When I picked my baby up after his cremation, he was in a beautiful little carved wooden box. He had a little personalized death certificate and she had taken care of his little blanket that I brought him in wrapped up with. I would, (and will), go back if the time ever comes.

I am so relieved that we chose to trust Angels with Paws to care for our beloved dog, Clementine, on the hardest day. We will always be grateful to Brian and Roberta for their kindness, compassion, and respect. They were both professional and empathetic. They treated our sweet girl with dignity and allowed us time to say goodbye. I called and emailed to ask questions before needing their services, and they were both so patient, communicative and helpful, which gave me so much comfort. My questions about private individual cremation were addressed promptly and thoroughly by Roberta on the phone, and Brian by email. Although they offer pick up, it was important to us to go to Angels with Paws to ensure we felt comfortable. We were so fortunate to be able to choose in-home euthanasia, and we took our dog for cremation afterward. We arrived later than expected, and Brian was so accommodating, and ensured we did not feel rushed. We appreciated his quiet presence and empathy, and he expressed his condolences several times. Angels with Paws offers a nice selection of urns, memorial jewelry, and other keepsakes, too. The drive through the mountains from Asheville was beautiful, and upon arrival we felt such a sense of peace. They have chosen a lovely, tranquil location, and the crematory itself is located outside. We arrived toward the end of the day, and our amazing girl was wrapped in her blanket and cremated under a starry sky. We were relieved to hear that Clementine's ashes were ready for pickup sooner than expected. Our only regret is that Angels with Paws did not provide cremation services for our previous animals years ago. We have always had suitable experiences in the past, but this was different. Angels with Paws is a locally-owned family business and they genuinely care. They took extra time to honor our wishes, and this meant more than words can express. Thank you, Brian and Roberta, for being here for our family and so many others.

There are no words to express how utterly devastating it is to lose a pet, but what makes it…read moreunimaginably, exponentially worse is a cremation service that doesn't even bother to check its paperwork and "overlooks" that you requested a clay imprint of your pet's foot. I clearly initialed that exact option on the form and paid for it, PLUS it was in the vet records/notes, only to get a call from my vet's office a little over a week later and find out that Tall Pines had "somehow missed that part on the paperwork." Why am I even filling out paperwork if it's not being given the rapt attention that such a delicate line of work not only requires, but demands?!?! So basically, they made ashes out of my and my boyfriend's 8-year-old beloved bearded dragon WITHOUT getting his footprint and tailprint, and we had to hear it from the receptionist at the vet. No one from the actual company bothered to call us and explain, much less apologize. Everyone makes mistakes, but some mistakes cannot be rectified, and this is certainly one of them. It is inexcusable and unforgivable. It's like we lost our baby all over again. Any grieving pet owner who's already coping with the loss of a precious and irreplaceable family member should understand the magnitude of this "mistake." That clay imprint was as important to us - if not more so - than the ashes themselves. It was going to be our last memento of our baby, the last piece of him we had to hold on to, but we'll never be able to do that, and refunding the money I paid doesn't even come close to making up for it. There IS no making up for it. This is NOT ok, and I have zero faith in Tall Pines thanks to this appalling error and complete lack of professionalism. I hope to God that this doesn't happen to any other unfortunate pet parent.

I contacted Todd the evening of June 11, 2024 via Facebook Messenger. He responded that same evening and answered all my questions. After discussing everything with my family, I contacted Todd again the next morning and he came out that afternoon to get Sam. Two afternoons later, on June 14th, Sam was ready to be picked up. His pricing was far and away much better than any of the other companies I researched. But most importantly, his professionalism and compassion was phenomenal! He knew he wasn't picking up "just a dog;" he was picking up a member of our family. There is no way I can adequately explain how appreciative I am to Todd for his kindness and empathetic respectfulness during this time of pain and grief. Thank you Todd for making this time of loss and sadness just a little more bearable!
