I was able to get some awesome incense and trinkets. I attempted to squeeze myself into some tiny jeans on the sale rack! I got them on. lol I just couldn't walk. I think they were in the 0-2 range. If you are that size, they have 2 cool pair of jeans on the sale rack! I found a rad pair of overalls which I wound up purchasing and a rad, bucket hat too. The couple (I'm assuming couple but a man and woman) running the place were very nice. I thought all the prices were reasonable! My overalls were the highest item but I think they were around $50. My cool bucket hat was only $11. A box of incense cones were $1.25- $2.00. I'll definitely be back in!

If you want to remember the glory days of the 60's & 70's pop on in - they still exist here and challenging the current day status quo is more important now than ever before. You can get you a Deadhead sticker for your Cadillac or VW Van, the coolest hippy clothes for the next festival, incense by the bucket load, candles, art - mass produced and locally created, a room full of vinyl and every inch of the place is filled with something more cool than what you were just admiring. I picked up a few stickers and a zine as gifts. I'm not sure why it's been so long since I was last in here, but any trip to Westport going forward must include a stop in to recharge the soul and pick-up something to enjoy or to gift. Long live It's a Beautiful Day and all that it represents.

This gem of a store has been so clutch over the years for picking up gifts. Some of the people in my life are, um, a little hard to shop for, but when I come in here, I always come away with something great. It's all so well-curated; some gifts are classy, some funny, and many are versatile. It beats the socks off of going into a big box store in a million ways. Being in a charming stretch of a walkable area adds to its appeal, and the staff is always friendly. They also have Pickwick candles which are some of the best in town. These soy candles will last multiple seasons and almost all of them smell amazing. Cheers to this shop, they're doing it right and have saved my bacon every December since they've opened.

Board books every where. While I went there for a Trapp candle leather/tobacco for my son (which smells like leather and tobacco and is really nice) the amount of board books for children is phenomenal. I could easily spend $100 on board books there. And not just regular board books, but interesting topics like the Kansas City board book I bought. 3. Haha the cluster eff towels, cluster eff pencils, Get the eff to sleep book (which I bought). The unique gifts and trinkets are bountiful and wonderful. I laughed out loud plenty of times, including at the Dog in Chairs gift cards. There's plenty of things to see and buy. Thanks to Adam and the Yelp shop local event, The General Store is a must see. Oh I forgot pictures, sorry.
