I've been a customer of Coast Spas for 27 years and have purchased 2 hot tubs there. I recently needed to book a service call for a repair. I left an online booking for a service call and followed up with a phone call a couple of days later. I was never contacted by service. When you call in, you can't speak to a person. It's been 3 weeks and not a peep from them. So if you are looking for service, don't bother giving them a call. Instead, call Horvath Hot Tubs. I gave them a call and got an appointment 2 days later. Best of all, he fixed our "leak" and the total cost was under $200. I don't think Coast Spas has ever been out for a service call that cost me less than $500. I'm certain this is the last hot tub I will purchase from them. There is no customer service! read more

I contacted Coast and they would never honor the warranty, and did not have any other authorized dealers close . The were using proprietary parts , so no substitute parts would work . Edited again: Just keeps getting worse, So the Tech who looked at the pictures and diagnosed what was wrong with my spa, (yes you read that right, they diagnosed my spa's problem from a picture, because the child they sent out to work on my spa, new little to nothing about spas.) said that is was probably just an O ring that had failed on the pump. I asked why then would you want to replace the whole pump, when all it needs is an O ring, he said, "Because the manufacturer does not sell us O rings only the pumps." So, they want to charge me for a new pump at about $1,200 for parts and labor for a $3.00 part!!!!!! What is wrong with this company? I am an older woman on my own and I am certain they see me as an easy target. If I knew anything about machinery I would take this thing apart by myself, but sadly I do not. Shame on you coast spas! Don't expect service and tech support from this company. Bought the extended warranty and am trying to use said warranty. There is ZERO communication from their warranty department. I have had to call Rich's and warranty department frequently to get any answers on the fact that they are not coming out to find out why my spa is leaking. Finally they after sent out a child with no real experience to diagnosis the problem. It was apparent from the start he had little experience with spas, so I asked him how long he had been doing this, he told me he really didn't work on spas that he worked on fireplaces but he would fill in when they needed help with a spa. He had to continually send texts to someone to try and figure out what was going on with my spa and then took all the panels off the spa, looking for a second pump which he said he could hear was trying to start but was not working. (there is no second pump). After unable to find the second pump which he could "hear was trying to start" he told me, well they told me there is two pumps. Said Tech guy told me I would hear from Tech support that day to schedule a new appointment to replace the leaking pump. No call, no word for 6 days and that was only because I called Rich's repeatedly to find out when my leaking spa would be fixed. Every 3 days I have to replace 2inches of water lost through this leak. This is going to cost me a lot in water alone. The text they finally sent said, "Currently waiting for an ETA date on your replacement pump diagnosed by our tech." 6 days later I have still not heard from them. Have again left messages with Rich's and tech support for any answers. The saga continues. Edited: Oh wait there is more. Got an email from Tech, saying the manufacturer (Coast Spas) will not replace the pump because it is my fault it leaks. They said I put too much chemicals in and therefore not covered under warranty. This diagnoses came from a picture the tech they sent out, showing calcium deposit on pump. From this they decided it was my fault and I will now have to pay near $1,000 for a new pump and $179 per hour to replace. 1. The pump is working fine, it is leaking from an O ring or gasket, not sure what is in there. 2. I am not paying $179 for service when they have already proven that they send out people who have no idea how to work on a spa. (read above for more on that). This is ridiculous. We purchased our Cascade 2 Infiniti spa two years ago at a price of $28,500. Immediately we noticed we were having issues with what we thought was pump number one after one year of talking back-and-forth with the service department. they figured it was an issue with the current waterfall design after multiple service managers came and went from the company two years later, we still have not had the issue rectified. additionally, about two months ago we started seeing the face plate for the control panel separating and water was getting in behind the control panel. We now have no function ability of the hot tub other than using our app I was able to speak with the general manager about a month ago who said that she was planning on having a tech come in the next couple weeks and attach them to an email trend however not one person replied back to the email and she was extremely sorry for how long it has been taking to get your hot tub fixed. It has been two years now and we are at a loss for words here I thought I was treating my family to a top-of-the-line luxury hot tub with world class service instead we have bought I headache with countless hours of emailing and phoning and speaking with people and not getting anywhere. I purchased my Coast Spa in 2019 along with several other condo owners in my complex in BC. Several of the tubs started to experience black particles and a greasy substance being released into the water when jets are in use. Coast are suggesting that despite the fact that there are several tubs affected which are professionally maintained - that it is due to water and chemistry. Investigations suggest failing of component parts including valves and o-rings. Coast has refused to address under warranty. I would never recommend a Coast Spa and strongly suggest that you check for complaints with the Better Business Bureau of BC (several complaints closed due to unresponsiveness of Coast). I would encourage due diligence and caution when making an investment of this scale in their products. We had a previous tub for several years before purchasing from Coast with no issues. Let me start with saying we love our hot tub! But the customer service i have recived over the past few days has been horrible! Ive left multiple voicemails and have not recived a call back. I have recived responses to my email with nothing more then we need the serial number before we can provide any assistance and then proceed to take 24+ hours to reply to emails with no solutions to our problem. I am still waiting for help with what im hoping will be a simple solution but it shouldnt take days on end to get responses or even worse no response what so ever. 5 star hot tubs...0 star customer service. read more

The spa itself is nice. We bought the Radiance Curve model. We used it for 5 years without issue. We recently noticed, however, that the floor has developed a small crack in it about 1.5 inches long. We reached out to our dealership who in turn reached out to Coast regarding the issue. The spa is not presently leaking but we were concerned that the crack could become larger and cause other issues. We also had a repair man take a look to let us know thoughts/ options for repair. We were told that there is an air pocket in the floor material ( which is for sure a manufacturer defect) that is about 4 inches wide. The now known air pocket is directly where people stand to exit the spa and is the first spot that people step on when entering the spa so over time the crack appeared. We were informed that If the crack is not repaired, then it could eventually become much larger than it currently is. This information was relayed to Coast but they refused to assist with the repair. We asked if Coast would at least provide a colour match kit so that we could have the repair done locally with the correct spa colour. Again they refused. Coast has not responded to our concerns about the tub's performance issues and hardware problems, of which there have been several. Very disappointed and frustrated with Coast. Customer service has been non existent. We have black oily particles floating in the tub and sticking to the sides, the cover and headrests are ruined after 2 years, and the control panel cover is on its 3rd replacement. read more

I have owned a coast curved spa for 2.5 years it has spent last time running that it has working. So far I have replaced a pump the spa pack had several leaks. The spa pack now needs to be replaced again and customer service will not talk to only s be me back to the dealer that sold the hottub and no longer is a dealer for Coast Spa. Worst spa I have EVER had. NO service when it was bad within a month of install. One side of the foot massagers keeps stopping. The filter system has issues with keeping it clean. There is some type of floating white and black stuff, looks like some of the seals are already disintegrating. One of the small "fountains" barley trickles now. Yes, I watch ALL the chemical levels every week. If you turn the filter system on a 24 hour a day cycle it STILL doesn't help and then the temperature went up to 109 degrees Fahrenheit. I had to lower the cycle down to twice a day. read more

My wife and I recently purchased and moved into our new home. We always wanted our own hot tub and this was finally the opportunity we were waiting for to make that dream come true. We did a lot of researching online and shopping around. We visited a number of spa showrooms and even one (so called) factory showroom around the greater Portland/Vancouver metro area. In most cases, our first impression was that the salesman made us feel uneasy and a couple of them even creeped us out a bit. As for the tubs, we heard a lot about how great the other spa manufacturers were and how, for instance, a factory showroom could offer so much for so little cost. However, the tubs we saw in the showrooms did not appear as nice or as substantial in person as they appeared on the manufacturer websites. More importantly, we were totally caught off guard by the unexpectedly high price quotes: No kidding - $17K plus! Then we visited the Spa Logic showroom and met Rick. Right up front, Rick made us feel entirely comfortable and didn't try to pitch us in any way. He allowed us to look around the showroom and we immediately noticed a huge difference in the quality and luxury of the tubs. When we were ready to talk, Rick simply asked us what we needed. What really impressed us was that Rick was in no hurry to get a sale. In addition, he carefully guided us through the process of selecting the right tub and options/accessories for us. He even steered us away from some higher priced options because they were either too costly to maintain, or we simply wouldn't use them and why pay extra for that. It was such a great process and we appreciated his down to earth, helpful way of doing business. When the tub arrived at the store, Rick called us and scheduled delivery and setup for the very next day. Everything went great and the setup team did a great job too. I ran into one issue in that my number 2 pump did not work. I called Rick right away and he and another member of the sales/support team were on a speaker phone walking me through a troubleshooting process step by step. In short, I was able to quickly and easily resolve the issue, which turned out to be a connector that was not fully seated, and the tub was back up and running in under 5 minutes with both pumps fully operational. My wife and I used the tub for the first time later that same day it was delivered and we are so thankful we went with Coast Spa's Apex L Curve Luxury model. What an amazing tub! It simply blows us away! The awesome massage jets, aromatherapy, and Xtreme Multicolor LED GLO Jet & ChromaZone Lighting system combined to give us an incredible spa experience that made us both simply melt into total relaxation and forget the world around us. Mission accomplished! To be completely honest, this tub wasn't cheap by any means. But dollar for dollar, this tub blows away anything else out there on the market and we spent $5,000.00 less than the competitors had quoted us for their inferior tubs. Here's one really important thing to consider... Sit in the tub, even if it's empty, and you will notice a difference. We wanted a lounger in our tub. When we sat in the competitors tubs, the loungers had us sitting up with our legs stretched in front of us. None of the competitors loungers felt comfortable or relaxing to either of us. When we sat in the Coast tub, however, the lounger was totally different and seemed to cradle us in a more reclined, totally relaxing position. What a difference! In addition, there were two sets of foot pads; one set for shorter people like my wife and one set for taller people like me. This means the lounger works perfectly for both of us. Now that the tub is full of water, that lounger feels even better! I received an outstanding sales experience from Carolyn. The first time I went in she spent close to 2 hours explaining everything to me (there's lots to learn about spas). There was never any pressure and she worked with the price point I gave her. However, I didn't buy that day as I wanted to toss the numbers by my wife and take more measurements at home. A few days ago, I went back and chose a more expensive one, albeit still working within a budget. Some of the "extras" were missing but I was willing to still buy it. Carolyn and her manager came up with a great deal that included the "extras" and I made the purchase. Great service on the sales floor. DO NOT purchase a Coast Spa if you live in the USA. Understand that Coast Spas is a Canadian company so when, (not if) they decide to not fix your spa under their warranty, there is not much you can do to hold them accountable under US laws; and Coast Spas knows this. I purchased a $20k swim spa from them in California and the spa leaked from the very first day and the air diverter did not work. After four repair visits, the air diverter still does not work, the spa still leaks, and they tried to replace pump #4 with a bigger pump to get the air diverter work, and that failed miserably. The pump replacement was so bad and leaked so much, that the repairman shut off the inlet and outlet valves before he left so the pump does not work at all. After 3 months of internal leaking, the damp air inside the spa is now attacking all the electronics and the spa's control panel has stopped working. I am now having to hire an attorney to try to force Coast Spas to honor their warranty. I will be posting further updates documenting all their failed repair attempts and the progress of my legal battle. The one possible saving grace may be that I paid for the swim spa on a Capital One credit card and I am disputing all the charges. This lemon of a swim spa may end up not costing me $20k, but I will be left with a worthless POS in my backyard. Do not bother trying to post a negative review on Coast's website or facebook page because they will delete your negative review and then block you from further postings. If you are an American, do not purchase any products from Coast Spas. I bought a swim spa from them and it failed from the first day. After four repair attempts which did not fix the problem under warranty, Coast simply quit responding to my communications. I have gotten an attorney, we served them up in Canada, and they simply refused to respond. We may get a default judgment against them, but the judgment may be worthless. DO NOT put yourself in the same position I am in. Do not buy a spa manufactured in Canada because Coast Spa will not honor their warranty and they will refuse to respond to court papers. The headline photo on Coast's Yelp page showing a swim spa with three holes where the swim jets are, is my swim spa. Regardless of what your local spa dealer will tell you, they are lying to you if they tell you that Coast Spas will stand behind their warranties. My local dealer, Coastal Spas in Placentia, CA gave up fixing my spa, and walked away from the total mess telling me to contact the manufacturer directly, and now I am screwed. We are pursuing the court case in the US and then we will attempt to get the judgment served in Canada, but you do not want the headache. I purchased an infinity Wellness spa from The Spa Mover in Placerville California. Starting 3 months after ownership the spa developed a leaky valve. This started a series of phone tag, text messages and having to send multiple photos to the dealer. The leaky valve dripped on a motor for over 30 days, which ended up shorting out the motor. That started more messaging which resulted in the dealer having to change out the motor. The spa operated fine for a few months and then the salt system went out. We again notified the dealer who basically told us it would be cheaper for us to buy the system and put it in ourselves then to pay him to come take it out and then go order the part and then come back and replace it. I have spent so much time on the phone with customer support in Canada. This is the worst purchase I have ever made in my life. I have owned 3 spas and never have had the likes of these problems. Worst dealer ever. Worst spa company ever. The one good thing I can say is the technician In Canada was always friendly, and we got to know each other schedules. Do not purchase a Coast spa! Whatever you do do not purchase from The Spa Mover unless you really love to play text tag, as he will not take a phone call. read more

Update: Well just updating the review. Finally after my hounding them after they missed the appointment Southwest hot tubs (the Arizona rep) came by, after a few discussions and several trips for him to find a proper o-ring and bringing a new part. The spa is working with the diverter valve staying in place. As to other issues such as the lid being installed on the access panel...sw hot tubs had provided a submersible pump so it can be drained without going in the access panel. They also supplied a bunch of chemicals and will drop off a few filters to make up for the event rep misrepresenting the product. From what I now understand Coast Spas was supposed to send out a rep to train 6 months ago. It hasn't happened yet. Not my Problem but I can understand what has happened now. In a perfect world I wish what was represented was what I received. But the seller/local rep has tried to fix the situation and is bending over backwards to be accommodating. The worst thing I ever bought in my life. Five years now and it hasn't worked 50% of the time. I've had the same parts replaced multiple times and at least 10 different technicians here. Horrible warranty hassle! Our hot tub is less than 3 years old, was bought as a replacement for the house we moved into, the previous owners had a coast spa as well, that one lasted about 7 years. The new one has had a few issues already, a speaker stopped working shortly after the warranty for the electronics ran out ($350 for the part alone), the cover lift has broken after 2 years and now there is a hole in the shell. We thought it wouldn't be an issue to have them do a simple patch and replace some of the insulation that was removed whole the repair guy investigated, nope...they denied that the hole is anything that was their fault, the hole is on the side near a lip that is impossible to hit with enough force to do any damage, the acrylic paint is still there as well, just cracked and sunken in a bit, the material behind it is gone, maybe a 1/4" hole that has to be either an air bubble or a contaminant in the shell. They flat out refuse to even talk to us, told us to talk to our dealer as they have determined that they won't fix it, I even asked for an independent 3rd party to come take a look, nothing. Do not buy from this manufacturer as they will look for any excuse to get out if their warranty, we did like it while it was working but it has been 7 weeks now since we used it last, yes...7 weeks for them to come back and say no. I only started up my Coast Infinity Edge spa on March 30, 2018. To my surprise, the heater did not work. Since then, I have been on a wild goose chase to get either Customer Service or the warranty department at Coast Spas in Canada and/or Mattress Firm (company that sold me the spa) in New York to get someone out to replace the defective heater. What a joke.......Coast Spas' Warranty guy in Canada, George King told me that Mattress Firm is responsible for the heater replacement and 2 of the Mattress Firms' Customer Service women told me that Coast Spas' Service Center in Houston Texas is the responsible group. Worst hot tub purchase, have had to replace both pumps, headrests kept peeling, jet covers kept coming off, hot tub overheats and service guy did not replace temp shut-off valve when putting in new pumps. The hot tub base is tar paper, mice managed to burrow in and chewed tubing and electrical wiring ruining it. Just finished cutting up a $7000 hot tub with a reciprocating saw and can't wait to get this piece of junk to the dump. My main regret is recommending Coast to two friends. read more

The shell is very solid compared to others, also the tub uses components that are readily available if need be later in the life of the unit, rather than specifically designed over priced components some manufacturers use. Chlorine pucks discolour the surface. Within a couple of years the pillows disintegrated, valves fell off and all of the metal has corroded, with rust so thick it is leeching into the water. The Dealer used for purchase and service in Connecticut closed due to the death of it's owner almost 2 years ago (condolences to his family) and Coast Spas made no effort to obtain a new local service provider. We now have no ability to get the Tub serviced and it is still under Warranty! An over $9000 tub is sitting empty, unusable with no help from this crappy Company!! Phone calls to Customer Service, Managers and President of the Company are not answered or returned. Looks like we will now have to bring a lawsuit against them. This Tub is not a luxury for us .. it is a healthcare necessity needed to fight the side effects of disease and they could care less... Do your research and find a different Spa Tub manufacturer!! I agree that there is some sprucing up needed on some items. Headrests do disintegrate after a year or two. The shiny surrounds to the jets are made of plastic which will snap and you can open your hot tub to find one swirling around the bottom. The access panel might better be called the no access panel. It pretty much takes two people, so cleaning the hot tub is not a job for someone with an unexpected afternoon off. Get your electrician to put in a breaker near the tub - they have no off switch so it's impossible to have a conversation or listen to music while soaking. (Unless you either race dripping through the house to the basement to flip the breaker or remember to turn it off before you get in - and then you have to remember to turn it back on) (Which makes me wonder if they were wise enough to put an off switch on the pumps on the models with built in speakers or if you just turn the volume up to jet engine level - ask before you spend ) I might be a humbug but - Lights? Waterfalls? Speakers? Extra jets? All in my not necessary list. Most of the lights are little twinkles around the edge - not for finding dropped items, seeing your co-tubbers, etc. Save your $. Waterfall? Cute for the first 5 minutes, then you turn it off and get an airlock in the lines to that pump. As you noted I prefer to soak - for the majority of the time - without jets. Nice for a quick "massage" but then I would rather watch tv, listen to music, talk to my hubby.. . without the benefit of loud droning. Be prepared for the expense. It will add $100 / month to your hydro bill and maybe that much more in chemicals if you are heavy users. They also attract rodents (warm cozy spot for the winter) - try putting traps inside the access panel - or face chewed wire and pipes and insulation read more

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM COAST SPA, even if you live in the Vancouver Lower Mainland and think that you'll receive good customer service, as they are LOCAL. As other reviews have mentioned, these spas break down ALL THE TIME, and as they have a patent on their motors, only they can work on it or replace it. So you are immediately held CAPTIVE...and can you say $$$$. At first I thought that it made sense and they were being environmentally aware, when they told me that they had to wait to schedule my apmt when there was a day's worth of apmts in my area, approx 1 hour from their factory and main retail location. So I waited for 3 weeks for them to call me back with a date...later that week. Then when they came, they charged me $88/hour PLUS a $63 'Trip Cost". When I questioned this and asked if their serviceman was not doing a day's worth of apmts in my neighourhood... he said yes, and that every person would be charged $63 "Someone has to pay for this car and my cell etc"...really 5x apmts/day, 5 days/wk, 52 wks/year...= $81,900/yr. WHAT A MONEY GRAB. I have a very larger home and book repairmen all the time...NO ONE charges "Trip Fees"... DO NOT BUY THEIR HOT TUB!! Their product is a piece of junk. We have owned hot tubs for over 35 years and this one was by far the worst experience we have ever had. In less than 5 years we have had to replace all of the three pumps, the circuit board, and the heater. In addition the tub developed a large crack, within the warranty timeframe, which leaked all the way through the fiberglass. We started working with the company we purchased the hot tub from back in March to have Coast Spas fix the crack. The retailer sent several pictures , emails, and had multiple phone conversations with Coast customer support with no help!! Finally we had to have the crack fixed ourselves for $348. The invoice and pictures of the repair being made was sent to Coast for reimbursement saying they would only credit us back $100. Our retailer argued with them to cover the actual cost of the repair. Coast finally only agreed to give a credit to the retailer For the $348. This has been a four month nightmare!!!!! Coast advertises themselves a the Best Built Spas in the World, this is not true. BUYER BEWARE COAST SPAS ARE JUNK. I balance my water every few days and still had my pillows fail after 6 months. They had to replace the motor after 1 year I asked the repair tech why and he said that they were having problems with the model of motor( I guess that's my fault). The remote from the radio never worked and I was charge $80 for a replacement. The dials to adjust the jets are extremely difficult to turn.The water fall start leaking since day one and had to get replaced recently at my cost which was $500 total and let me tell a good portion of the insulation had to be removed to access the water fall. (I guess my fault) When I purchased the spa the person came out to show me how to use it he didn't take the plastic off of the filter (I guess that's my fault too). I had to order a replacement part to the cabinet as it was damaged when it was delivered, I took them the original piece to get them to match it up and it took them 4 tries to get it right (I guess my fault again). The service and parts department is terrible the guy behind the counter(scott) is rude and unhelpful I guess when they sell you the product it stops there. .
