I initially saw Dr. Yasmeen Kabir in the Carpinteria office, who flagged a possible basal cell carcinoma on my lip that my previous dermatologist overlooked. It was biopsied and her assessment was correct. Dr. Sean Condon, who works in the Santa Barbara one day a week, performed the Mohs surgery on my lip. He's not only an excellent surgeon, he's warm, compassionate and encouraging. He anticipated my concerns about my facial scars, and immediately after the surgery explained the course of treatment that would allow everything to heal with minimal scarring. He also respects his patients' time and spaces appointments so that he has time for adequate explanations and support and still runs on time. The nursing team and schedulers are helpful, friendly and efficient. It's a great advantage to have a team of world class dermatologists in Carpinteria and Santa Barbara.

I was struggling with intense breakouts + trying to be proactive about anti-aging. This resulted in getting stuck in a Sephora hamster wheel, completely trapped into trying new products only to find that my acne was getting worse and "clean" anti-aging products began giving me dark spots around my eyes. I tried more and more products, diet changes, supplements, everything... hoping to find a solution. It felt completely hopeless. At start of quarantine, my skin began breaking out like never before. Cystic pimples that were painful, embarrassing, and to be hones completely consuming. I tried everything and my skin seemed to only be getting worse. I'd spent hours researching ingredients in products + skin care, and continued to be let down. I had suffered from acne for years and after around 6-7 sets of her facials along with using her products religiously and eating clean as she advised, my skin completely cleared up. I still have some marks and scars from old breakouts but have seen improvements in those as well.
