I was never a real fan of this place when it was called Pizza Cottage and with this new ownership the first thing I noticed was how filthy this place is. In fact, I don't think that is has ever been cleaned. Ghetto banner with prices is haphazardly hung, along with pizza box sizes nailed to the wall, broken light fixtures, dirty cooler with random items and sauces inside, counter looked sticky and small things like the napkin holder had grime on it as well as the stools. Its halal for those who are interested but the place is so dirty at the front of the house, I couldn't imagine how bad it would be in the rear where the food prep happens. I've ordered pizza from here on several occasions because my kids really like their BBQ chicken pizza but as of late I've noticed scant toppings and on occasion I ended up with severe diarrhea from their pizza. Their menu is also too big and has items like samosas, sheesh kabab, pakoras, fries/poutine, fried chicken, onion rings, salads, pasta, wings...just too much random items that don't need to be on there. Stick to a couple of things that you can execute really well and forgo the odd east Indian extras that my guess are not made fresh and probably stored in the freezer. Seems like a really popular place for kids from the neighboring schools to grab a slice and the guys running the place are nice enough and the prices are ok, but man, its hit and miss and really dirty in there. Last visit I got onions instead of olives on my pizza which I did not want and I was overcharged and didn't notice till I got home. I basically had an auto gratuity added to the bill, not cool because I often tip small mom and pops and always try to support small business where I can. Getting nickle and dimed is enough reason for me to not go back...that and the sheer filth of the place 1 star. Deep clean the place, tidy up your menu and pricing and don't add unknown charges to the bill without telling your clients and I'll bump it up to a 3. read more

Ordered donair pizza, didn't taste right. I have had many donair pizzas and this one was terrible. Picked up my ordered and this place was looking very dirty. read more

$3 a slice, lots of cheese. Not familiar with the Calgary area, we were a couple from out of province, kind of lost while house hunting that just needed a quick lunch on the go. We were very satisfied with the pepperoni pizza. The slices are HUGE and my husband stated the person behind the counter was very nice. My only wish is that per slice, more pizzerias would carry veggie options. Veggie rocks and keeps that guilt meter down a bit when eating pizza!!! read more

After 4 years, not much has changed for this little shop in the top corner of the NW but that isn't a bad thing: the prices and pizzas are still amazing, however their selection of specialty pizzas has grown to include a few more ethnic flavours. The Chicken Tandoori pizza remains the best pizza this place has to offer with the delicious bites of chicken tandoori dotted with jalapeños and cheese combining to a make spicy-savoury flavour that you will find yourself craving more and more of. New additions like the Punjabi style is sure to leave an impression on the desi person inside of you. If you're not Desi, you will gain a new love or hate relationship with Ginger. Overall, the pizzas remain their strong point and the sides remain a work in progress - try and avoid if possible (though their new fried chicken is rather good but pricey). This strip in Pantella used to be barren but now boasts lots of vibrant shops and businesses, Pizza Cottage was one of the first and now it shines as one of the NW's brightest. The fact that they've been able to expand with 2 more locations in other parts of the city should really tell you something about the pies this place is dishing out. If you're looking for a quality pizza and a good value, it may be time to rethink all that you knew about pizzas: forget the Huts, the blue and red game pieces, and the undersized emperors, when you want pizza think "Cottage!", Pizza Cottage that is. read more

$2.99 for a slice? Seriously? Huzzah!! I popped in here at the end of the lunch hour. I was expecting a less than stellar slice as I figured they made them before the lunch rush. The pizza however seemed to be quite fresh. There was a nice crispy layer of cheese on top and the crust matched. My only complaint about this place was the service. The guy working treated me more as an interruption than a customer. I hadn't even finished paying when he wandered off to the back to go back to whatever it was he was doing when I arrived. read more

Amazing pizza when it's hot, but average when cold. Lunchtime is crazy with teens, because of its proximity to a school.

I loved going to this place and I never had any problems with it. They have friendly staff and cheap pizza. But this particular time I was eating a slice of meat lovers and I came across a price of hair stuck in the bread. I cut that piece off only to find several more pieces of hair! This is probably not the standard quality but I probably won't eat here for a while. At least until their cleanliness of their food improves. read more

I ate here twice after reading the reviews. Wanting to try something different I ordered tandori chicken. Also tried the breadsticks hearing how great they were. I was disappointed on both items. They were of ok size but lacking flavour. The second time I tried butter chicken pizza for one and donair for the other. I love dominoes donair pizza which is full of flavour, but was again dissatisfied on my pizza's. Perhaps it is my taste that is too demanding, but I enjoy a good amount of pizza sauce. To me its the biggest part of the flavour. The peppers were nice and fresh, but reviews telling of loads of cheese are vastly exaggerated. Overall, if you want to try some creative pizza ideas give this place a try. If you want good flavour go elsewhere. read more

We just went there just because . We never heard of this place but ended up loving their pizza .It was so cheesy and had perfect amount of sauce. Good sizes for Large and medium. They have other options beside pizza: cheese bread, chicken wings, garlic breads, pakoras , fried chicken etc. Bonus is that, they are halal and does delivery read more

Awesome tasting pizzas. You can do half n half which is a wicked deal to try different kinds. The cottage special is off the chain. Recommended! read more

Pizza Panorama - two pizzas in open boxes - Pizza Near Me - Calgary, Alberta

This place has the best and most amazing twisty bread sticks in town. I go there JUST for them. 11/10 on the "Tasty Bread" as they call it. Pizza wise, they are pretty darn big for the price for sure. That said, they are skimpy on the toppings, and their claim of "unlimited toppings" is a BIT sketchy because if you order 4 or 5 toppings you will find, for example, one mushroom per slice, hahah, that kinda thing. Of note, is that this business is "Halal" (Like the Muslim equivalent of "Kosher"). Who cares? Well, the thing is they advertise that they use no pork products, yet they list bacon, ham, pepperoni etc as toppings. LOL so I guess thats all fine, but please tell us what exactly this "Ham styled Halal Meat Product" is exactly. The "$2.99 Super Huge Slices" have been sitting under a heat lamp for hours or days, dont get them. For like $7 you can get a whole pizza made at this place anyway so whos in THAT big of a rush. The young ladies who work there are always super friendly, but the males are always abrupt, look at the floor when speaking to you, and dont say much. Not sure what to make of that, I guess you can decide! :) Happy Eating! read more

I really like the Punjabi style pizzas. They are signature for this place and differentiate it from other places. a very nice change of pace! read more

Great new pizza place in Panorama. We had the Hawaiian and the Chicken Tandoori. They both had a great crust and excellent sauce, and in this rare instance we didn't order extra sauce and didn't have to. They also didn't skimp on the cheese. The Chicken Tandoori had just the right amount of kick too, with the jalapeño's as a great touch. The prices were also really reasonable, very competitive with the delivery chains. If you are thinking of Pizza Hut, Panagos, or Little Caesars think again and order Pizza Cottage - you won't be dissappointed. read more

We tried their pizza tonight. We ordered the House Special. The service was very friendly, but the pizza is horrible. The flavor was not Italian at all. The crust was horrible too. I'd rather have frozen pizza. I wish I could leave a better review. We will not be going back. read more

Deluxe + black olive is my favourite also The Mediterranean pizza is cool if you like feta cheese. read more

I can safely say that I will not be back. After having ordered a pizza, the person I was with decided to order some ice cream. She must have dropped a quarter on the ground or something, because she didn't notice that he had scooped the wrong flavour for her. She didn't realize until she had licked it, and the guy scooped it off the cone and put it back in the freezer! After she had licked it! I'm not taking chances with my health like that. Who knows, the guy might've sneezed in the pizza for all I know! We didn't stick around to find out. read more

For the price the pizza is pretty good. The wings aren't that bad either but if you like super hot wings I wouldn't bother with these.

I went there tonight as we hadn't been there in a long time, but when we had, it was good. I ordered and paid cash for my pizza and was checking out the menu again to see what else they had. Two other customers came in after me and the employee (who I'll call Buddy) helped them, handling the cash register and debit machine. Buddy finished and walked into the cooler in the back and started to make my pizza. He finished and put it in the oven, and then started to play with the flour/cornmeal with his hands. I stopped him there and called both him and the other employee over. I explained to them that they should throw out the pizza that was in the oven, as it was contaminated BECAUSE BUDDY DIDN'T WASH HIS HANDS AFTER HANDLING CASH and the TILL. The employee looked at me stunned, as if I was speaking in a different language and the other employee said he would refund my money - which was done. Just a warning, if you don't see them make it, you might not want to take it. read more

Tried this place for the 1st time a few weeks ago and have already had it many times. This place is so good, their pizza is delicious not to mention the amount you get for you money is unbelievable. A massive piece is 2$.. And it's so good. So glad we found the pizza place we will be going to forever! read more

A great change from other pizza joints of the like(Dominos, Little Caesars etc). When they first opened in Panorama hills they were cheap and loaded the pizzas with tons of toppings. As time has progressed their prices increased and they've become less generous with the cheese and toppings. So I'm paying more than before and with less toppings? What world are you from pizza cottage. I gave it 3 stars because the place has lots of potential. I know what you're capable of read more

The pizza was great, but that is not what left the bad taste in my mouth. We called after going to the website and decided on two large specialty pizzas for $28.99. The charge on my card was $38 something (tipped cash) for the delivery order. If that is the delivery charge then almost $10 is quite a rip off. I will never order from the again! read more

This probably is one place I think about if craving for halal pizza. I like the buffalo chicken , chicken tandoori and pepperoni pizza. Their service is also very good. read more

We've order from here a few times. The pizza is decent for the price, but not the best out there. Last night we ordered an X-Large for the 4 of us, and within 6 hours we were all sick. Went to walk-in clinic today, and turns out we have salmonella poisoning. The pizza is the only thing we all ate together... read more

Favourite Pizza Place in the NW! Always good, reasonable prices, and the owners are really nice. Would highly recommend it :)
