Mimmo - Arguably the very best pizza I have ever had. The cheese and sauce are fantastic and made only better by their high water content dough.

In all honesty this might be the very best Italian food I have ever had. Its owner, Tony, aver engaging man, is building what I hope to be (first full year in this location) a very successful restaurant predicated upon material and ingredients acquired by artisanal suppliers and includes many providers he knows well and refers to them as his friends. The Chef de Cuisine, Dario is also very engaging, is from Italy and produces the best pizza and meatballs one could hope for. The back of the house staff also includes a young man (I am a pretty old Fk'r) named Robin who joined us out front for a picture I've posted and taken by, yes, Tony himself. We plan on returning prior to departure from our 1 week stay in Valencia and we would love to see his magic spread to the USA, hint-hint Seattle, please. If you have ever read my reviews I typically don't critique food as I am not a foodie. Tony's place is decorated in an eclectic array of pictures (Bob Marley to the Dude himself Jeff Bridges) and memorabilia which can help pass the time by appreciating the care in which it is all assembled. Trust me por favor that you do NOT want to miss this place.

I am so addicted to ceviche that if it is on a menu of any restaurant I just have to order it! I even travelled to Madrid especially to dine and Astrid and Gaston´s restaurant... told you I am a FREAK! About 6 months ago a friend told me I do not have to travel to Madrid to get my portion of Causa Limeña, Ceviches and Pisco, I can get it in Valencia in Commo! I went with high expectations and have returned many times since. It is the only Peruvian restaurant in Valencia that did not disappoint me in any way. The chef Vanessa is a lovely peruvian Lady graduated in Cordon Bleu, during one of my visits on a weekday it was not so busy and she came to our table to explain a bit about the food and its multicultural history. Jean her husband will make you feel welcome and will give recommendations what to try. By now I have almost tried their entire menu and I have my own favourites: Tacu-tacu, Quinotta with truffle, fish soup, causa limeña, tiraditos of salmon and not to forget Ceviche! Of course accompanied with a Pisco sour or maracuya. But leave some space for dessert as they are excellent! Enjoy... I can't wait till my next visit!

The restaurant is owned by 2 brothers, they were very kind explaining the dishes and advising the wine. They have different wines that you can order by glass. We started with some vermouth and a Spritz. I did not think there was enough aperol in my Spritz so I asked for more, this was not a problem at all, so good start! We where not sure to sit outside or inside, we choose outside but when it got a bit cold we asked to go inside, also this was not a problem. The portions are designed to be shared. We had the sardines lasagne which was roasted vegetables with sardines, surprising. The steak tartar was good although I did not like the ginger, this was nicely on the side. The Duck cannelloni was amazing, very flavourful. The presentation of all dishes was lovely. The surrounding was simple but pleasant. We did not have any space left to eat the Pulpo (octopus) but the owner told us about a good place to eat this in Galicia, where we are going soon...
