Waited a month and no response - they do not stand behind their work product. The contractors response presents a incorrect picture of any interactions we had. I was never told the area needed to be repaved, in fact I was told they could fix it. The contractor never agreed to come out and fix cracks, but did agree to come out and look at the issues. The original review on Thumbtack was posted on Sept 10, 2025, so after 7 weeks, I think I have been extremely patient. Trying to blame the customer for contractor unresponsiveness should be a warning sign to all

The quality of their work really stands out--our asphalt looks smooth, clean, and built to last. They took the time to explain the process, answered every question, and made sure we were completely satisfied before wrapping up. What impressed me most was their attention to detail and the pride they take in their craftsmanship. It's rare to find a company that combines great communication, fair pricing, and top-tier workmanship, but Belchers Asphalt does exactly that. Very professional with good prices and an amazing product. The completely fabricated system built, painted and installed was cheaper than materials alone for some of the other estimates I got. The railings look fantastica and couldn't be any sturdier. The craftmanship is phenomenal. They fabricated and installed 188 linear feet of railings for my house and it's clear that attention to detail and thoughtfulness was put into every inch. The more I look the more I notice things like filed or ground edges on the top rail so there are no sharp corners, welds that were ground down to reduce any rises that would keep the powder coating from being even and of course it's all perfectly plum and straight. They installed the railings in two days and for the amount of railing that seems super fast to me.

Rather than mill up their mistake and resurface the drive correctly, Slonaker's poorly patched up the mess. Now, almost three years later, it looks terrible. New cracks emerge all the time. Other contractors estimate that the $5,130 Slonaker paving job is going to cost us up to $25,000 to fix. I cannot recommend Slonaker. Addendum: The owner has replied to my initial review and fabricated details about a tree being the cause for cracks. This is inaccurate, and certainly would not account for asphalt cracking all over the driveway, or the uncured "goo" in several locations on the drive. Plus, the job was under warranty, as per the contract. As for his crew spilling sealant all over the street in front of my neighbor's home, I'm surprised he admitted to it. I had not even mentioned that episode in an effort to keep my review focused on the major issue. But my neighbor was furious, and the incident is another example of Slonaker's bungling. The crew, who arrived six hours late, decided that hosing down the spilled sealant with water, which flowed into, and fouled, Craig's Run, was the ideal way to deal with the situation. We are very disappointed. We stand by my original conclusion: we cannot recommend Slonaker's.

I feel they should have covered both fees in the initial quote.
