It was a glorious day with Ryan on the water!…read more We made the last minute decision to try to get private lessons for our 4 kids. I ended up texting the number and they got back us right away. They organized Ryan quickly and it was less expensive than most of the other surf schools. Every child got up on the waves! They had a blast. Ryan was a terrific instructor. I couldn't rate higher. My daughter had a great time! We first went 2 years ago and she was matched with Billy, a sweet pony. This year she was matched with Ranger, a horse who once used to barrel race. I'm not sure what that means but my daughter was excited to tell me this every day. So grateful I randomly discovered Lazy H years ago and looking forward to bringing my daughter and son (he will finally be old enough) next year. Thank you Breen and Emma!

He asked a few questions about our experience, and instantly had just the perfect horses in mind for the both of us. We got to brush the horses before heading into the riding arena. Now my Kindergarten student attends a weekly pod at the Coastside Moss Beach location and we are really happy to be sending her. The location--Fitzgerald Marine Reserve and the neighboring forest--is spectacular, and I am constantly being surprised at the random nature knowledge she casually spits out. They visit the tidepools whenever the tides allow, make secret hideouts in the trees, make dams in the sand, etc. I wish I could go to forest school!

We were paired with two beautiful horses, including an enormous draft horse named Buck. Kim, the trainer, was warm, welcoming, and clearly loves her horses. She guided us through the foothills and into cool forest trails, where we even stopped to visit other horses along the way. Ashley the 2nd trainer joined us on the ride, and she was kind, supportive, and helped make the experience even more enjoyable. The entire afternoon far exceeded my expectations.
