Yet another fantastic Calgary pizza place that I have to fight with myself not to eat at every day! Coco Brooks is a pizza making machine-factory-wonderland! They have a bajillion (bajillion = 40ish) kinds of pizzas that all come in one size. Personal! That said, a personal pizza at Coco Brooks is still a very good amount of food at a great value. I often attempt to break it up into two meals, eating two pieces now, and saving the last two for later. 20 minutes later, however, I'm staring at an empty pizza box thinking "Man, that was tasty!!" They've also got a good assortment of Salads, and healthier alternatives, that I've never had, mind you. But, it makes them a great choice if you need to buy food for a large group of people. They have a diverse enough menu to accommodate many different eating eating styles and dietary requirements. And since no one can ever agree on what type of pizza to order, with Coco Brooks, everyone gets there own! Coco Brooks has a lot of spirit, and a lot of personality. There are inspirational stories written on the lids of their boxes. I didn't know that I wanted to contemplate life and love while munching on a pizza...but as it turns out, I love the stories, and I leave feeling both full and happy.

This story is apt for the Christmas season..

Best personal sized pizzas in the city hands down! I've tried all the 8" personal size pizzas and have not a single complaint.

I was pleasantly surprised at their kids vegetarian pizza with a quinoa crust. It was an amazing pizza and didn't feel guilty at all :)

I love how the package comes with stories to inspire you or just to keep you company while out for a quick bite, my all time fave are ala mo wana, Italian and the banana slice.

They have a second location downtown but this one is located next door to Springbank Cheese. We dropped in on an early Tuesday evening (6:30pm) and the patio was busy. Service was good; our waitress checked in on us several times. The menu is small; antipasti, pizza, pasta, kids menu and dessert. Dishes are meant to be shared family style. - Fusilli ($20.00) - fusilli had a good al dente bite. Really enjoyed the lemon bits; added bright, acidic notes. Didn't notice much, if any, of a chili sauce hit. - Kale campanelle ($18.00) - the green olives were a brilliant addition. Never had that in a pasta dish before. The only two things we didn't like about the pasta dishes was that the portion sizes were too small. You won't get full on one. - Tearing me up ($19.00) - pizzas are a better portion but there wasn't much eggplant on it. Tasted more artichoke than eggplant. The spiciness comes from the chili oil. Standard flavours. - Mind your manner ($22.00) - not sure where the "wagyu" comes in; we couldn't tell the difference. The hot honey was an interesting addition. Added some sweetness but nothing over the top. AK was good, simple Italian fare but the portion size is somewhat lacking. 3.5 stars.

I had the artichoke fritters and panzanella salad and the flavours on the salad were so good. Enjoyed a glass of wine and the ambience then walked back to the Airbnb. Can't wait to go back and try the pizzas!
