We chose Bella's, and I think we will certainly be back! The tables and chairs are kind of mis matched, and make the space super cozy. The menu leans to lunch fare - sandwiches, salads, soup, dessert, but that is pretty much what we were looking for! We started with a really refreshing strawberry lemonade, that was fresh mixed and had strawberry puree in it. We each had 2, which is a bit of an indulgence, but it was so good! For my lunch, I had the Rachel and a cup of potato corn chowder. The soup came out in a literal coffee mug, which was pretty adorable. It was very good, big chunks of potato and plenty of corn. And I always love a good Rachel. This was a great portion size (I actually ate the second half the next day, reheated), and good amounts of the coleslaw versus turkey. We also split an order of fries, which were like fair fries. Fair fries are my favorite, so I'm glad we got them! Finally, we split a sugar cookie, which was shaped like a balloon since Ashland is known for the hot air balloon festival! So cute and it was really good, with butter cream frosting. I think Tulipan's take on the Dobos torte was probably the least authentic of the three, but it was not a bad cake. I've seen it with more layers and a caramel top. This one had four layers (still impressive and a pain in the arse to make I'm sure!) and no caramel. This bakery is very cute and the service is very friendly. My son also asked for some macarons, which he seemed to like, but he couldn't finish them because he said he was full. We were there around 12:30 PM and I think most of the items were fairly picked over in the bakery case by that time. There was an interesting raspberry thing that I wanted to try, but the person in line right before me bought the last one. The baklava looked temping too. I am pretty proud of myself for not buying too many sweets. I would return here if I were in the area and try some different items.

Pump and Grind is the kind of place you might miss while driving by, but it is incredibly quaint and cute inside. The service we received was fabulous. They offer both to-go ordering and dine-in service with a great selection of breakfast and lunch items. I ordered a breakfast sandwich, and I was impressed that they use real bacon and eggs rather than the pre-made, microwaved options you find at many other places. My raspberry cheesecake latte was also delicious--I only wish I had ordered a larger one. I will definitely be going back soon and highly recommend checking it out if you are in the area.
