My friend and I were walking towards the skytrain when we spied upon this place and popped in. I have heard about it and followed its IG though I didn't pay attention to its location then. My friend was enthralled by the fossils and stones. I was quite overwhelmed by the shop. It has lots of things and the space is huge. I like crystals as I use them for healing purposes. Plus they are pretty. I love the wide array of crystals and gem stones. I did buy some for myself and other friends who are into crystals too. I think the prices are quite fair. Now I know of another place to get crystals.

The energy, if you believe in that sort of thing, is absolutely amazing, and you know it's because of the intent the owner puts into the crystals he sells. Though I had…read morepassed the shop often during early-morning Mall walks, and admired the window displays, I had never been inside to truly get a 'real' look at the offerings. I changed that recently, and planned a visit when I knew the shop would be open, and I could get inside and see some of offerings in-person. I finally met Nadia, my host for the 'event'. Her much-enjoyed, and appreciated very personal attention and service provided such a friendly, interesting, and rewarding introduction to my first time browsing and shopping there. She removed all items from the window displays that I pointed out as being so admired on my stop-by walks. And placed them on the service counter for me to really see, feel, and "experience". Yeah, I finally got to see them up close and personal, and 'wow', sure liked what I saw., and learned about them. I left pleased, and very happy I had finally been inside Rudolf's Crystal -- my stop and shop truly was a 'visit', and such a delightful experience. We were all touching things but the rest of us, including other customers were never approached. My friend was going to buy her 10 year old some of the jewelry so she was trying to find ring and her daughter was told not to touch them because it drives the sales lady crazy. Her daughter was being respectful in how she was handling things and was with adults. She was sooo rude, so much so that we left. We will not be returning to this store.

I was looking for blue fire/flame labradorite pendants, and I looked everywhere but couldn't find anything remotely suitable under $100. Upon walking into Beadworks, there was a display of crystal pendants, and they had a few Labradorites for $22! I quickly grabbed one, when a staff showed me a nearby dish on a display with more similar pendants. I found a gorgeous square briolette labradorite pendant for $32! There are tons of gorgeous, handmade pieces in their front window, I asked and was surprised at their reasonable prices. I asked the staff about silver bails, requesting sterling silver, and then showed me a square bin of many, for $4 each. I left with 2 stunning pendants and a couple of bails for $50, half the price of 1 single pendant in nearby shops. Service was helpful and friendly, despite being VERY busy on a sunny Sunday Labour Day weekend. I've since bought a raw ruby pendant, more findings, so this is now my go-to for new pendants and supplies from now. I cannot recommend their selection, prices or service levels, highly enough!

I explained why I'd come in and handed over my loot. The staff member ran some quick tests on the jewellery to make sure it was real and check out the quality. He explained what he was doing through each step and it was actually all pretty interesting. Since all of the pieces I brought in were gifts, I wasn't really sure how much any of it was worth. I was so excited when I found out it was just over $500 that had been sitting in my drawer this whole time. Apparently gold prices have been really good lately (so the employee informed me) -- win! As he started writing me a cheque, I noticed they were selling some nice jewelry in the store, too. I ended up finding a beautiful pair of diamond studs for my mom's birthday!
