Little Goat Farm at the Lake - One of the many lovely goats!!

Little Goat Farm at the Lake

The first part is: 1 bottle of milk per group for like 5 baby goats and 20-30 people. Then you can…read moreget 1 bottle of milk, which no goat really took. The portion of milk per group on the ticket is deceiving as many other reviews state. Hence losing 1 star. The second part is: you get to go in a pen with the donkey, lama, and a bunch of adult goats. They have tree stumps that you can sit on and have the goats climb on you to eat all the snacks. The best part is the whole experience that makes this way different then any other goat experience is that the goats and you have no fence no barrier and you are right there. And there are bunnies you can sit and pet but the goats are way better. And to add to other reviews, yes it is their personal house and farm but the experience can not be beat anywhere else.

What a magical place! I brought my 84 year old Mom to see the goats and she had such a good time…read morethat I brought my adult kids back with me. Marshmellow, the Llama, was a hit! My Mom sang to the donkey. There were little goats being born while we were there in the barn. The bunnies were the highlight of my kids' trip. I then went back for Goat Yoga. OMG!!! This made my year! I had a blast. Not sure how much yoga I got done because I was soooo focused on the friendly goats. My favs were Elsie and Fudge. Then I was talking to Susan, one of the owners, about flowers for my daughter's wedding - she was so sweet, she let me cut a bunch from her own garden and didn't even charge me! We need more folks in the world like Little Goat Farm at the Lake!

ENTRY FEE THEN EVERYTHING FREE!…read more Such a great time! Lots of things for kids of all ages to do and experience (mostly little kids around 11 and under). But even as adults we had an enjoyable experience. SLIDES Lots of fun slides and unlike other places - you don't have to pay each time to ride them! APPLES So many free apples and apple juice! Bring a jar of peanut butter and you've just fed your entire family! FRIENDLY STAFF These are the nicest kids around. Everyone is joyful and in the spirit of the season! Have fun!

A Unique (and Unconventional) Day at Cox Farms…read more If you're planning a trip to Cox Farms expecting traditional fall activities, be prepared for something a bit different! We took the family recently, and here's how it went: Unusual Themes: Forget pumpkins--the hayride features aliens, which definitely sparked some complaints from kids expecting to pick out pumpkins at a non existent pumpkin patch! The animals were tied up in very small spaces. Easy Navigation: The corn maze isn't really a maze; it's a clearly marked path, so no getting lost here. Crowds & Value: At $30 per ticket, it gets steep for a family. Because it was sold out, the lines for the slides were super long, and some attractions (like the rope swing) were pretty underwhelming ~ one swing and then jump ... are you kidding me? Recommend returning to what Farms do best; pumpkins patches, zip lines, sun flower fields, blow pumpkins out of cannons, pick apples ... be a farm plus reduce your prices to make it more affordable for families to visit.

After a few shots, our new friend and manager Jon K approached with friendly offers because he knew we were there to showcase how great this place was. We will love to come back any time. September 6, 2026. We were excited to finally see this private zoo. I had proposed the idea of…read moreseeing Nova Wild to my husband, who was elated to go & insisted on going as early as possible. I saw the zoo website a few years ago and put it on my to do list for this area. Despite some of the negative reviews we saw online, the reviews did no affect us at all. Yet I could see how the negative reviews can affect one's perception of the zoo. Tickets are $20 for adults. Children's tickets are less. Parking is free. We came to the zoo in the morning to avoid crowds and less heat from the sun. It is true that there are additional costs for food to feed the animals, rides on the camel, and to see the butterfly garden. The prices are fair though. The zoo is small yet clean, well maintained, and has many areas & animals to see. Some of the animals are shy & avoid onlookers, yet that happens in zoos. Restrooms are limited. I only saw restrooms near the entrance. When compared to the Smithsonian zoo, this zoo was less crowded and the customers had better etiquette. Nova Wild truly went beyond our greatest expectations. I saw all the animals I wanted to see there. Despite the shyness of some of the animals, most of them seemed happy. Some had good interactions with the people and children especially when it came to being fed by children or adults. There are many sitting areas throughout the zoo. The bench by the lake and willow trees is where I spent a lot of rest time at the zoo. Highlights in the Nova Wild Zoo: Clouded Leopard, Cheetah, Fennec Fox, Giant Ant Eater, the Flamingos, the Camels, African Tortoise, Owls, Emus, Cows, and Silver Cheeked Hornbill bird. There were others as well yet I didn't spend that much time around them. My favorite place and last place to explore in the zoo was the butterfly garden. There were many blue butterflies flying inside the enclosed garden as well as other types of butterflies. It was mesmerizing watching the butterflies. We spent the most time watching the butterflies. We skipped doing the drive through safari since the line was so long and it was getting too crowded at the end of the day. It was a quiet and peaceful experience at the Nova Wild Zoo. We look forward to visiting this place again.
