May 16-18, 2025: We used Coastal Waves to rent this stunning beach house for a weekend. Everything was perfectly in order, beautifully decorated, and very clean. We enjoyed the space of the accommodations. 4 bedrooms (2 with king beds, 1 with 5 twin bunkbed style, and 1 with a queen, a twin bunk bed, and a twin single over the queen - see photos for detail), all with their own bathroom (mix of bathtubs and walk in showers), a large living area with plenty of seating for multiple guests, an open concept galley style kitchen with tons of cabinet space for groceries, a full-size washer and dryer, a half bath on the main floor, a large dining table that seats 12, and balconies a plenty! 2 on the second floor and 2 on the third floor. Each balcony has adequate seating for everyone. The pool was refreshing and the view of the mini lake with fountain made it a perfect oasis. The covered patio off the pool was equipped with an outdoor shower for rinsing off the chlorine or sand if you decide to make the short walk to the foot bridge to play on the beach. They also had pool noodles and a kids table with little chairs. The backyard is fully fenced in which is nice for privacy and children to safely play. We were able to fit one car in the garage area. There are 2 garages, but one was locked. It was probably for owner use only. We had excellent service from Coastal Waves. We were given explicit instruction for care of the home. Check out time was 11:00 am which was an hour longer than other rentals I have stay in around this area. We had a couple issues with the door locks. We couldn't get the house key out of the lock box, so the rental company had to come help us. They were very nice to assist. We also had trouble locking the doors. We were told they were hurricane type doors, and you had to lift them up to lock them. We tried and even our strong men in the group tried, but we were all unsuccessful. The only thing they need to change is the sheets. The sheets were of very low thread count. Everyone in our group mentioned they felt rough, and the material had balled up over multiple washing, I'm sure. That is truly the only thing I would recommend. Everything else was more than perfect, so that is why I am giving the company a full 5 stars. I would highly recommend this company, and I will rent with them again. read more

I was stuck in the Middle East for work and all flights were cancelled due to the current situation in Iraq. I tried to cancel 3 weeks in advance explaining the situation. My Cancellation was Rejected. So I paid for 3 weekday nights and lost it. I would not book with this group again. Anything that comes up and you can't make it you're out of luck ! This practice is extremely weak as things happen out of people's control. BEWARE booking with this group !!! read more

I would select '0' if I could. We arrived to an uncleaned unit and were asked to leave for almost 2 hours while they had someone come out to clean but I spoke with Ian who apologized and said they would refund half the night due to the inconvenience. However, they only gave us (4) towels to shower with even though we have (6) guests registered and when we pulled the comforter down to go to sleep later that night ... there were black spots of dirt or something on the sheets. Not ok. There are gnats everywhere, to the extent we had to go out last night and purchase traps. One of the strips in the master bathroom has over 30 gnats stuck to it and they are still covering the mirror. The AC unit showed it was on 75 degrees when we first arrived so I turned it down to 70 degrees as suggested on the paperwork. Last night, it went up to 76 degrees while we were trying to sleep. We turned it to 72 degrees this morning thinking it needed a little more time to cool off, but now it is showing 79 degrees inside ... so I called Ian again to ask for someone to come fix the AC and please bring us towels so we don't have to share after showering. Those requests brought out a different side of Ian who made commentary that the guests usually freeze out the a/c unit and we would need to turn it off for two hours and then see if that corrects the issue; otherwise they will charge us for the service trip! When I said, they shouldn't be charging us; he was extremely RUDE as he said ... like I explained they'll only charge you if we have them service it now and made another snide remark that the guests are the one who freeze out the unit - even though we have been without A/C during our entire stay so far. When I asked him why there was a difference in customer service from yesterday to today; he stated: well, what would you say the difference is between your attitude before yesterday and today; then proceeded to HANG UP on me when I asked to speak with his boss saying he was the boss and didn't report to anyone just like I don't ... Im not sure he realized, I had answered on speakerphone so my mother and husband were completely in shock on how he was speaking to me. I was even making jokes on not wanting to share a towel with my husband when I had to call again earlier because guess what ... I didn't want to spend my family vacation having to ask for our condo to be cleaned, having to ask for enough towels based on our guest count, having to reduce their bug problem (that I didn't even tell them about because I was more focused on getting A/C for my mother and 6 year old), not sleeping on what I'm telling myself were stains and not still dirty sheets (surely they wouldn't only have remade the bed without replacing the sheets) .... I will never give this place a referral and this has to be the absolute worst place we have ever stayed out through all of our trips on Expedia/VRBO/Hotels.com. read more

Terrible service and rentals are not up to par. AC was out and there was no number to call to get it fixed.

Horrible experience. Place had roaches, mold, various bugs. Tried to work out with property management, was told I was a liar. They hung up on another person we stayed with. Terrible communication. Tried for weeks to get this resolved. Very poor accommodation. Do not book with these people, they do not care about your safety and the cleanliness of their homes. They only care about your money. Look elsewhere if you expect a clean house and good customer service. Company is run by rude, unprofessional people and the house was disgusting. read more

The lady owner is people oriented but her workers aren't . It's hard to find good workers because they don't have any investment in the company just a paycheck to them . I hope she finds better workers read more

I agree with many of the comments already posted. We paid $2,800 for 1 week at Pointe West. Toilet in master plugged every time used. There was a plunger there (wonder why?)? It was one of those really hard ones that you just couldn't make work. 3 Requests for a plunger or fix toilet and absolutely no response. Had hundreds of drain flies in kitchen and bathrooms. Didn't bother to report as we had no success with getting response on toilet. Went to hardware and bought some traps ourself which helped but didn't cure the problem. The drains need treating - not the job of the vacationers ! Someone posted on here that they told them all they do is collect the money ! Well, I agree with that statement. They are not in the hospitality business. They are in the $$$ business. I wish I had seen these comments before I used their services. There are other reputable property management services on the island - we've used them. And we've never had one simply not respond to issues. we booked a rental several months in advance of 4th of july they charged us for the rental and several days before they charged the balance. they then called late afternoon before our rental check in to let us know there would be no internet and after talking to then learned there would also be no tv as well. i told them that i needed to talk to my wife to see if we wanted to cancel the rental and they said i could not cancel. i talked to my wife and let them know we still wanted the rental and they emailed me the night before our check in and canceled the rental and this is on 4th of july weekend we rented this house to spend a long weekend with our military son before he leaves for germany for 3 years and this is the way they treatr customers. the condisending guy who answered the phone finally after hours couldn'y understand why i was so upset. this is not the way to treat customers read more

Rented 4 chairs, sunshade, 2 tables and 2 boogie boards from 9am -11am. Got to the beach at 9 and nothing was set up and nobody out there setting up. I walk to Coastal Waves rental office and Chris the operational manager was working. He swwmed put out to have to answer any questions and said "we just take the money" had no resolve for the situation and acted mad I was even bothering him. We did not know who to contact or what to do. His onky thing was "they should be out there" .. well they arent so??? Our 9:00 rental stuff didnt get put up until after 930 with no discount. However the actual 3rd party provider was apologetic and kind about the situation. People run late. We understand that. But Chris with Coastal Waves was so rude and put out to have to help anyone and maybe just really burned out or just having a bad fay. We would rather do without than deal with him. Do yourself a favor and rent from someone else or bring your own stuff. Because if what you paid for doesnt show up he will tell you "I just take the money' and leave you to figure it out read more

CWV is the best company to rent with. I got the most competitive rates to rent Lazy dog Escape. I was there last summer. The house was clean and meticulous. It has beach front view. The checking was easy and check out was breeze. CWV has ample number of houses to choose from. I will use them again next summer read more

In January we reserved a beach house, paid the second payment in mid June and received check-in instructions four days before check-in in July. Two days before check-in we learned our house was not available due to "storm damage," and we were offered another house which didn't even sleep our entire party. We drove by the original house and found a renovation underway. Although we were able to find another house at the last minute through another rental agency, and CW did give us a full refund, it seemed like a bait & switch and we would not patronize their rental agency again. read more
