She had to get them on again because she decided not to wear her retainer and her teeth shifted. Both experiences were great! She mainly saw Dr. Voorhees who is excellent but on the occasions where she saw a different doctor, she thought they were really great too. They are wonderful about explaining everything and giving you an accurate timeline for treatment. The entire staff is genuinely nice and they try to do everything to accommodate your appointment requests. The phone receptionist actually stayed on the phone with me for almost ten minutes once trying to reschedule my daughter's last appointment. We wanted to get her braces off in time for senior portraits. Not once was she annoyed at the request, she was so patient and checked all their offices for an open appointment. The best part is they are great at handling appointment times. We've never had to wait more than 5 or 10 minutes to be seen. I don't think we've had a better experience at any doctor's office anywhere, and I have already recommended them to several friends.

They are one of the few providers in the area that still use Tricare in-network which is HUGE! It's so simple to find a payment schedule that fits you! I was able to pick my down payment, how much I could pay a month, and they made it happen! We had a 4:00 appointment for just a simple consult and an hour later my daughter walked out of there with braces! It was unreal. Fast forward to the next day and I had some questions about the payment plan. I called Sharon and she was unable to see my contract, so she FaceTimed me right then and there so we could compare screens! But it gets even better! One of my daughters bands came loose and I had a hard time putting it back on. Dr. Behl FaceTimed me at 8:00pm from his HOME to help me! And when we still couldn't get it he told me to stop by the next day to his other office after work, even though it would've been after hours. They also provide the kids with a really cool rewards program for good grades, good brushing, no breakage, etc. I work in the medical field and I have NEVER come across a practice that goes so far above and beyond to make you feel like you're they're #1 patient. I just can't say enough great things about Dr. Behl and his staff.

Our initial consultation was at their primary First Colonial office. Subsequent visits their satellite practice off Pleasure House Rd in Virginia Beach only open on Wednesdays. My son received a full dental exam. The result an overbite and a few teeth needed to drop. A 4D machine was used which was pretty cool. This same machine also is used to craft the Invisalign trays. For those not familiar with Invisalign treatment it compares to traditional braces. The big difference is the correction trays are removed to eat. Other than that they remain in the mouth. Dr. Visser estimated my son would need treatment for up to 18 months. Traditional braces would have been similar. The price is also similar and it's steep either way. The Invisalign treatment is recommended for older teens and young adults. There is more work with them, but also flexibility with removal. For those that wish to break up the bill they offer a payment plans interest free. Most could never afford braces otherwise. The office sees both pediatric and adult patients.
