In the past I have outfitted my home and family from this store, but my visits lately have become…read morea waste of time. The store is messy and un-organized, and the prices have become very inflated. Merchandise that is sold in the Dollar Store is marked up double and triple. Men's clothing that I looked at today , none of it new, ranged from ten dollars up, including a sweater with a dime -size hole over the heart with a price tag of 16.99. Recently I overheard an exchange between staff and a gentlemen who paid for furniture (over a hundred dollars) and when he returned to pick it up, found out that it had been sold again to someone else. He was told he'd have to apply to higher ups (at the administrative level) and wait for about a month for a refund. The staff person was not the least bit apologetic and because the man became distraught, began to yell at him. In addition, I have been treated rudely at the drop-off on more than one occasion. Just who do these people think they are!

Yes the prices have gone up, like most places but some priced items are just laughable. THey have cut back too on other things like no bags, cut the discount for veterans and more. THey also on some items cut out the barcode so buyers can not scan the item to see what the value is on comps on the internet. Also even just trying to donate items is a hassle. The staff can be surley and unfriendly and also picky as to what they take, even if it allowable per their online donating policy. I stopped donating here and now donate to other local charity shops (like Marion Gerish in Derry). Only just rare occasions I can find something here that I can use that is a good value. Also outside in the parking area is alot of trash which is not welcoming and not a good impression.

Sure, there was a pair of Lily Pulitzer shoes, but I don't know if that even qualifies. The thing that really gets me is the fake crap. Fake Prada and Burberry bags are proudly displayed and sold. Not only illegal, fake designer stuff is usually manufactured by some sketchy people. The shop also sells an assortment of sanrio candy and small toys. So the store is bizarre in that aspect as well. Not a fan. I think the owner was at the desk the first time I went in, and was entirely too wrapped up in her phone call to greet me. The ladies are so wonderful. Walking into this tiny shop is like walking into your grandmother's living room. The ladies are helpful and pleasant. But they leave you to shop. Not that you can go far! The knick knacks and costume jewelry are the highlight of NATS. THE BAD: The clothes are dated, and I think most are donated by those aforementioned lovely old ladies themselves. THE UGLY: Not accessible. Closed in the summer. Stop by. Sit and chat for a while with the ladies. Buy some tchotchkes. Feel the love.
