She immediately backtracked with, "No, no, that's not what I meant..." but I still never really understood what she was trying to communicate. What bothered me most was that I didn't see her treating the other customers that way. I spoke with the manager before leaving, and she said she would address it, which I appreciated. There are plenty of other souvenir shops on the island where I can browse without feeling like I'm being monitored.
