffee and counter in the back with a walk thru door to the gas station. Prices are reasonable and they offer all the typical coffee offerings. Coffee is well brewed with one free flavor shot given upon request. Staff Behind the counter was friendly and helpful. In the middle of the store is merchandise offered for sale such as coffee mugs and other bath products. I believe they also have a mug club to their regulars and you have a mug with your name on it.
