When I entered, I was immediately greeted by the friendliest staff member. I asked a few questions and was given a lovely introduction to the tea and kava culture. Flavors were offered but I went for it straight. I was expecting a hot drink but this one was served very cold. If you've ever taken diatomaceous earth as a supplement, kava tastes exactly like that. I am so grateful the server cautioned me that my mouth might feel numb because I experienced that within minutes. Unfortunately I couldn't stay too long but I loved the chill atmosphere and welcoming vibes inside Green Turtle. It seemed like many regular patrons hang there. I definitely felt relaxed for a few hours after having kava. It was a very pleasant feeling. Whether this was true or a placebo effect, who knows!
