Quick, fun water tour with entertaining script and the thrill of being in a big, fast boat. Scylla, the tour guide for my visit, was very funny and kept us engaged even as the boat needed to stop and avoid hitting other ships. read more

Awe man this tour was absolutely amazing. it truly was worth it and extremely fun. the guide just made everything great and had some good jokes. I really enjoyed this experience and recommend it for the kids AND adults!! thank you Codzilla team for an unforgettable experience! read more

Mild, not wild. If you have ever been on a speedboat you can skip this. The experience is no different, except the captain gets you wet. The granddaughters 7 and 10 were disappointed that it wasn't more exciting. You do get to see a small bit of Boston's outer harbor which is beautiful. read more

I had a good time and didn't get as wet as I expected (though the narrator did say the back got wet the most and I sat at the very front). Staff were very nice and I like how it was thrilling but not too overwhelming like other thrill rides that don't give you a break. read more

I was a little skeptical about this ride because I don't really like fast boats. However, I think so. It was great and I really like that. They don't just keep going fast and they let you like get some time to settle but than they go fast for like a 7 minutes. I also really liked the story and that there's a lot of things to learn while being on a fast boat. I would go again read more

The entire experience was so much fun! The staff kept us entertained (while still focusing on safety) the entire time. Colton was amazing as the guide. The driver (I believe their name is Ronan?) kept us on our toes the entire time. I would recommend this for anyone visiting Boston! read more

Wonderful & fun Very thrilling. Booking process was easy. Host was wonderful. Highly recommend when in Boston read more

At first, I was a bit nervous because I wasn't sure what to expect. But once we got there, they started playing classic tunes from ACDC to Journey, which really lifted my spirits. They do provide a raincoat/poncho, but honestly, it's not very effective. If you want to stay dry, I'd suggest getting a thicker raincoat. Also, if you're not a fan of getting soaked, this might not be the best ride for you. And definitely leave your purse behind - it will definitely get wet! Have fun and enjoy the scenery! It is beautiful. read more

We loved Codzilla so much! It was the perfect refreshing adventure that we needed in our day! Definitely a must and a major highlight in our trip! read more

Josh was our guide and he was funny (giving John Mulaney vibes). We got really wet but it was so stinking fun. This is a fun treat...even as a local. I recommend this as a fun afternoon activity in Boston. I docked it a star for price. I want to go again but will look for a Groupon! read more

The two tour guides were awesome the narrator was funny and told jokes while the other had some sick dance moves. If you want to get soaked then I recommend the back read more

I was in boston to watch the yankees vs. red sox play. i did not have much time to do anything that day so i looked at fun things i could do while i was there. One of the top things was Codzilla. I am very prone to motion sickness yet this did not trigger it. i had the time of my life with my dad and would 100% do it again. Our guide made it a million times better, she made it very fun and made everyone laugh. if you plan to go make sure you get there about 15-30 minutes early because they only do one trip every hour or so. it gets actually, no way fun and bumby for about 20 minutes. (best part). overall i give it 5 stars i had the time of my life with my dad. read more

A must-do in Boston! It's like a roller coaster on the water! The tour guide Mike was funny and made it even more fun. They play rock music and the boat goes up to 40mph. Be aware the boat makes sudden turns and rocks a lot when it stops if you are prone to motion sickness. And you'll get wet so wear a poncho or bring a change of clothes if you're worried about that. But to me that's what makes it fun! This was my second time doing Codzilla and it's always been one of my top recommended things to do in Boston! read more

I've lived in Boston for many years but first time going on it. Definitely a fun ride on the water. The boat goes 40 miles per hour and the turns and bumps make it feel like a rollercoaster. The host and other staff are super friendly and energetic as well. Super safe too, they have seatbelts and handle bars to hold on too as well. Also they give you a free poncho because you'll definitely get wet You also get a great view of city skyline and the other islands around. I gave it a 4 just because it is a bit pricy for the whole experience. I would give a 4.5 if possible though Definitely a fun touristy thing to do though and great for kids! read more

This is the now SECOND TIME IN A ROW they have cancelled. I even repurchased new tickets because the first time we got ALL THE WAY out in the ocean just for the engine to not work. These are things that should be checked before because we are now in danger. The second time they told us right before we were supposed to all get on that it is cancelled due to the weather because It will be raining soon. Our ride was at 4:30 it is now 5:30 with NO rain and the sun out. This is ridiculous and will never buy tickets from here ever again. Stop canceling OVER dumb stuff and check the boat BEFORE we are in the middle of the ocean!!!!! Highly do NOT recommend. read more

My daughters gave them their mushroom hats to hold while on the boat and we forgot them at the end. We were one of last trips for the day and came back first thing in the morning for them to have only one hat in the lock box :( two sad kids today ! read more

Codzilla came highly recommended from a friend of mine who is a Boston local and whose son had gone on Codzilla and LOVED it. I didn't know what to expect, and it was probably best that I didn't know much about it. Codzilla is a "boat tour", but it's not much of a tour. It's a high-speed boat ride around the Boston harbor that is much more of a thrill ride than a tour of anything; you'll see the recently developed Seaport district, the airport and a water-processing plant. They say that the ride is a wet ride, but the boat didn't look particularly wet....yeah, that was deceptive. Even though we were wearing ponchos, we still got soaked. Codzilla is on the pricey side but definitely fun - it was the highlight of the trip for my 12-year old. The theme of Codzilla should be The Wknd's "Can't Feel My Face" because the boat ride was really fast....so fast that I think my face almost became numb! It would've been better if I was wearing goggles or sunglasses because I couldn't keep my eyes open with all of the salt water being sprayed on to the boat. It's probably not good to make too many plans afterward. We were uncomfortably wet and a little itchy from the salt water drying and needed to go back to the hotel to change. read more

Great time with kids, family and friends! It might seem scary at first when they say the speed is 40 mph but it is very doable. There aren't too many turns or spins, just the right amount. Be prepared to get wet though unless you wear a poncho. Meredith, our host, was awesome and funny. read more

We had so much fun on this tour speed boat! When we go back to Boston we will go again! My 4 year old was so thrilled and loved getting wet! The host was very good at her job and quirky ! We loved it! Had a good fiction back story! Thanks for making my daughters birthday fun! read more

This experience is for you if you like thrilling adventures, getting extremely wet, and having lots of fun. Warning: you'll get really wet, I mean soaking wet - they give you ponchos but still, you'll get wet * * * * * This was an incredible experience! We gave Codzilla a try after finding out that there were no more whale watching tickets for sale. Our guide, Ethan, was amazing. He was funny, enthusiastic, and gave us an amazing experience during our ride. It was calm in the beginning, but once we entered the green zone, we started speeding up and having lots of fun. This experience is for you if you like thrilling adventures, getting extremely wet, and having lots of fun. I'm honestly glad we went on this instead of whale watching as that might have been to mundane for me. Tip: the farther you are in the back and the closer you are to the edge, the more wetter you'll get Have fun! read more

Fun time, yes, you do get wet, even with the ponchos, we were all soaked! Many laughs and smiles all around. Went a few years ago for the first time, definitely something you can do more than once read more

This was so fun! This is a must do during the summer in Boston. They did a great job keeping up entertained when we were in the no wake zone with funny stories about Codzilla. Codzilla is must do! It was so much fun and the guides were great. We would've done it a second time on the trip if we had had time!

Booked Codzilla for my birthday and boy was it worth it! This was my first trip to Boston on a warm June day and I wanted something cool to do in the ocean since I love all things boating. The host on the boat was great. He was super enthusiastic and told funny jokes throught the ride. Yes it was borderline cheesy but still all in good fun. Codzilla goes really fast at times and turns all over the place. And yes I got mildly soaked. My only gripe is I wish it was longer for $30 a person. Felt more like 25 mins than 45. Overall, I loved it. Beautiful views of Boston harbor and a great summer activity. If I'm ever in Boston again I would do it! read more

This was a really cool experience. Easy online booking. Well organized. This review isn't for the boat ride, but for the website/company that manages it, City Experiences. I wasted $100 all because I could not find parking. The website does not give any information about where to park. I got there at 1:30PM for a 2:00PM codzilla ride, and I went into a parking garage directly next to it that let people inside when there were NO SPOTS AVAILABLE. Wasted my time and missed my boat ride (was not allowed to reschedule before the ride which I found out later, even with ticket assurance.) The garage even wanted $20 for the time we spent in there. Told them to gft. Moral of my wasted-time-&- money story, is that if you plan on driving there, allow yourself at LEAST an hour to find parking and/or do your research on. Or take the T. Also, DO NOT buy the ticket assurance! It's such a waste of $10. It only allows you to reschedule 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE. So, if you have some sort of emergency or can't find parking, there is no way to change your ticket or get your money back. It isn't clear when you go to purchase it as it only shows you the benefits of having it and doesn't show its restrictions. I assumed I would get a refund with ticket assurance, but no that was not the case. I waited a week for my refund that never appeared. When I finally talked to a human, they told me that it was a no-show which is non-refundable and non-transferable. Some BS. Really upset over this, and I hope through writing this review others don't have to go through what I did and get their money wasted!!! read more

Get out from your comfort zone and try it out ! Best wet activity in Boston.. staff was very nice and organized. Boat was taking us off shore to speed , spin and creat waves. I highly recommending this activity for kids above 3 years old. read more

Needs to go much faster and unless you're on the rail you won't get that wet. Not worth $57. $30 maybe.

Amazing experience.. would highly recommend. Would do this again! Show up at least a half hour early (so you can pick your seating). Plan on getting wet. Worth every penny! read more

A four word review - It's good for $20. It's a big boat with dual turbo diesel engines that gets moving pretty well headed out of the harbo, lots of nice tight turns and wake fun. I've got videos in my Flickr profile of what its like. The two actors are campy and get on your nerves by the end. Sit in the front and feel the breeze or sit in the back & get a bit wet. You can snap some nice photos on the ride back to the dock. read more

it was fun... at first... got tired and dizzy and sea-sick later on... and no to mention - completely soaked with sea water and sand! we didn't have to pay for it... we were visiting the harbor and were going to walk around then later to the 'barking crab' when the guy stopped us saying that there were four tickets free for us... but we gonna get on the boat right now cus they are leaving... we thought why not... though it was a little weird... the boat was half full and we were indeed the last 4 ppl on board! again it was fun since we didn't have to pay a dime... but not if we had to pay $30+/ea! read more

I'm shocked to see this place has 3 stars. It really deserves around 4-5 stars. The experience is great and it is in the heart of the city, so of course it's going to cost you a few extra dollars. It's a speed boat and it's freaking awesome. In a hot summer day it is the perfect activity to partake in because you get soaked . Shout out to John the host for being so enthusiastic, and with a great sense of humor. My friend and I had a fantastic time. I would recommend this to everyone. I loved Codzilla. Great views... Great ride....and great staff. read more

Your experience on this ride may depend on the guide and story they tell, to explain why you are getting wet. It's really just an expensive large jet boat ride, with justification to wet the participants. The views of the city from the water are nice. read more

I live in the city and have always wanted to try the codzilla. I finally found the time to do it today and it was well worth it. Cost about $56 for two people which isn't horrible. The staff on board was hilarious and friendly. It was so much fun and I purposely sat in the back left side because I heard that's where you get the most wet and that is definitely true. I got soaked head to toe, so worth it. The speed is just the right amount because Ang faster the wind would hurt your face. The water does sting when it gets in your eyes but you'll get over it. Highly recommend to experience Boston differently. read more

I have been going on the Codzilla every summer for many years. Last weekend was the worst experience I've ever had. It used to be so much fun with loud music, narration, and getting wet. This experience had none of the above. Zero music upon boarding, zero narration or story line, and the hair pin turns were almost non existent. I got off the boat bone dry and was EXTREMELY disappointed. Needless to say I will not be keeping up with this tradition. read more
