Honestly after going for lunch nearly everywhere in the valley this place is definitely at the top of the list. Prices are fair and the guy really cares about cooking good food for you. By far the BEST service I've ever had. The guy was so nice and was willing to make us whatever we wanted even if it wasn't on the menu. The food was delicious, exactly what we wanted. I got a bacon,egg, and cheese croissant and it was delicious. More flavorful than I thought it was going to be. He gave us free water bottles and a free cup of fruit for my vegetarian girlfriend. Like you do not see customer service like this anywhere. They also have a crap ton of different types of food and all made fresh. We decide to give this place a try because of all the reviews on Yelp. BAD IDEA. They have their menu printed all over the place. Very confusing .. even the menu itself was confusing to me. $7.50 for bagel w/ cream cheese is the same price as a breakfast bagel . Since we didn't have time I ordered a breakfast bagel and my bf got a breakfast croissant. We waited 25 min for our food to be done and we were the only people there (maybe they had delivery orders.. I'm not sure) While we were waiting, we asked for water. Mexican guy who works there got us two cups of water but inside there was black dirt. I gave it back to him and asked for another cup of water. He said okay put the cup down and went on a delivery and didn't even bother to tell the other person to get it for us. We finally got our food. It was really greasy and I felt gross after . We didn't even finish our food. Ps. For those who do delivery orders .. be careful . Went with the family the other day and didn't know they closed early that day but Paul the owner/cook/waiter/one-man show was nice enough to still cook for the whole fam. We got calamari, coconut shrimp and dumplings for appetizers. Calamari was BOMB nice and crispy, not too oily with a sweet and sour sauce. Coconut shrimp was up there too. Then for the main course we got a full rack of lamb, again perfectly cooked. A house style lobster with shrimp, New York Steak and finally Sweet and Sour Pork Belly. Again, everything was cooked to the T and service was exceptional. Paul is very attentive to his customers and it can be pretty busy since he's only by himself alot of times but the man sure delivers and is super fast in the kitchen. I'm new to the neighborhood and have been wanting to try this place. My timing was great as Paul was just cutting up strawberries when I arrived. He then offered me two different juice shot samples which gave me a needed boost since I just got off work. They were fresh and amazing! I ordered the coconut shrimp and shrimp fried rice togo. Paul was super friendly and whipped up my dishes quickly. I was pleased with the flavors and the presentation was creative and on the healthy side. We were gonna order from this spot on Eat24 but I'm glad we actually decided to stop in and eat there. The guy there which happens to be the cook was the only one there and was a little busy but that didn't stop him from showing us some real Californian hospitality! Something most places lack in out here. He talks a little much and doesn't stop talking lol but I loved it. We weren't rushing so we stayed ordered and the food came out a short while later (even though he was the only one there answering phones, taking orders and walk ins) now let's get to the food part since we got the great customer service out the way. This is why I gave this place 5 stars....food came out, was as fresh as can be, presentation was beautiful, and no lie it tasted just as good as it looks! My girlfriend ordered the angus bacon cheeseburger with fries and I had the New York steak and eggs with home fries. It was finger licking good and these weren't any skinny cheap pieces of meat. No, they were quality cuts and he knows what he's doing there. I also had the super G juice which was fucking delicious! After we were done he offered us a free desert for being so patient! But honestly I didn't realize we were waiting long at all. Gotta visit this spot. Stop in and order or you can text him your order and he'll have it ready for you by the time you come in. After passing this place up time after time, I've finally stopped in. So far so great, everything looks and smells amazing and the prices are great! Staff is all smiles and very friendly. My best friend and I have ordered the "Ultimate 3" croissant which comes with 3 meats, avocado and fries mmmm. I've also ordered a Banana and Mango smoothie. So much better than a drive through! If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. The service was ABOMINABLE - yes, I'm shouting too... and the food was meh. I actually found this on yelp around the corner from my friends house. What an embarrassment - wish I'd never dragged my friend there, though she's a super PC kind of a chick who will put up with just about any abuse from someone with a smile. Me on the other hand... not so much. I have my limits. Here's how it went. First off we walked in and were pleasantly surprised. There is no doubt the ambiance was kind of cool at first. The whole Asian, neon signage, casual atmosphere seemed like it might be relaxing, despite the seating being awkward in some spots and the menu being a little difficult to navigate since it's off to the side potentially next to other people's tables while they eat. I ordered a bagel and side of pancakes, with a boba. My friend ordered an omelet and coffee. My bagel and pancakes come out - still no drinks, not even water. I also get no syrup, and all the Asian dude behind the counter does is say "I can't find it", drops off some vanilla syrup you put in coffee drinks (YUCK!) and walks off. I ask if he can find it and he just yells from the kitchen, "no, can't find it, I'm busy in the kitchen." Uh... ok, wish I'd known that before ordering them. My friend gets her OWN coffee... ok, I figure, maybe the coffee is self-serve. But the boba? I ask, and after 20 minutes, nothing. After three times of him calling from the kitchen, "It's coming, relax" my friend (you know the PC "love not war" one) walks up and says, "hey can we get water, anything? How about her drink?" The guy comes out yelling that she can make it herself - he's busy in the kitchen, and starts to tell her how to make it. Then he says, if she wants him to make the boba she has to make her own omelet in the kitchen. WTF??? Are you a complete D-BAG or do you not know how idiotic that is, not to mention a health hazard. I go up and say, hey man, why don't YOU relax, I'm just asking for a drink I ordered 20 minutes ago. I'm not asking for the left half of the menu." He then tells us we can leave if we don't like it there. Uh. Ok. I'm cool with that... but my happy little friend wants to stay bc she's starving. After he continues bickering, I tell him, dude, not cool, and you should know better than to have a temper and insult your customers when they ask for their order rightfully. He tells us he served me first and if he hadn't done that he could have served my friend her omelet, but now he has to make her omelet, so do I want my drink or for her to get her omelet - I'm like, what language are you speaking you frantic little man?? He then says, "I'm only one guy." Then the ultimate, he says we're "bitching." YEAH. Bitching. You're damn right I'm bitching and you're lucky I don't choke your ass. These are my internal thoughts only ;) I told him, "We're only 2 people. No one else is here. If you can't handle two breakfasts maybe you need to hire someone to help you or find another line of business. In either case, the best thing you can do is to stop YOUR bitching and finish our order." Yes, I got to that level with him. This was a miserable meal and was not worth it even without the service problem. But no one should have to come out and pay for a meal they could make at home without all the misery - it started the entire day with a black cloud that I could have avoided, and is by far the worst service I have ever had in all of Los Angeles County in the last 20 years I've lived here. No, it's not an exaggeration - THE WORST. Do yourself a favor - do not patronize this place. This guy has no clue about how to run a restaurant or how to treat his customers and his "customer always wrong" attitude should get him closed. There are plenty of great restauranteurs out there busting their ass to make ends meet - they deserve your service a lot more, especially during this economy. read more

Never have I felt so wronged by yelp... How does this place have a four and half star rating? Like a yelper said below me the best part about this place was it's name. Second is the quirky and eclectic environment here. It's extremely asian with some modern twists. Lastly the food... Actually the food would repel me from coming here and the drinks as well. I don't really think I'm picky with food. I mean how do you mess up a meatball sandwich and chili cheese fries... By not making it fresh... Honestly I could have made it better and faster. I heard the owners talking about not being able to find the meatballs and offered to make me a turkey sandwich instead so I was like okay. But I guess they did find the meatballs because they brought me what I had originally ordered. There was effort in the presentation but not enough that it made up for lack of quality. I took one look at the sandwich and knew it would be too dry. I think the owner saw my discomfort and asked if I wanted more cheese but I declined. The meatballs were the frozen kind I'm sure because some parts of it were hard and for five dollars you get 3 meatballs in your sandwich. The chili cheese fries were also the frozen ones. It tasted better than the sandwich. I think they just get all their stuff from Costco and unfreeze it. The menu is pretty extensive but I rather have it be small and focused. It sounds to me like their breakfast stuff is better. Originally I thought this place was pretty clean but as my sister and I were eating fruit flies were joining us for our meals. Maybe I just ordered the wrong things. The drinks were whatever too icy and a bit on the bland side. 2 drinks, chilli cheese fries, and a meatball sub came out to 20 dollars. I would have been happier eating fast food honestly. I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately was put off by the food. The service was okay and they seemed friendly enough. Lots of high reviews on yelp. I really wanted to like this place, but I guess I wasn't lucky and had a poor experience when I went here around March this year. (I forgot to post this review back then, so the place may have changed in the last several months, not sure.) We got here, couldn't find a decent menu to look at. All the food items and prices were haphazardly placed on the walls. Really hard to figure out what they have available. Girl at the cashier was very disorganized and seemed distracted the whole time. While I was waiting to order she was on the phone yelling at someone rudely. There were only about 2 or 3 people here and I believe she mixed up every single one of our orders. It took about a half n hour to 40 minutes for our food and water cups, and I believe my order was swapped up with the couple next to us (we ordered similar items however i ordered an item with egg and there was no egg present on my plate and there was an egg on theirs..) and then a crepe we ordered for dessert was even handed to them instead of us as well. It also took the couple next to us a long time for them to get their side of fries. Teriyaki chicken was pretty decent. Crepe was really good though. Also while we were waiting a lady came in and ordered a large cold latte, but was instead given a hot latte. I couldn't hear exactly what was going on, but I definitely heard her arguing with the cashier and was pretty angry when she left. I think they remade the drink around 15- 20 minutes later but she had already gone. I don't know if it was the cashier's or customer's fault, but it was still quite a sight for the other customers in the restaurant. Like I said earlier, we haven't been here in a while and this review has been saved as a draft on my Yelp account for a long time.
