The rooms don't seem to be clean in my opinion. The toilet handle was covered in water spots and had something stuck on the end of it. The remote control for the television has the number of the room written on blue painters tape which is peeling back and dirty. The "cafe" Triple 7's Cafe" is not that great. If you want nacho cheese with your Mexican food get the Carne Asada Fries. The meat was bland as was everything else. The whole place smells like cigarette smoke, and I didn't even go into the casino so I can only imagine how bad it is in there. Granted I expect a casino floor to have people actively smoking and would never complain about it because it comes with the territory. But the cafe and the hotel lobby/rooms I expected them to be scent free. The staff on the lobby seemed happy and their customer service seemed appropriate for check in. The Cafe staff I interacted with seemed disinterested, and annoyed I was ordering a meal. Overall, if I can avoid ever coming here again I will, I am sure it works for some I am just not one of them. read more

I had a great time at the Casino. The outside is very inviting and clean and the parking is easily accessible. The Casino is not too big but there are plenty of machines to choose from, they have a Bingo Room and card tables as well. There are a couple bars that I saw and we sat at one of them and had a fabulous bartender, she made our drinks really well. I played some of the slots and won a little so that's always a bonus. The young man at the cashier area was professional when it came time to turn in my winnings. We didn't try any food but saw some food available, looked like the buffet was no re-opened yet. I will make this a stop next time I am in Yuma, the hotel area looked clean and inviting as well maybe I will stay there instead of downtown. read more

Fist time here, booked reservations for Memorial Day Weekend. The check-in process was smooth, rooms don't have refrigerators unless you're in need of one for a med. Some what noisy in the early mornings from the maids. Food wise, they only have one restaurant open, The Artisan Cafe. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have a snack bar called 777 but it doesn't open till 800 pm makes no sense. Should have more than one selection of food for choice. Gift Shop is nice, for a quick bag of chips or something. The pool area is rather small, I know it's generally 90+ in AZ but the pool was cold. Need to at least heat it. No.food outside, didn't even see a bar? Casino is small but rather nice. They have Bingo, which is the reason we came! The slots to us being that we go to casinos in CA are rather tight. I recommend playing Bingo. Make sure you bring a jacket it's cold in the entire hotel. We also walked across to Wild River and bowled. That was fun. If your looking to get out of San Diego and a short drive this is a quaint place just needs some more restaurants and pool up grade. read more

This review isn't at all about the casino, but more about the Native American Day Celebration they had on the open field outside of it. The admission was free, so we parked and walked into an open outside area that had vendors, a beer garden and a stage. Not bad; I listened to the bands; they played well. Someone should've slipped the soundperson an extra $10 for better sound because it was heavy on the treble. They also had traditional dancing going on, and prizes for raffle tickets. We didn't do the usual meaning on buy frybread, we just had some ice cream from a vendor. I walked around checking things out, the wife and her friend sat in the beer garden, and the kids played on the open field. I asked a worker at the beer garden if they had coffee for sale, she said no, but she'd get some when her shift changed. Wow! That was nice. October 1st I went to hang out with family, used the ATM and got a hardware service error. Decided to try again and got the same message. A week later I saw the 400x2 plus fees had been withdrawn from my account with no money actually coming out of the machine. I've been there many times with family but if they didn't save the video as I requested I guess small claims? I had given them enough money this shouldn't have been an issue. Don't take this as meaning go to Paradise instead. Had even more issues there. read more

Amazing little getaway resort! Good food fun atmosphere and staff was amazing! The manager was awesome and very helpful!

Overall I'm really impressed with this place. The areas where you play are extremely clean and the people who work their are all really friendly. This is my first time here and I would definitely come back in the future. The only reason I gave this review four stars is because while I was sitting down and playing the slot machines, the drink lady came back by and helped literally ALL of the people at the dollar slots, but I was at the quarter slots and I guess that made me not good enough to entitle me to even the most basic of customer service. read more

The casino smells like a bar in the 70s. The cigarette smoke is insane, we were there for an hour and couldn't stay any longer. Way worse than any casino we have been at in the last year. Very poor ventilation system. We went back out room and showered because our hair smelled so horrible. No comp drinks for players, dropped a few bills (no wins) and still paid for our drinks even when playing poker machines at bar. The hotel was super loud, children screaming in the halls and we could clearly hear conversations in the rooms around us. Who brings young children to casino? Poor construction no sound proofing or insulation what so ever. Our reservation email mentioned a nice restaurant but its still closed because of covid. That's fine but don't advertise something you don't have. The ONLY positives were the beds and pillows, very comfortable. Do not recommend ! Plenty of other places in Yuma to stay. I was here for work for super bowl weekend (2008) The hotel portion had literally just opened and was very nice for a low/midrange hotel. The heated pool was a bunch of fun to sneak into late at night after a few martinis. No matter what you do don't take out your camera to show your friends pictures (much less take a picture), you'll promptly be escorted away from the casino. It might be secret spyware to cheat, a nuclear spewing weapon or record famous people(HAHA) or as far fetched as it may sound it could be digital photo display/taker. hmm The casino was alright, nothing like vegas but looked nice and had all the normal games and fun. I didn't get to play poker because of my usual run in with the law. Gawd I'm such a trouble maker. Food, agree with first reviewer. YUCK I wouldn't let homeless people eat there. read more

If you're expecting a casino comparable in size to Vegas or even San Diego, keep it moving. But keep in mind it's Yuma so deal with the cards you have. The size doesn't really bother me, at first i was surprised by the circular set up of slots, but it's not all that bad. You have a section for tables and whatnot, players club directly in the middle. Customer service was excellent. I had a host help me from the second I came in to when I left. Older gentleman, forgot his name :( but joking and gave me some helpful info for playing. I'm staying in Yuma for a day or so and I looked around for the best hotel I think the casinos the best hotel because they get a high influx of people going in and out the rooms are clean and it's a hotel and it's a casino they're going to keep the rooms clean that I can have shitty rooms now I highly recommend this place because the price is right and I got a great discount for AAA almost $20 off per night nothing but a piece of the tax a couple things but other than that it looks like a nice hotel and a hot tub is open 24 seven for guests only I can't wait read more

I had to stay here out of necessity for back-to-back weekend trips because it was the only hotel in town that could accommodate our group. The ENTIRE first floor reeks of cigarette smoke. The smell even makes it to the second floor rooms. At best, the "hot" water is warm so trying to rinse the smell off isn't pleasant either. read more

Well what can I say except will never be back. Arrived on October 15th after travelling 3700 km over 4 days by motorhome to stay overnight in the r parking area that night . When we arrived the rv part was fenced off and I approached a staff member who was overseeing the the fencing off of the parkping lot and asked where I could go . He told me to park anywhere over in the far parking lot in front of the hotel ,which was completely empty and no one would bother me . I did that and the wife and I headed to the restaurant and then off to the casino. A couple of hours later I went to check on the motorhome and there was a knock at the door and a a staff member asked me if I was there to gamble and I told him that we had dinner there and we were both in the Casino . I mentioned to him that I had spoken to an employee and that he directed me to stay where I was and that we were heading to Cocopah r resort in the morning for our 6 month stay . He said to go park in the back and that he did not want us there. I told him to look around to see not one other vehicle in this huge vacant parking lot he did not care and just said move . This guy gave us no directions to get to the rear and his attitude made my blood boil. I then went in to get the wife and when r entering the casino an employee greeted me and asked how I was doing , I explained the situation and he said aw just leave it there . It is with some chagrin that Panochey must confess Panochey knows the inside of some casinos. Okay, let's be honest. Panochey knows the insides of more casinos than is good for him. And now Panochey must add the Cocopah to this list. All that said, Panochey did okay at the one-armed bandits at the Cocopah. This has certainly jaded Panochey's view towards the Cocopah in its favor. Sweet Thang and my piehole went into the Cocopah around 1pm on a Tuesday. The ambience was light smokey but not unbearable. We went in with a single C note between us, not planning to play much more than a cursory amount of play. Sadly, Panochey was not too successful. Happily, Sweet Thang KILLED it. She found a machine that was smoking and rode it for the better part of three hours, coming away about four hundred to the plus. even my luck turned somewhat enough to allow us to leave with our original C-Note intact and five of theirs! Not bad work if you can get it. Here's some kindly tips: 1.) Do not sit on a losing machine. Set your lower limit of your money to play on any machine. If you lose that, move on to the next machine. 2.) If you hit, you quit. If you get a really good payout out of a machine, take your money and move on. Do not feed it back into that machine. 3.) IF YOU SMOKE, and are about to sit down to a bank of machines with others sitting there and no one is smoking, be a polite person and ask if it is okay to smoke. You have an addiction, you don't need to share it with others. 4.) TIP the drink lady. She ain't there working fer nuthin'. She's got a car payment, a rent payment and probably kids to feed. We're local, so we know the casinos here in the Yuma area have a reputation for pretty good food. So when we saw the billboard for their seafood & prime rib buffet, we said, "OK. let's go!" The line wasn't much as most of the snowbirds have gone home. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the coffee was good. Loved the salad bar. It was the buffet itself that was disappointing. Because the plates had probably all been sitting out in the air conditioning for most of the day, the plates were cold. This meant all of the hot food -- including the great variety of seafood items and the prime rib, were all cold by the time we got back to our table. Not a thing you can do about that. I would've given it at least four stars, if it wasn't for that small detail. It would've been a wonderful dinner otherwise. How hard can it be to keep the plates in the kitchen for awhile, and keep them WARM so the hot food served on them stays at least warm for a few minutes? read more

When you sign up for players club they will give you $10.00 of for your first buffet after you play. The employees are willing to help and serve you whenever you have questions. I will say I don't mind the hotel, it's clean and the staff are always nice and helpful. This review is for the buffet; we were very disappointed the food wasn't great at all and for the price we paid it would have been better to go down the road to McDonald's and pay half of what we paid at the buffet. The food was just awful, I think they used powdered eggs and those thin pieces of bacon that are already cooked just needed to be heated up. This was my first time to Cocopah. I entered through the main doors searching for a holiday party in the Cottonwood Room. My first impression was not good - the place absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke. The crowd mostly consisted of elderly snowbirds. After arriving at the Cottonwood Room, I roamed around to find some water for our table [of eight] since none was immediately provided. Naturally, I went to ask the bartender who informed me that bottled water was available for $1/ bottle. I thought it was odd to pay for water at a holiday party (especially because it already cost $20/ person), but I went ahead and bought a bottle. After returning to the room, I asked a server if any water would be available for the evening. She pointed to a case hidden in the corner behind a Christmas tree, and informed me that the bartender in the adjacent hallway was allowed to sell water even though it was provided for free. Seriously!? I suggested that it would be ethical for the bartender to inform people that there was water available and that they did not need to buy any from him, but the server shrugged off my comment. I then proceeded to the bartender to suggest the same to him, and he insisted (in his own words) that he would continue his scam. Only after reporting the problem to a manager did the problem get resolved. Even then, the bartender never returned any of the money he made from selling the FREE waters. My irritation was not with the cost of the water but with the principle of the lack of ethics and professionalism of the staff. Plus, no customer should have to clear up such a ridiculous problem during a holiday party. Cocopah, not only did you not make me happy as a customer, but you messed with a yelper. I live in Las Vegas , and play video poker 7 days a week . The hotel staff is very nice at Cocopah ( in Yuma , Arizona ) and the casino is decent for what it is . The reason why I am giving one star is because of the immense rudeness and lack of respect that the casino's security guards have for customers. I am very polite and do not like confrontations of any kind . I abide by rules and mind my own business . This is July in 2020 and there is a mask rule in place in Arizona . I had a glass of water which I was drinking ( it was 111 degrees outside ), and every single time I lowered my mask so I could fit the straw in my mouth , security came running over as if I did something horrific . I swear that I had my mask on my face the whole time I was in the casino except for taking a sip through a straw of water . I have ptsd and have a lot of trauma so when I was taking a sip of water I looked up and this man with a security jacket started yelling at me . He said my mask needs to cover my nose and I said that I did have it that way but I was drinking water just now . He said well put it up now , your done . This happened for the rest of the evening with various casino personnel . I will never step foot in that horrible place again . If they can't respect people who put lots of money in their machines , then they should stay at home . Now I'm crying and I'm cutting my vacation short . The person seating us separated our party, we asked her if we could be closer but she gave an aggressive tone of voice, she started arguing in front of customers, which was very unprofessional and kept stating there was no room, however there was more than enough room to accommodate our party. We tried making the best of the situation regardless of the separation, but we had it when they gave us napkins with BLOOD! Don't trust these people. The Casino General Manager, Sheila, agreed in writing to reimburse me $691.00 for a jackpot I won, but could not collect due to mis-information given to me by one of their employees. They admitted in writing it was a training issue and told me personally they agreed the casino had responsibility in the matter. The "tribal council" then reversed her decision saying she didn't have the authority to reimburse my money. They didn't think twice about throwing Sheila under the bus and compromising her word and integrity over $691.00. Cocopah's word cannot be trusted and they hold the almighty dollar above their own honor. In my opinion they are cheap stubborn bastards and not to be trusted. Don't step one foot in this dump.
