i always like to find a new restaurants or chain that are from here and put lots more good food…read more Petinos is a great place to eat, food is excellent, service is good and the place itself is nice. i recommend it as it's a nice change from Chez Cora and Eggspectation andvthe portions ate bigger for the same price. I had a combino plate called Versant with 2 eggs, bacon, potatoes with 2 french toasts. I also like thry give real maple syrup to put on french toast ans waffle.

It seems like it's family owned and operated with friendly yet slow service. My dinner was the Poulet Exotique which basically was chicken and some Asian greens sautéed with a sweet sauce with a small portion of steamed white rice. It was good however the sauce was too sweet and too canned tasting. My coworkers each got different things, one got a dish with skewers of chicken and beef which seems really good. The other got a mushroom and chicken dish which didn't seem to appealing to me.

We stopped here for Sunday brunch…read more It is a small family run place: mum in the kitchen, dad out front with their son up from Montreal for the weekend to help out. We didn't see mum, but the son and dad were super friendly. The food was everything you would expect for Sunday brunch. Nothing super fancy but we were certainly not disappointed. The only minor complaint was that they took ages to clear the tables.Their focus was on the customers that were already there rather than clearing the way for more. When we sat down they cleared our table fast enough, and then we had lots of great serviec, but it was almost like they waited till someon sat down before they bothered. We'll be back.

This is possibly the best fruit plate I have had outside of the Caribbean. FOOD I was torn between French Toast and the poached eggs with fruit, called Le Quartz. I settled on this "healthier" option because I didn't want to be weighed down for the day. It was the best decision! This fruit plate was epic! It had (and I'll definitely miss some stuff): fresh fig, field berries, an apricot, half a plum, apples, pears, pomegranate, dragon fruit, prickly pear, kiwi, melons, pineapple, clementine, grapes, mango, and I'm sure other fruit that I've missed. It's served with two poached eggs, cottage cheese and a toasted English muffin. Yum! It was so good, but almost too much food for one person. I ended up sharing some of the fruit with my BF, who didn't get any with his crepe. SERVICE Our server started out a little rocky, but quickly redeemed themself. They seemed a little miffed that I didn't know they would serve my latte with a KitKat stick and chocolate powder on it. I'm allergic to cocoa, so I had to send it back. I was sorry, but also, who does that without asking? They seemed to think I should have expected that. However, once we got over that little hurdle, they seemed to recognize that I wasn't being unreasonable and became rather pleasant and quite personable. I suspect the initial reaction was just a momentary lapse. Customer service can be exhausting, and I don't think they intended to be rude. AMBIANCE It's a typical brunch place in terms of decor and ambiance. It's a little noisy, but not rowdy. It's a little bland, but not industrial. It's not fancy, but better than a truck stop. The food more than made up for the ordinariness of the space.

3.5 stars. The place…read moreis clean and the food is decent. But I consistently get annoyed by the staff. I often go there in the morning with a colleague for a quick cup if the traffic spared us a couple of minutes. But it's like if the concept that someone might have only 15-20 minutes for coffee was a novelty to them. Shortly after we get coffee, we know we must start harassing the staff to get the check and wait again to get the machine. The coffee is good, but boy, the service is lacking. I didn't do a review of this place just because, basing it only on a coffee before work isn't fair. Our plates were ok. Ok size, ok food. My friend got a big onion skin in his potato. The ham was definitely from a real ham and not some pressed cheap meat. But there wasn't much. The potatoes were slightly undercooked. I think what rubbed me the wrong way was that we waited in line (without any line) and got told we missed the early bird special by 2 or 3 minutes. We obviously arrived last minute for it. But, I would have expected to at least get some polite explanations or something. Not a "can't do, the computer says so". Maybe the weekend staff goes smoother.

Great for big portions, bacon, eggs and toast type meal - I don't think I saw pancakes on the menu though which was disappointing. Only thin crepes or waffles. My ham and swiss cheese omelette was tasty, and very generous with the cheese, however the egg was dry. The fresh pressed orange juice was also too sour for my liking. The highlight was the toast, thick, moist buttered bread topped off with my choice of honey and jam. Portion and price wise, most things off the menu are affordable however 5$ for a glass of juice seemed like a little much. I wouldn't come here every weekend, but it's good for a home style breakfast if you're on vacation.
