Great place for a mani + pedi. The spa is clean and modern, plus the champagne is a nice touch to the relaxation. I always feel spoiled when I visit here as the spa is well equipped. The facial and massage beds have warming blankets which I love since I run cold. The mani+pedis here are reliable. I've gotten a few facials and massages here which have been hit or miss.

First, making the appointment - it was difficult to find an open time that works, but the person who answered my calls twice was super helpful. Okay, vibe - the place was really calming. Right off the bat, as you enter, the aroma was relaxing. Maybe except the bathroom though - they should def have whatever scents they're using put in there as well. Anyway - the receptionist was nice and really helpful. For the service, Hannah did my pedicure and she was very accommodating to my request and the end result was as intended . They don't do nail art, so that's something to note, but overall, will probably be back!

I just tried PureSculpt for the first time here with Kristina! She was super nice and made it easier for me to get through it lol. I had literally no idea what I signed up for and she could tell. She explained it's like rubbing a piece of frozen clay on my body. It felt like a piece of ice being rubbed and melted on my body. This service is messy lol you basically take off your clothes and put on disposable undies that can get messy with clay. You also protect your hair in a shower cap. When it's all done, you get wiped down with towels and you finish getting clean with wipes. Kristina was super friendly and easy to talk to, and it was great distraction while I was getting the service done - which is a bit cold! If you do cold plunges from time to time like I do, you'll be fine though! However, I did do the express version which was quicker/easier than the full service. She told me it's like half the amount of clay as the full service. The price difference for Express vs. regular is $170 vs. $210 respectively. Express only took like 25 minutes even though I was booked for an hour. Maybe Kristina is just a pro and got done efficiently! But yeah, that threw me off in terms of me expecting it to be a longer service. I did feel great after even though I'm not sure if I'll see the effects after just one service. My mom on the other hand got the endermologie service done and she really liked it! 50 minutes for $210. It was fully that length of time. She said the machine was newer than one she has used before at another place. One of the things I didn't expect but loved was the waiting lobby! They have a ridiculously comfortable living room - vibe type space. There's a sofa, and two lounge chairs where you can fully lay down while waiting. I happily waited for my mom in one of these chairs! The ambiance is dimly lit, so relaxing, and there is tea and water available. Not to mention, when you first arrive, you are offered a glass of bubbly! (Prosecco) There was also WiFi to use so my dad could fully indulge on his phone without using all his data, since I came with my parents while they were visiting. Kysa helped us with payment stuff over the phone when we had a question about payment afterwards - she was super helpful! Overall it was a luxurious experience and highly recommend if you feel like pampering yourself!

Just received a 60 minute facial here. My nose has been bothering me for the past few months and it needed some nurturing. Kathleen worked with me and she was great. She had a great bedside manner and was very calm. This was my first time here, and I thought this was a great place for both a massage, facial or mani/pedi. Great service and I will be back for a massage.

Had a great massage experience at Cocoon! I love that they have a relaxation room where you can enjoy your tea/water/champagne before your treatment :) The massage itself was great - Carolina did a great job working through my knots and checking in with me through the treatment. Amanda at the reception desk was also super sweet and made sure our glasses were never empty. Would definitely come back!

i've been getting massages for almost 10 years now, and can confidently say that this is the best massage experience i've ever had! nicole did a wonderful job at making sure i was pampered and taken care of for my birthday. the ambience and attention to detail was everything to me and enhanced my overall experience at cocoon. this is my first time here and it certainly won't be my last!

think, wavy nails on one with old gel not removed properly and the other more reasonable

NOT a returning costumer! this is what my last night visit has concluded with. 1) How can you be a manicurist and don't want/know to use a regular dry hand file?! blows my mind. 2) 138 of the comments here say you're greeted with prosecco, I was offered tap water and hot tea, I thought they ran out-turned out they did have, when half way through appt some guy asked for it and they silently brought it to him alone. I had a hard gel long manicure on that they didn't know how to remove. their argument was they don't have the tool (the drill-auto file) to use because they don't offer that service but they have regular files which they don't know how to use! put a lot of acetone on which I told the lady will not work, then she used some chemical dissolvent like 3 times and every time with a long sigh. It took a lot longer than she anticipated and her next appt was there so she rushed a lot which led to more deep sighs and me knowing I was going to get out with crappy nails. I cut them shortest you can cut a nail, ended up with wavy nails, super thick on one hand (old gel not being fully removed) and thinner on the other (the hand that was closer to her ended up better). the gel on a thumb nail shrinked under UV light and she just put a thicker layer on top to even out which I discovered this morning is not even dry well. :((( I just moved across the street, but definitely not my next go to salon!

LOVE this place! Their nail technicians are detail-oriented and do great manicures. The service is warm and guests are always offered some champagne or tea/coffee. Their dermaplaning and oxygen facial is amazing, and leaves my skin feeling fresh!

My friend and I went here for a day spa experience and it did not disappoint! We both got an oxygen facial, deep tissue massage (she got the prenatal one due to her being pregnant), and the deluxe mani and pedi. I also got my eyebrows waxed. We loved the staff that helped us out and the woman at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful. When you walk in, go upstairs and you can already smell the calming aromas of the spa. There was a cute quiet waiting room that you would go to between services. My massage was awesome and my massage therapist Estaban was knowledgable and allowed me to communicate my needs, intensity etc. Adrienne did my facial and eyebrows and she did AMAZING... explained the process and the products asking about my skin care routine and any allergies. We will continue to go back after this time and time again!

Hi Sarah, Do you take parties of 5. We have a special event coming up and would like 2-facial services and 5 mani-pedis. Are you able to accommodate our party?…

Hi Valerie, yes we definitely can. I would suggest you call the spa. We will be happy to assist you with this reservation!

    Do they do powder dip?

Hi there! Yes we are launching it August 1st!

Are the massage rooms private? I wanted to get a couples massage off of Groupon

The massages I have gotten at Cocoon have all been in private rooms.

I can bring in a vague idea or inspo pic and she somehow always executes it exactly how I imagined... if not better. Her skill set is super versatile, too, so whether I'm going simple or more detailed, chrome, 3D, fine lines, French tips... she can do it all and it always looks clean and intentional. She's also really efficient in the best way. Nothing ever feels rushed, but she works with a level of ease and confidence that makes the whole process feel seamless. And the durability is kind of unreal. I'm hard on my hands for my job and I've never had lifting, chipping, or breaks-- ever. That alone is rare, especially with this level of design. It's this mix of creativity and technical precision that's so hard to find, and why I keep coming back. So grateful to have found this spot... do yourself a favor, stop scrolling and BOOK IT!

This time, however, all I wanted was a builder gel fill but I left with two cut fingers and pure disappointment. I could tell that the woman doing my nails was shaving aggressively, but I figured she wanted to be quick & efficient. I didn't feel the cuts when they happened, otherwise I definitely would've said something about the pain. However, later in the process, I heard her say "oh" and I noticed that my left ring finger was ACTIVELY bleeding. Most frustratingly, she did not say sorry OR address the blood, rather, just started cleaning it like nothing happened. Then I looked at my right ring finger and saw cut skin there as well. I got light headed but couldn't muster up the courage to object. I shouldn't have to. The photos do not do it justice because as I mentioned, my left ring finger was BLEEDING down the nail. To make things worse, this nail technician was extremely rude and short. When I asked her if my left pinky nail could be shortened to match the length of my right pinky, she looked at it and didn't say a word. It wasn't until all the paint was finished that I then asked her again "can we please make this length match"? And she finally said she was going to, as if my question was an imposition. The audacity. At the end of the appointment, I still tipped (less than I normally do), regretfully-so. When I asked her if her name was one of the displayed venmo cards she said "no". Unfortunately, I do not have her name but she was on the younger side with glasses. I would not recommend unless you want to feel rushed, ignored, and even injured. I will not be going back to this salon.

It used to feel more upscale like a luxury salon they offered you a quality tea or a glass of wine or even water or whatever (which seems on par for the high price point) and the decor felt more upscale. Now it has kind of janky cheap IKEA fake plant vibes now and the salon really reeks and there is not even so much as a water cooler. I always get a headache coming out of there now, where as I used to love it when it felt so airy and breezy with the doors open and the city view ahead. I asked for the door to stay open recently and got a subtle eye roll because one of the nail technicians was cold. Come on, this is SF not Chicago in the dead of winter where you need to close the doors. No one wants cancer breathing all those chemicals! There is nowhere comfortable to sit if you are getting a manicure and no waiting area. I got a $5 dazzle dry extra charge on my last bill that no one warned me about until after. Hmmm. And having to pay the tip separately digitally is not a great look for a salon with luxury level prices. They need to streamline their process. There is a big sign that says no trying on nail polish but I guess if you're friends with Charlene you can break those rules - as I saw two women completely ignore the rules and start painting their own nails at the polish rack while chatting her up. lol. If you're not a regular there, you are treated politely (at least no one is openly talking about you in another language) but if you're a regular, you get this loud "hey girllll" type of greeting when you walk through the door which then makes everyone else feel a little weird. I could not relax the last time I was there because the music was so loud and I was stuck listening to an entire conversation of Charlene giving 'therapy' like platitudes to some bored whiny SF housewife - I felt like I was getting dumber by the minute listening to this and I should have brought my headphones or ear plugs for some peace and quiet. If the prices weren't so expensive then none of this would be an issue. When I am paying $60 for a manicure, I expect a good massage and the extras that come with that price point. LPNS is overall trying to be friendly and give quality work so that is why I give it 3 stars instead of less. But, truthfully, I miss the way it used to be and am looking for a similar place on this side of SF - a luxury comfortable nail salon. Someone message me if you know of a luxury nail salon where everyone is treated the same when they walk through the door!

The technician clipped my cuticle too far, causing bleeding, and was very rough throughout the service -- especially while removing the builder gel and filing my nails. She also skipped steps that Andrew had previously done, which affected the overall quality. I clearly asked for a gel builder fill and to keep my length, but she began filing my nails down anyway. I had to repeat myself multiple times and eventually had to switch to Gel-X just to regain the length that was removed. There also seemed to be a language barrier. However, instead of asking a coworker for clarification, she continued with what she thought I said rather than confirming my request. I ultimately had to stop and ask another staff member walking by to help translate. Additionally, pricing was not transparent. The service is listed online as $70 for a gel builder fill, but I was charged $85. When I asked about it, I was told I had already been given a discount, which was confusing and not explained. This technician needs more professionalism and should be spoken to regarding both technique and customer care. Overall, this experience felt rushed and careless, which was very disappointing given how great my first visit was.
