I called this company for a dryer repair. "Mark" was very helpful and suggested it might be a Vent issue and suggested I try disconnecting it and try the dryer and to let him know if I still need a service call or even the name of a Vent cleaning service. The NEXT morning, Mark left a nasty, vile text message because I hadn't gotten back to him ....I hadnt even had a chance to disconnect the hose yet! I explained this to him in a reply text but he responded by calling me more nasty names and threatening me if I leave a review. I'm really taken aback by all this.... I called three appliance repair shops as my refrigerator was not working. Had to leave messages, except at one shop. I left a message w/ Coastal Appliance asking if they worked in my town (many local companies do not cover our area and we don't live in Ormond). Meanwhile, I was able to schedule another service person for the next morning. Mark returned my call the next morning as I was waiting for the scheduled service person to arrive. He asked me a few questions about what the refrigerator was doing. We spoke for a few minutes and I explained that I already had a repair person scheduled to come that morning, but if they didn't show up (have had 3 no-shows for tree work in the last week), I would call him back. The service person did come and repair the refrigerator, for a higher cost than expected. As I am relatively new to the area, and trying to find reliable and reasonable repair shops, I wondered what Coastal Appliance would have charged for this particular repair. So on Friday afternoon, I called and left a message for Mark explaining what the repair was and asking what Coastal Appliance would charge for something like that. He returned my call 15 minutes later but I was on the phone at the time so it went to voicemail. I was shocked when I got his message. Mark claimed that I was "harassing" him and that I had called him 6 times. (I had called twice in a 3 day period. No other calls to him, ever). He was very angry and left the following message: "I've set up to call the deputy sheriff's office 'cause now I find that you're harassing me . . . Now you're just harassing my company. If you call me one more time, I'm gonna call the deputy sheriff's and I'm gonna have you challenged for harassment. Understand me?! Get your refrigerator fixed. Have you lost your mind?! Don't call me again. If you do, I'm gonna put you in jail." I'm using quotes because that is exactly what he said. I saved the message. And of course I have the phone records. Perhaps he thought I was someone else? Or dialed the wrong number? That's the only explanation I can think of for such a hate-filled, threatening message based on lies. Even if he did make such a mistake, there is really no excuse for that kind of language and behavior. Clearly, would not recommend hiring this company or talking with Mark. read more

We have a high-end complicated range that is still under warranty but the warranty service company that was assigned to fix the range could not do it after many failed attempts and several parts replaced. We called Mark and he came over with voltage meters and checked each part of the range. He ordered the Correct part and within a few days we had our range fixed and it works perfectly! He is amazing and we sure appreciate him and his expertise. He has repaired other appliances in our home. We feel his knowledge and skills cannot be matched. read more

We have an ice maker that quit working about a month ago. Mark the owner of Coastal Appliance came out to look at it. He ordered a valve and a new ice maker because he obviously didn't know how to troubleshoot it. After a couple of weeks he came to put the valve in. That didn't work. He told me a crazy story about someone taking advantage of him on eBay and he was fighting them to get his money back from them for the ice maker he ordered. (Professionals order parts from suppliers or from the manufacturer.) Finally a couple weeks later he installs the new ice maker and it still doesn't work. He tells me he's going to have someone from LG contact me and that he's not working on it anymore. My landlord calls me to ask if the ice maker is working ok and I tell her it's still not working. She calls and leaves a message for mark because he doesn't answer. 15 minutes later she gets a text from him cussing her out and calling her names. I then get a string of texts from him using very unprofessional profanities. If he acts like this and he can't even fix an ice maker do you want him in your home taking your appliances apart? I'm convinced that his few good reviews he has are either fake or VERY easy fixes. Here is your GIANT RED FLAG folks! Save yourself time and agony and call a professional not Coastal Appliance. read more

This company (i. e. Mark Landowsky) called us twice very early in the morning on Weds, 1 Aug 2018, before we were even awake. We have been retired for eight years after serving the US Army for a combined 71 years between the two of us. We do not get up early after having to do so for our entire adult working lives. I have been trying to reach this person for the last two days and have left several msgs on his answering machine. In the meantime I have called other companies to fix our microwave as we want it repaired as soon as possible. He was angry, indignant and disrespectful with me on the phone because I called someone else. I gave him a chance to come and fix our microwave again as it still has not been repaired. The other company we called showed up with one person and said it would take two people to remove the microwave from over the cook top. After telling him this, Mr. Landowski proceeded to speak to me in the most rude and inappropriate tone that any vendor has ever spoken to me before in my entire life. I don't know what his problem is but his behavior towards me was completely out of line and very much uncalled for as there is never an excuse to vent anger and rudeness to someone, especially I would think if they were a possible future client. read more

He flew off the handle and treated me and my landlord rudely, swearing and calling us names. Fortunately, I did not have him do the work that we were discussing.
