Incredibly rude and unreliable. I was helping a friend who did business with this firm for years…read morebut had fallen behind due to family tragedies. This firm could not have cared less or been more unhelpful. They were constantly rude and condescending in emails and when you matched their attitude they cried victim. They are massively disrespectful and think you should just take their attitude and smile. They don't answer questions and on the off chance they do are very rude. Just all around rude nasty people. I don't think they know tax law either. Probably why they don't like answering questions because they don't know the answer and if they are rude enough hope you don't notice they don't know.

I had a really unfortunate experience with the owner (Dennis himself) and one of the secretaries…read more. I went here because I needed help and told him times were tight and I needed to get caught up on a few years, but there was very little paperwork involved.. Mr dennis told me he would help me and was initially very kind, inviting me in his office. My ex girlfriend had worked there for years and she referred me. She was hoping they would help me but I later found out they mistreated her as well (while pregnant) He gave me a very reasonable quote for getting me caught up .. I explained that I had 2 uncles die of covid and we were struggling to raise money for our family. I was later informed by a secretary that I owed a large sum and it was only going to cover one year (for which there was going to be no return because it was so late.. ) It was very upsetting and I told her to tear it up and that I would have to bring my business elsewhere I would have never agreed to $2000 dollars for what would have amounted to a half hour of paper work She called me unethical and said they would do the one year for free (in a very condescending tone). She said and I quote, "we will tear up your check and to consider this one year of a return a gift from us" The disagreement was upsetting but I was relieved and grateful at the same time. I later got a bill in the mail My friend later told me that after giving these folks blood sweat and tears they pulled a similar stunt on her. I guess this is how the rich stay rich. The guy has a shiny 120 thousand dollar car out front in a very working class neighborhood where many of us are struggling to get through these hard times. I don't understand why they wouldn't have just sent me somewhere else. They offer to do the one year free, then send me a bill after all .

I truly have no words for the service we got (but also I won't shut up about it bc if I can save someone else the hassle, I will). We hired a CPA this year bc of some issues with our state tax withholding due to moving across states. 1) From the get go, I felt funny about them because I knew there were certain info that would be needed (but they didn't take it even when I offered). Due to a HR mishap with my job, my state taxes were taken from NY (and not from MA). They never asked for more specific info (pay stubs for example) to rectify the taxes. I repeatedly asked the person assigned to us to reiterate the issue to us so that we knew she understood what needed to be fixed, and she couldn't. But they have such good reviews, so I should trust the right?! 2) Due to the move, my husband had two W-2's- one from NY and one from MA. We accidentally forgot to upload the NY W-2 (that's on us). BUT instead of asking for it, they counted the MA W-2 for NY as well. The outcome was that we now owe thousands in taxes due to the income being counted twice! 3) AND FOR THE CHERRY ON TOP- THEY FILED WITHOUT OUR CONSENT. The wrong version, where we owe thousands. And then didn't tell us. We only found out bc we got a letter from the IRS. And then they took their sweet time responding to us about amending, not that we trust them to even do the amendment correctly. And when we requested a refund, they refused and instead offered money off our next service- AS IF. We had to file fraud via our credit card and point out that what they did was ILLEGAL to get our money back.

Scott White's office has saved me so many times in the last few years. I moved to NYC and kept a…read moreproperty in Boston back in 2013. My taxes were complicated to say the least. Scott and his associates Ross and Rob took their time to make sure my taxes were done right every time. Fast forward a couple years and I went to a VERY well known tax company to do my taxes in NYC, figuring since it was where I lived now I should try to find an accountant there. They completely butchered my taxes to the point where I (who knows nothing about taxes) even knew something was wrong. Had I not gone back to Ross at Scott White I would've been audited up the wazoo. They not only completely redid and fixed my return, they gave me advice on how to get my money back from the other company who did such a negligent job. I again this year tried to find an accountant in NY (to save them from having to deal with my annoying taxes). 5 days before the tax deadline (today! ha!) that accountant told me my taxes were too complicated and he no longer wanted to work with me. As you could imagine, Scott, Ross and Rob were at the peak of tax season absolute craziness and STILL agreed to help me, take on my return, AND get it filed in time. You can't get a more honest group of guys who work their butts off to help you and get you the best return. I highly recommend this company.

I needed a new accountant and tax preparer and after extensive reviews of CPAs, I met with Scott…read morefor an initial consultation. Shortly thereafter Scott and his protege completed my return. I am extremely pleased with the service provided.
