They had to bring the vehicle from Somerset to Glasgow for us, saving us a 90+ mile drive. I waited until one year passed to post a review (11/2025). We just had the 15k service completed earlier this week. Services so far have been priced fair and all indications the job was done well. The speed at which the service is completed is great; very quick turn around. But the availability of scheduling short-notice is fantastic. A previous Nissan we owned and had serviced at another dealer (we live out of town from this dealership) was at least booked ten days out! I have been telling everyone how great Don Franklin is to work with. One of our sons bought a pre-owned Ram from here June of 2024, similar experience. Definitely five stars.

I've been given the run around for almost 2 years...nothing. There's a reason they want the ins payment for repair up front, they're thieves. They kept my vehicle for six months. I had damages on my vehicle that were not there when I dropped it off(window and doors not properly working and not to mention still didn't fix parking light that was part of the paid damage and repair from ins)IF they did $2000 worth of repair would be a stretch. They issued me a loner car for maybe 2 months (of the 6 that they had my car in their shop) and I had to use 3 AAA services on it. Yes, they were accommodating in that aspect and didn't charge me $500 deductible but NEVER said anything about forfeiting repairs to offset the deductible( apparently my $7000+ was used to repair everybody else's vehicle in shop because I'm a POC? Where's the other $5000?) They drove my vehicle too and even had their names programmed in my Bluetooth list‍. Just do not go here. I'm not even sure that they are ASE certified.I've tried multiple times to get my vehicle fixed. Multiple times "something came up" and they couldn't keep the appointment. I even took off work a couple times and they still found a way to not be there(roof repair because of storm?) At one point Chris told me I had a toll bill that needed to be paid first. I said fine, send me an itemized bill and I'll pay it just so I can get my car fixed(at this point I'm convinced they're crooks or druggies‍)Nothing!!! I've requested itemized bill of actual repairs and supplies done!! Nothing!!!!Maybe now they will answer and unblock/accept my phone calls.

Driving from Indiana on our way to Florida for spring break, a series of dash lights and acceleration issues had us searching for a mechanic in a more urgent way. Greer Auto Service has totally given new life to my beloved VW Jetta. she is a 2000, V-6 that has…read moreperformed well over the years, minus a few issues thanks to the owner (oops). However, over the past few months I had begun to experience difficulty with the A/C system...would occasionally work though more often not. I was worried about the cost of diagnostic procedures, and once the problem was located, about the cost of repairs. After taking the car to another shop, the freon pressure was deemed appropriate but their options/ideas were stifled at that point. They did suggest taking the car down to Greer's for further evaluation; thus, we were off... The guys at Greer's were able to rule out the expensive fixes (much to my delight) and narrowed the problem down to 2 separate components, each dealing with the electrical system. We opted to go with the least expensive option first, they ordered the part, it showed up on time and had my car fixed in less than an hour. Best part: I HAVE AIR CONDITIONING AGAIN!!!!! And yes, that last statement is extremely important as I will be driving back to Austin Texas in the upcoming months in the evil heat. I am now able to ride in comfortable style :-) Best of all, total cost was $109.05 for both part and labor. Not bad considering past repair bills for the VW. Ouch. So thank you, Greer's Auto Service, for allowing more happy time with my car and for not taking all the money i had (which wasn't much, but happy to have some left over, hehe)! Other notes: the shop was clean, inviting, personnel were extremely helpful, answering all questions I had and even pointing out things on the engine to further demonstrate what they were talking about. My 20 year old son took his car to Musser automotive because his car would randomly start reving…read morethe RPMS up and down out of no where! We had already figured out that something within the alternator clip, an electrical short or intermittent connection was causing or at the very least contributing to this problem! I instructed my son to make sure musser was aware of this before they worked on his car! They changed the map sensor, and other components in the car and told him that this would fix the problem! After he got his car back I asked if they addressed the alternator connector issue and he informed me that they didn't have to. The problem wasn't that.... Fast forward six months, and the problem is back! No problem you might say, musser offers a warranty and guarantees their work?? My son takes his car back to musser, while it's still under warranty, and they diagnose it, after my son insists on showing them the issue with the alternator connector. Jason's response was "that's just a coincidence". The next day they call and inform my son that that was in fact what was wrong with the car. Then proceeded to tell him how much they were going to charge him for the fix... that's when I stepped in and asked about the warrenty and their work being guaranteed... I was told they would get back to me... yet the next day by 1pm we still hadn't heard anything! Drove up there to talk to Jason because he said we needed to talk to him face to face, yet when we get there he's "gone to the doctor". We ultimately decided to take the car somewhere else because at this point I just don't trust them to do the right thing! I was never expecting them to pay for the parts, but I was most definitely not expecting them to try and make money off the parts, charge a $75 fee for absolutely nothing, and charge for labor, after throwing a bunch of parts at a problem that they misdiagnosed, and was too arrogant and prideful to listen to what my son had already told them!! I'll never take another car to musser automotive, and if you're smart, you won't either!! I work for General Motors, and know a thing or two about cars, however, I never told my son to go in and demand anything be fixed a certain way. Just told him to make sure they were aware of this so that it could be corrected too!! $1200 down the hole for the first repair that fixed nothing..... unless you've got money to blow, find a different mechanic that actually knows what they're doing, and doesn't do guess work! Edit: No tantrum was thrown! I picked up the phone after Jason quoted my son a price to RE-fix his car after throwing parts at the car the first time that were unnecessary, and ask if they really ran their business like this? He guarantees his work, parts, diagnostics, labor. Well the diagnostic was incorrect, and had he listened, and simply tested the alternator connection, none of the other parts and labor would have happened.... Never once did I say I expected Jason to eat all the cost! But you can bet your hind end I expected them the cover the labor, and eat their $75 garage maintenance fee or whatever the crap they call it! Bottom line, Jason had an attitude with my son because I refuse to let a mechanic take advantage of a 20 year old kid, that would rather pay the money than to be even the slightest bit confrontational! But I'll gladly pay a mechanic, who knows what their doing and will honor their promises, twice the money that I will someone who refuses to admit they messed up and try to honor what they originally promised! Re-edit- I appreciate you not charging us for something we already diagnosed and told you about when he initially brought the vehicle in!! You have a good day sir!
