The reason that it is packed is because it's the best gym in the area. The most I've ever had to wait for a machine is maybe 10 minutes. I will pay those 10 minutes to be able to go to this facility. The front desk personnel are fantastic. When they welcome you in, it isn't like some gyms where the comment is an afterthought, they really hope you have a good workout. Even though it is a new gym, they do a good job of keeping everything in good shape. The trainers are the best! They have a good variety of personalities so you should be able to find someone who can help you reach your goals. I've worked out with three and seen other trainers working with clients. I haven't taken any classes yet, but friends have said that the classes are really enjoyable. I have done a HIIT workout challenge, which was really needed to help me get out of a rut. Equipment wise: plenty of areas to hit all lifts. Two combo racks and two sets of kilo plates for powerlifters, pound plates everywhere, variety of bars for general lifting, powerlifting, and weight lifting. Strongman is not my thing but there is a large presence of strongman athletes as well. The gym can be intimidating but don't hesitate to visit. The gym itself is in good condition, clean with some great weight machines and lots of space. There is even a woman's only smaller weight area by the stairs. Overall, because of its spaciness, it usually feels less crowded than some of the smaller Golds. Staff is friendly and there are a few good classes. However, it all pales in comparison to the obnoxiously loud music playing on overhead speakers. Since many of the people working out have their own devices playing their own sounds, I am not sure what the intent of the music is.

It has almost all the machinery of the bigger Gold's and tends to be less crowded during certain hours, not to say it doesn't get packed. It does, and being smaller, it can get bad. A visit to this gym during peak hours make using the machines frustrating because it can be a wait. It also has less maneuvering space when fuller. All in all, a best bet is coming in early, 8 or 8:30 or much later, closer to closing. I like this gym, though, because, when one comes at none peak times, it is pretty empty and it is one of the cleaner ones with more upkeep. Some of the other Gold's have machines and weights with more wear and tear. Overall, I enjoy this gym and I like the classes, so it's a good place to work out in.
