We had a really nice time visiting the farm today. Cheri was a great host! Here is my advice before…read moregoing: 1. Don't be in a rush. The entire farm is ran by one amazing woman. Sometimes she will need to check new customers in, take someone on a pony ride, or tend to an animal. Allow 2 - 2.5 hours to enjoy the property 2. Don't be afraid to interact with the animals. This city gal was terrified when chickens came to eat out of my hand but we ended up having a great time 3. Do leave a tip if you can. Cheri adopts older animals that would otherwise be euthanized. It's expensive and she is doing it all on her own! 4. It's a small property ran by a retiree. She keeps the animals in pens during open hours otherwise they are free to roam. It is a bit run down in places but I'm certain the animals don't mind! 5. When you arrive enter on the left side of the farm if you are looking at it from the road. Google will direct you incorrectly to the right side of the property but since it's a small farm not such a big deal!

What a hardworking person she is, taking care of the animals and making sure they're all okay. She said we can call her Cowgrammy. It seems like a really tough job taking care of the animals and it costs a lot of money, so we were happy to add onto her reasonable prices with a nice donation. You know it's going to help support the animals and keep them happy! This one of of the favorite things in our whole trip to San Antonio for our 5 year old daughter. She got to feed the animals and she rode a pony, that's pretty much top tier entertainment for a 5 year old. Excellent excellent excellent, support this place as much as you can!

We've lived in Texas for several years and this was one of the most fun things we have ever done!…read moreIt was my oldest bday and she loves knives. We walked in and they had a cancellation. Jay was absolutely amazing and so patient. Her knife took about 2 hrs to make and we had such a great time it felt like 20 minutes. He had great stories and kept us engaged. He communicated clearly with rules, expectations, and what each step was that she had to work on next. He had us laughing so much. Vic was another brother that was great. He kept my youngest, 9 yr old, engaged and had her complete attention. He was patient and helped her stand correctly and how to hold the hammer. And he had to repeat himself many times but never lost patience with her. He showed us how to make different nail swords and let her help too. This is a family business and honestly it is a must for any visitors, tourist, or even Texans that never see what's around them (like us!). I totally recommend bringing your family or friends. We won't regret it and you'll go home with a unique gift that you made yourself.

The two gentlemen who ran the shop were friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience enjoyable. Building our own knives was an incredible value, and it was easily the best of our visit. The outdoor workshop where everything took place was clean, well organized, and created a hands-on experience. I was a little nervous at first, but once we got into the shop, listened to the instructor , and received all the safety instructions. Zeus was an awesome instructor, I felt completely comfortable. Everything was explained clearly, and the process went smoothly. I highly recommend checking this place out, whether you're looking to purchase a quality knife or build your own. It's a unique experience that I would gladly come and do again!

Carl was the coach who led the class. He was great at showing beginners basic techniques for round offs and back hand springs. We began each class by doing conditioning exercises and then moved on to tumbling. Fast forward a few years later. When I joined the Holy Cross squad, we went here for tumbling once a week. We also made use of the mats when we needed to work on our competition routine. There is an upstairs and downstairs area. The upstairs area is for young gymnasts. The downstairs area has two trampolines, a tumble track, and a full size competition floor. Carl was so great about letting us use the gym at the hours we needed. I'll never forget how supportive and encouraging he was when I was just starting out. He brought out me out of my insecure pre-teen shell and believed in me when I wasn't sure that I was really capable of becoming the kind of athlete I wanted to be. If I have a child and decided to put them in gymnastics, I'd like to bring them here.

Their lessons have been sensory rich and in-depth, pulling multiple academic subjects into their lessons. The teachers are fabulous, and as parents themselves, they are truly invested in the school and the progress of the students. I really love the math curriculum (taught by a math specialist) and the project based learning! The take-home bonus is that the students' handmade textbooks for each unit are absolutely incredible and keepsakes for life! This has been a very affordable option for our family, and a better option as I work too much to homeschool full time, and need some support for developing curriculum. I'm especially grateful for the social-emotional learning curriculum and mindfulness lessons the children receive as a group! It makes for a kind and inclusive community!
